some pics of my pretty boy! his name is kixal. he is a barbarian from the wilds.

he doesn’t like to get involved in anything he doesn’t have to be. he’s incredibly observational and mostly takes a standpoint of “i just want to see what happens.” he hates mediating other people’s business, and if he is forced to, he will often tell a white lie or act sarcastically because he simply does not care. he is here to protect himself and the people he has deemed to have rational survival skills.

coming from the wilds, he survives largely on his natural instincts, which are very in tune with nature. he loves beasts and animals, befriending every companion he comes across. however, he recognizes when something is a genuine threat, and is quick to act accordingly. if the situation calls for it, he will kill a beast if there is something of more value to gain, but he does so with respect.

he does not trust strangers. they are almost always immediately perceived as a threat and an annoyance. when people get involved, they die, and he doesn’t necessarily care about their death as much as he is frustrated by the fact their fuck ups have resulted in a failure. he takes on people who know what they are doing, can hold themselves in a fight, and will listen to his instruction. he can recognize the areas people are strong in and does not value one strength over another; high brawn is just as impressive as high intelligence, for example, and he likes to keep his small team well varied in skill. people who are extrovertedly charismatic for the sake of friendliness are not his cup of tea, though, as they are often optimistic about strangers rather than impassive or pessimistic.

instead of actual armor, he prefers to wear furs and scrap fabrics, with a lot of honorifics from his previous battles. the colors he most often wears are reds, blacks, whites, and very rarely shades of sandy tans. stones and crystals, bones, teeth, and other items from nature are often handcrafted by him into jewelry and worn. if he gifts someone a handcrafted piece, whether it be jewelry or an article of clothing, or a really nice fur, it means he likes them. a lot.

he has more lore, and a backstory that i think is really cool, but that’s just some baseline info!
