it's 2025 and i haven't been mentally ill about layton on main yet so today i give you this. happy anniversary, Curious Village!!!

it's a little click-around thing i made on a program called Decker, and i was very normal the entire time (lying). it's been super fun to figure out, and im teaching myself coding as i go. it's nothing fancy, but it's a little love letter to the Professor and this series. new world of steam CANNOT come soon enough.

okay but the concept of large scale space travel terrifies and compels me though cause like think about it. if you made a friend online across systems somehow and wanted to visit them but they're thousands of light years away. it's either literally impossible or you have to give up everything just to see them once. or two lovers across the stars casting holograms of each other. knowing each other’s rooms like the back of their hand even though they've never been there. knowing scars and freckles and birthmarks on skin you've never touched. machining frames for each other to control remotely. it's like being there, almost. there’s an eggshell and eternity between you. burning everything just for a first kiss. a real one. is anyone listening. we both leave everything behind to meet at a halfway point and when we wake up a hundred years have passed and everything is different but you're here and god I've missed you. we have never technically met. you're just as soft as I imagined you'd be. is this thing on. build a life with me in this strange new present. I can face it because you're here. hold my hand?
