a/n: happy november !! i hope everyone had an amazing halloween and is ready for the holidays !

The holiday season is usually everyone’s favorite time of year, and that includes you and your girlfriend of 3 months, Olivia. You’ve done every thing together, to making cookies to setting up your christmas trees, and you love how pretty she looks in front of the fireplace.

Today, you guys tackled ice skating. You bundled up in your coats and scarves and headed off to the rink. It was magical. There were kids playing hockey on the ice and some building snowmen and throwing snowballs at each other. Parents sit on the benches with steaming coffee in their hands, also cheering on the hockey players. You both get on the ice with barely any confidence, you hold hands and take off. When you both finally get the hang of it, you do your own things.

“Liv!” You call from across the rink, “Watch!” You yell as you spin around. “Wow, how impressive.” She says while rolling her eyes. You huff, “It was cool!” She just smiles back as she skates towards you. She looks silly with her puffy jacket on, three layers of long sleeve shirts on and probably struggling to move.

She reaches for your hand and pulls you in for a hug. “It’s freezing and it’s getting dark, how about we go home and make some hot chocolate? and maybe come back tomorrow?” She asks, head buried in your neck. “Sounds good.” You reply.

At home, you both are sitting on the couch, watching Elf. Olivia’s head is on your shoulder watching not the movie, but you. She looked at you in awe as you giggled at a joke in the film. Her hand reached up at you face, which made you look down at your girlfriend. “Hi.” You said with a giggle. “Hi!” She replied, moving her head up. Her warm hands moved to your cheeks, gently moving your face towards hers, then suddenly going in for a kiss.

Both of your hearts stop.

You smile into the kiss and move your arms around her neck. Butterflies fill your stomachs like a romcom, it’s so cheesy. She pulls back then rests her forehead against yours. Then, giggles fill the room. “Sorry, I had too.” Olivia says. You shake your head while pulling her back in.

The plaid blanket was soft underneath Taylor’s arms as she propped herself up to look at you.

“Tay, I can do a cartwheel!” You excitedly yelled. You got into position so you could do one more to show her. Your hands met the green ground and your legs flew up into the air, wobbling a little when you landed.

“Amazing!” She smiled, “I wish I could do one.”

“I could teach you someday.” You said, dusting off your grass stained hands.

“I would love that!” She said genuinely.

You walked back to Taylor, laying your on stomach on the blanket. She smiled down at you before patting her lap where her computer used to be, she must’ve moved it for you.

Moving onto her jean-short covered legs, you sighed softly. Taylor rested her hand on your cheek, rubbing back and forth with her thumb.

Taylor was lost in thought, she loved days like these. Just her and her lover goofing around and enjoying the warmth and each other’s presence.

There was no paparazzi around to bother you, mostly because of the other people, they couldn’t get to you. Taylor would probably find pictures taken across the park later, but at least it was quiet.

Taylor started to hum, a melody you recognized immediately. Jump Then Fall, the song she had written about you. You closed your eyes, enjoying her soft hums. You tapped her kneecap to the beat of the song, making her giggle.

“I love you.” Taylor said, smiling down at your calm face. “Hm, I love you too.” You said, opening one eye to look up at her. She looked up again, going back to humming.

Warnings: veryyyy fluffy, not proofread, sorry!

Taylor has been having dreams of you ever since she developed a crush on you, but this time it’s different. This dream keeps coming back. A dream of you two on the beach, stealing glances at each other, then she randomly confesses her love.

Taylor wakes up calmly, open eyes meeting your features. She studies you, her smile grows looking at your chest, how it rises slowly. Meredith and Olivia are at her feet while Bens head is resting on your ankle. She lets you go, pushing you away gently. You whine, trying to get your arms back around her torso. “Babe, please let me go.” Taylor says with a giggle, placing Olivia in the same spot she just left. “Fine, hurry up.” You say, falling back asleep almost immediately. Taylor giggles again.

She runs down the stairs with her phone, Meredith following her. Taylor turns on the kitchen light, grabbing a cup of water while she hums a melody to the cat running across the room.

Switching from the kitchen to the living room, she sits the glass on the tv stand, moving to sit at the piano. She presses record on the voice memo app playing with some notes. Soon after, she adds lyrics to the melody she came up with earlier.

and it’s like snow at the beach, weird but fucking beautiful.

Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful

Taylor stops recording when she hears the bedroom door open, then she hears your feet and cat paws come downstairs. “Hey, i didn’t wake you, did i?” She asks, concern laced in her voice. “No, i woke up on my own, missed you though.” You said, coming over to the piano and sitting. “I know you did.” Taylor says with a smirk. “Shut up.” You say with a laugh.

Taylor gets up, grabbing her phone in one hand and her cup in the other. She chugs the water, putting the cup on the counter for the morning. “Tired?” She asks, wrapping her arms around you. “Yeah, can we please go back to bed?” You say, resting your hands on her hips as she slowly rocks you back and forth. “Sounds good.” She smiles.

After getting comfortable in bed, with your head against her chest and the cats back at your feet. She whispers the lyrics she came up with to you. “I can help you finish the song tomorrow, ok?” You ask, sleep starting to take over you. “Alright, goodnight hun.” She says softly. “Goodnight Tay.”

When you park your car in the senior parking lot, you let your shoulders relax. You look around to see a special someone’s car, “she must not be here yet” you said to yourself. Hopping out of the leather seat and placing your feet on the pavement, you turn to grab your bag out of the passenger seat.

The walk to the entrance is long, the parking lot being about 3 minutes too far. You pick up your pace when the student council president opens the doors. When you finally make it to your locker, you sling your book bag off your back and into your hands, growing concerned that Taylor isn’t here yet.

Your hands find their way to the magnetic bins that are on your locker door, grabbing a pencil, when you hear fast footsteps from beside you. Taylor throws her arms around your shoulders, “Hi!” She said, snuggling her face into your shoulder. “Good morning!” You replied, quick to hug her back. You guys stay like that before Taylor gets into her locker, hanging her jean jacket on the hook installed.

After you both finish getting your things, you both happily walk to first period together, Taylor keeping her arm around your waist. Maybe tomorrow morning you should pick her up.
