Hii. Just wanted to say that I love your artwork, your photos and your film taste so much 💝 and i wanted to ask you about something, (I'm sorry if it's inapropriate or feels too inquisitive or smth) are you happy with your major at uni? I think you study film, if i'm not wrong, and I made a wrong decision with my major and I want to change that so badly, and I'm interested in photography, cinema and etc. so could you please talk about your studies a little? Hello anon! 

Thanks for trusting me enough to ask such an important question. It’s not inquisitive at all and I’m happy to help! Actually I majored Film in grad school (graduated with MFA 2 yrs ago), but majored psychology in undergrad. I wouldn’t know exactly where you are at your studies or how much you want that degree to have anything/something to do with your future career, so I think I’ll just talk a little about my case. I’ve always been interested in cinema/art, but for many reasons I couldn’t take the step to major what I really wanted. But I can’t say that it was a total waste of time studying psych ‘cause I think to me it was all related to being curious about humanity and finding beauty and meaning. So I did make some detour to finally study film but I was very happy about it and I have no regret about it. I guess each program has different strength/focuses so if you can find a place that can really make your interest grow, it will do great things for you. Especially cinema is an art form where collaboration with others is instrumental, and as an introvert with serious insecurities (well who’s being inappropriate now lol) I needed that sense of community and that push by my colleagues to even start to think that I could do it. But maybe you should really look into what aspect/process of filmmaking you want to be involved in, because in my case my school really valued learning theories of film studies and learning films in the context of liberal arts/philosophy/sociology etc., while some people would like to focus on the film production itself. So it wasn’t for everybody, and I personally loved the program but also I felt like I lacked some necessary field-related discipline and training even after graduation, because I’m not so bright at using technology and stuff, which is why I worked at film sets to cover that area as much as I can. I’m still not sure if I have what it takes, but all my interest, my curiosity, my want never went away, and I’m glad that I gave it a chance. But also there are so many resources you can use online these days, and maybe if you’re a self-starter, you could just start doing your thing. Now this sounds way too all over the place, but that’s my case. Hope this helps! Good luck and thanks again for your sweet words <3<3

Even and Isak at a picnic

This year I had the chance to participate in the Skam Reverse Bang (@skambigbang) and here is my art <3 Thank you to the writers whom I had the pleasure to talk to and share ideas with, I appreciated your asking for my opinions, (even though I was mostly just in awe of their imaginations) and most of all, for writing fics inspired by my drawing. This has been quite extraordinary seeing the writers come up with their ideas, seeing beyond my drawing.

late night doodle time while I was thinking of Isak as a young god who came down to earth on a midsummer night only to meet a sweet guy named Even who specializes in flirty jokes and making wild flower bouquets at a small town festival

maybe in this universe it's Isak who leaves a note when he has to go back  after their night together and from that day Even aches for Isak  

and when finally Isak just couldn't stand not seeing even anymore and came back down and even wouldn't let him go even in his sleep
