Since I've been consuming a lot of vampire media lately, I've been thinking of the trope that, for a vampire to be "good", they have to drink animal blood instead of human blood.

But it would be an interesting concept to explore if they feel forced to drink human blood, for if they drink too much animal blood they lose themselves to their most primal urges. They become animalistic, so to say.

Imagine a young vampire, horrified at the notion of feeding off a human, starting to change their diet to only animals.

The first few times, it does the trick. They feel great! Seems like it's working..

When it's been a few weeks, they start getting more irritated, more cranky.

When it reaches a month, they find themselves one day in the woods, full of dirt, with no notion of how they got there.

That's the last time they're lucid.

edit: yes I know that boats like that likely wouldn’t fish on a lake, and that where avalon should be isn’t really a lake anymore - I promise I know this 😂 - the imagery of Arthur being fished out of a lake in a net was just too hilariously powerful 😂
