Chapter 6: Sometimes when Isak is working, seemingly lost in thought as he sands down one of the new pilasters or cuts two wood pieces to the same length, there's a sudden change to his movements, a sharp intake of breath, and then he turns around and looks for me.

The first time it happens, he is kneeling at the foot of the stairs. He's been pulling on his unwashed hair all day. There's wood dust smeared on his forehead where he must have rubbed the skin with the back of his hand, and there's more of it clinging to the little gilt hairs on his arms. For reasons unknown, he's only wearing one sock.

He's so lovely.

The moment his gaze finds me, he swallows and the tightness around his mouth softens. He gives me a small smile. It stays on his face as he turns back to his work.

Keep Me Warm

Chapter one - For the Best

“Hi again,” Even says when they’re standing in front of each other, his words instantly dissolving into the booming music. “Hi.” The guy tilts his head up, smiling, then slightly leans forwards. “I’m Isak.” “Even.” “Eivind?” Isak frowns, somehow seeming to know that it doesn’t sound quite right. Even shakes his head, then leans in in turn, closer than Isak has just before, close enough that he can bring his lips to his ear, almost brushing his skin. “Even,” he repeats. When he pulls back, he sees Isak’s eyelids flutter for a second, his long lashes casting frail shadows onto his cheekbones. He nods and repeats the name to himself. It’s too low for Even to hear him over the music, but he can see by the movement of his lips that Isak got it right this time.

Summary :

This was supposed to be a simple story.

Boy meets boy in a club on a Friday night.

Boys laugh and dance, boys kiss, boys crave each other. And they agree that their story won’t mean any more than that.

But feelings have the unfortunate habit of getting in the way. So when a one night stand turns into a whole weekend and passionate embraces make way for shared confessions, Even thinks this might begin to look like a love story.

Isak doesn’t seem to feel that way.

GUYS! If you liked SKAM I have a great TV show for you. Its called ,,Mixte 1963" or ,,Voltaire high". Its got the same vibe like SKAM, but Its happening during the 60s in France. There's a lot of romance and it also discuss important stuff (feminism, lgbt rights,...). Give it a chance, I promise

Chapter 4 titled ‘the etymology of oblivion’ is now up from my new @skambigbang 2023 fic! I hope you like it! @mazarin01 photography continues to visualize the story in beautiful detail. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t call out my beta @claire.loved.books who has been there every step of the way, helping nurture this story into being. Here’s a teaser for you:

“What do you want?” he growls before pulling back to look Isak square in the eye.

The question stumps Isak. “I… I don’t know,” he answers honestly as he worries his lip raw under the heat of that stare. It is suddenly all very real, very here, very now.

“Have you been with a guy before?” Yeah. Of course. One guy.

“Yeah. Of course. Lots of times.”

“Okay, Mr. Lots-of-times…” he smirks.

The stranger feels good, the parts of him pressed up against Isak feel good. Those very same parts that are now rhythmically grinding into him feel very good. Isak’s eyes close, even though he couldn’t see much in the shadowy interior of the small space. With his eyes shut, it is easier to pretend it is someone else kissing him, grinding up against him. Lighting up his body in a way that won’t betray his true feelings to this stranger. He moans softly, his mind taking over, imagining someone else pressing him against the wall. Those thoughts help to push away the twinge of uncertainty that had started to take root in the pit of his stomach, right alongside some slow burning nausea.
