I've been trying to process this & idk where else to say it but I work at a university and at the 3 year mark staff gets enhanced tuition benefits without an annual limit of coverage for coursework and I waited exactly 3 years at my job to pursue a master's because I couldn't afford it otherwise and was about a week away from submitting my application that I've also been working on for a few months and because the trump administration is pulling federal funds from higher ed the university is cracking down on everything and everyone and they just informed us that the tuition benefits with no annual limit that I've been working 3 years towards is officially canceled and no longer offered to anyone that works there.

I settled on having it look like a relationship bc the similarities kinda haunt me, this has been on my mind a lot since I've had no fixations for 6 months and I'm now trying to adjust to living without, so I wanted to put it in art form :')

ok I'm sorry but what is HAPPENING............. The whole........ fucking point...... of TLOU2 game..... is that Ellie is unable, UNABLE, to access....... her final porch memory with Joel....... until the VERY END OF THE STORY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I am sorry, but this is an entirely more UNINTERESTING VERSION of this plot !!!!!! We are not SUPPOSED to know Abby's motivation until we get to her part, until she is the main character. Ellie is MEANT to drown so deeply and so much in her grief that her ability to recall her last memory with Joel.... yes, a painful one, but still punctured with a sliver of hope, one that maybe, finally, allows her to regain some of her humanity, and is what eventually saves her....... like, he literally SAVES her one last time... AND her inability to access it up until then is a journey we go on with her.... like, Craig Mazin, what the fuck are we doing here?? What is this watered down version of a complex, heart breaking storyline, one that now apparently must possess much smoother edges to - what - appease the tv masses........???? Because when I tell you, I enjoyed season 2 episode 6 less and less with each passing minute as I began to realize we were headed straight for that porch scene.... ????!!!! I've been a defender of part II (the game) for years, I love the structure and struggle it takes to earn each part of this sequel. But now........ what, Abby is spelling out everything point blank from the start, and we already got the porch scene???????? We already got the reconciliation? We're spoon fed every single narrative beat, with no consideration for WHY the story was told in the way that it originally was.....???? wtf, wtf !!!!! like I'm sorry, but what the actual FUCKKKK................ are we doing?????
