My cats kindly "suggested" I do a sub-assembly 😅 It was quite the hunt for all the pieces, they were snatched away to all their different hiding spots. I guess they are also into 40k, it's good to share a hobby with your pets =p

I've recently played through Boltgun so I was in the mood to paint up an Ultramarine as the Player Character: Maleum Caedo =)

I found one old heavy weapons operator in my bits box, which is fine since the old heavy plasma was my fav weapon by far.

The rough sketch/idea for the next drawing: Another depiction of a plane of cardinal sin, Lust.

I was a bit stumped on what to draw next so I thought I might aswell continue with this little project.

Lust is the hardest to depict imho, since I dont want it to be cheap. Like what is Lust really? Sex is not "evil" so it must corrupt the concept. The perversion of Love and Desire? The metaphorical consumption of another only for oneselfs pleasure? And I thought man, thats way to hard, so I just made a big pile of giant vagina-mouth dickworms instead =)

I've reflavored the Video Game Tharsis as a DnD Sailing mechanic (in Tharsis you have to get to Mars and balance keeping your crew alive with preventing the ship from breaking apart)

It hits that sweet spot of not making travels too cumbersone while not glossing over traveltime completely.

It was an awesome session and worked wonderfully 💪

It took ages to make all the little tidbits tho. Plagiarizing is hard work kids!

The finished title page, it since devolved back to just a book to scribble maniacal notes into ^^ The goal of keeping things neat and oderly with places for accompanying sketches was a too lofty goal when my dm process is consinsting of going back and forth a million times to change things or just write up a thought for an adventure hook =p

I still love the notebook though, it has this extra special DM feel. My very own book of secrets no grubby player hands may touch lol

I still wanted to at least complete the title sketch, even if its rough and basic =)

Snacks, Dungeons and the restless Undead. A Match made in heaven =p

I got myself a fancy bound sketchbook at a market while on vacation. I want to turn it into a Dungeon Masters book for me, with all my notes in one piece. Maybe some sketches sprinkled in. Like some sort of self-made, self-contained adventure book to flip through.

The Title of my campaign is "Rebirth of a Godess"

My wife kindly made a tiny box to put the mini of the DnD character in and I drew on a kind of "Logo" if you will (similar to the boxes you get in the boardgame 'Gloomhaven')

So now the little present is complete! I hope my friend likes it =)

The painted Mini: Meet Nuk the halfling Monk with his crow familiar Miriam.

I used mainly contrast paints for this one, still testing them out. They worked great on the clothes and Teapot but not as great on the skin imho
