Ok so

About Eclipse

During this summer we'll be uploading the Interlude between Part 2 and Part 3, which consists of an important reveal and a hint of what's coming next >:3.

After that, we'll unfortunately have to go on a hiatus. To be clear, it's not a normal hiatus— it's no break, as we'll be using this time to change how we make chapters ready.

Up until now, we had planned out an outline of the whole fic (along with a timeline, worldbuilding, characterization details, etc) and I would write chapter by chapter just by that, discussing the details with Nyx when necessary; on the go. 

This framework did work at the time, but our lifestyles have changed and now it is no longer sustainable. This is why it's been so much time between chapters.

Thus, we are taking some time to rework the whole framework. The fic itself will not be changed one bit, but we will make sure to have at least a rough draft for each remaining chapter by the time we start uploading again. This way, I will only have to fancy them out before they're ready, so uploads will be more consistent no matter how busy we are.

We have not set ourselves a fixed time limit to accomplish this, although I would like to have it done in a year. I cannot promise anything, but I hope you can keep being as patient as you've been all this time. Thank you very much!

In the mean time, as I've said before somewhere, I might post updates about our progress or even some silly extra stuff :3.

I don't have the time to do other prompts but I wanted to participate in the kkob week somehow, so here is it :D

Names are powerful and Obito hasn’t been called by his for almost 20 years, I can’t imagine how much it messed up his sense of self. Also I'm obsessed with the way Kakashi always says his name in almost a whisper, like he'll disappear if he's too loud, his voice is always so soft too.

So after the war and everything Obito hears Kakashi say his name in that gentle and soft way and he melts.

Whats your opinion on Narusasu? (Naturo x Sasuke)

YES

Sasuke is actually my third favourite character (I really like Naruto too), he's my gay son, and he deserves all the love and affection and I believe Naruto is the best suited to give it to him.

I love their dynamic in the show (I mean their bond is one of the main themes of the story after all) and the narrative themes and parallels that come with it. Also the fact that they are canonically soulmates!! Tho I believe their relationship can't be defined by labels like "lover", "friend" or "brother" and there’s no correct way to interpret it, I just personally prefer the romantic interpretation because they're really cute.

Anyway I love them so much my second favourite ship after obkk <3<3

hi can we just have a quirk update on eclipse you are doing so well on it and I love reading so take your time and reite the best you can

I mean...

we're working on it :). I've had very little time and energy to write since Uni started, and Nyx has also been busy with other stuff. In the end we've come to realize that we must rethink how we organize the fic's drafts (this one has turned out to be super long in the end), so that is what we're doing this summer after this chapter and the interlude (yes, there will be a short-ish interlude after this one).

After we are done rescheduling, chapters should be out more frequently. In the mean time, we'll probably also post here some deleted scenes or ideas that couldn't make it out into the chapters, but we can't promise anything! (sorry, but it may be too spolery or even misleading to the final narrative, so we'll think about it thoroughly'^^)

With that said, thank you to everyone who's been so patient, telling us to take our time. It really does mean the most, since life has been a lil messy. I haven't been very active on this site lately, and I can't promise that I will be in the future, but rest assured that I ALWAYS check out all the comments and asks. It just takes time to bring myself to reply '^^.

This project is very meaningful to us. We (especially Nyx) have always wanted to address the issues on how the ninja treat Kai, the mishandlings by the writers that lead everything to be left unresolved, at least in the main series.

(pls no DR spoilers we haven't watched the latest seasons yet)

We are not abonding it. Ever. (like it's impossible at this point)

Would you fall in love with me again - Epic the musical x Obikaka

This is what really happened in Kamui trust me.

I've been a fan of Epic since before it released, so I was really excited for the end and then I heard this song and I inmediately thought of Kakashi and Obito, so I had to do something. The song is like 5 min long tho so I only took a small part of it (I didn't notice it was 2 min, I thought it was shorter but I have no regrets).

I also altered some of the lyrics to fit Kakashi and Obito's story better.

My favourite ships or "the break-ups that caused all of the problems of the show".

I love details so here are a few of them:

For the poses: Madara is forcing Hashirama to look at him while Sasuke is refusing to look at Naruto. And Kakashi's pose is very unstable, meaning he's trusting Obito not to drop him.

The red accesories are placed where they have hurt each other (Madara's is the red rose).

The backgrounds are all meaningful places: Madara and Hashirama in a battlefield, Kakashi and Obito in Kamui and Naruto and Sasuke in the Valley of the end.

I just wanted to reach out and say how truly amazing the fic is! You’ve done such a great job with it, it’s super well written, and probably one of the best Ninjago fics I’ve ever read

I honestly never believe that my work on our fic is so great until Nyx ( @enavstars ) tells me that they want to read more as my beta reader for each chapter, or until I read the amazing comments on Ao3 or Tumblr once it's done (including asks like this one, I love them ;_;). So thank you so much for your message, it helps me keep up my confidence and it warms my heart <3.

I can't deny that the pressure is there, and not just from publishing, which is scary on its own (this is the first time I do that :'D), but also from myself. I want to make sure that the story is properly spelled out, that it's consistent; this is my first large project after all. Thank you for reassuring me that my writing is good at such a stressful time for me :>

I'm not doing well

These three months have been the busiest of my life, and while I've kept writing Eclipse, I haven't been able to write much at all. So I'm gonna finish this chapter, and then we'll talk about it, because I can't even take a break on Christmas (my exams are in January) and I'm kinda at my limit.

Will make a proper announcement soon, but just wanted to break the silence a bit and be honest. I'll reply to the amazing comments on ao3 whenever I have time, and when I am on the right mind to do so.

For context I hc that Kakashi realized he had a crush on Obito only after Kannabi bridge.

So this was a hell of a project. Those who follow me bc of my ninjago stuff know that I sometimes do these kind of amvs/animations (is it animation if I only draw the pictures and put basic transitions? I want to learn to animate but my adhd won’t let me). But this one in particular took me a long time bc I got hyperfixated on it, then dropped it, then hyperfixated again, dropped it again and so on. In the end it was exhausting and I'm not that happy with how it turned out. I'm posting it anyway and hope you guys like it <3
