somewhere out there right now is a kid with curly hair being raised by people who have wavy hair at best and those people are giving them 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and telling them to dry brush it. and that kid is gonna spend all of middle school and high school hating their hair and moping over the flat iron. they're being told right now that if they don't dry-brush their curl pattern into oblivion every morning it means they're unkempt and gross even though they naturally have the kind of ringlets that a thousand bridezillas would commit horrible murders for every june. it's happening right now it's an absolute epidemic and a tragedy every time

Just a little PSA for all our mental health (and chronic pain*) spoonies out there! A lot of doctors neglect to mention this little side effect, which means a lot of us are suffering extra from the heat without knowing why.

*Many psych meds are used to treat chronic pain as well, if you didn’t know!

​reblogging this again to add that I saw and reblogged this yesterday and thought, “what the fuck is a tractor pull?” (and I’m from NJ but I’ve lived in TN for 23 years lol) but it wasn’t the point of the video and he gave me enough context so I didn’t bother looking it up

and then today I watched the new ep of S2 of “New Guy Tries” on 2nd Try, which is about one of the newer Try Guys, Ash, a fairly newly transitioned trans guy, trying stuff he or the world thinks of as guy stuff that is new to him because he’s new to being a guy

and the theme of this ep was trucks, and he went to a tractor pull! 😂 so I got to learn what a tractor pull actually was from that!

and he said everyone was really nice and welcoming and stuff!

and Ash was not dressed like the person described in the video, nor did I notice anyone there dressed like that, but it made me half-jokingly wonder if this was the same tractor pull that the person in the video and Earl were at 😂

but in all seriousness, it added even more hopefulness and heartwarming-ness(? lol) to this!
