Yk how the turtles never really had any character development during the show? That was so disappointing. I think alot about Mikey in particular because he's the youngest (and my favorite). The turtles would be about my age or older at the end of the 2k12 show. I just imagine all the ways they would go about their teenage years having no time to discover themselves. At the end when theres no more adventure, all of that teenage angst and grief would pile up full force. It would probably be really bad for awhile. There is so much life after your teenage years. The series is like a metaphor for the teenage experience in general. (Obviously not everyone, going off my experience) Things change in highschool and you're exposed. Fighting all these battles that feel like the entire world. Just chasing that end goal, which doesn't even land you at middle age. But once you grow up none of it matters anymore. The shredders and villains sort of fade into the background, showing themselves only casually. None of those villians that held you back need to be there anymore, at the cost of your childhood.

I realized how little we know about him while drawing this, anticipating learning more. I’d like to give him more emotion. Still getting used to drawing him so he’s a little dead faced. Also I think I’m incapable of drawing skinny jeans.

Working on some stuff with actual lineart so heres some school doodles and my headcanons while i finish ^^

- Erica mentioned once in one of her answered questions that one of the VAs headcanoned that whatever mental illness sock had in life, hes free from in death. I'm adopting that.

- Sock hates/bites dentists and loves space

- i know that Jonathan has his specific music taste already hinted but he gives me Blink-182 and Green Day vibes. Also i think his guitar lessons would be inspired by Def Leppard.

I've not really ever been the kind of guy to rewatch something over and over, nor have I really ever understood the people that do, until today. I've watched w2h part 1 and 2 back to back every day since it's come out. Sometimes twice. I just hope every penny my watch through gives Erica means 1 penny more to w2h2 part 2.

If W2h has 100 fans, im 1 of them. If w2h has 20 fans, I'm 1 of them. If w2h has 0 fans, I'm dead. If w2h has -1 fans, I've come back as a ghost and haunt my laptop to play it on repeat.

Go watch w2h 2 pt 1 if you haven’t already, or watch it again. Both parts have been on repeat since w2h2 came out I’m so excited😭❤️ I’m a senior this year and I first fell in love with the film when I was in 6th grade. I’ve been following Erica Wester for such a long time too and idk just expect to see more w2h art!
