Like my dudes (gn) have you never read a story that left a mark on your soul that taught you more then years of schooling within a fic?

When I comment and then the author replies with wow u just made my day thnak you so much.

That's also an AMAZING feeling knowing that you made them the slightest bit as happy as their story did for you!

Even like the small comments when someone puts a little heart emoji like yes thank you! Comments are part of fandom if you're squealing giggling jumping for joy sobbing laughing authors don't know that unless you tell us!

Anyhoo I love commenting and I adore receving comments.

In A world that is so cruel and awful being able to spread that little bit of joy is just it can truly mean the world to someone.

I received a comment on my new fic "For What is Greif If Not Our Love With Nowhere to go," and this lovely person wrote a long comment but what stuck out the most was this "this is amazing writing, you have a real talent" I carried that with me allllll damn day I wasn't having a good day and I posted that as a sort of coping with the shit of the world and that comment it just turned my whole day around.

One More Chance: The effects of a Butterfly ~ When Bobby dies in that lab he pleads for one more chance to be with his family to not leave them broken. To his suprise he gets his chance his chance to change everything he wakes up in Minnasota in the late 2000s his first family is alive he can save them! But the smallest changes like the flap of a butterflies wings can effect things greatly so the changes that Bobby makes will bring unforeseen results. Perhaps though, some of these changes will be for the better, for change may just lead him back to his other family and pseudoson sooner than expected.

Now I now he'll never leave me - Eddie leaving for El Paso and him realizing that he is important to Eddie after their talk

Even as she runs away - Abby leaving and eventually not talking to Buck

He will still inspire me be a part of everything I do - Buddie Facetime chats and them still involving themself in the others life

I let her steal into my melancholy heart - Ali being his rebound and then breaking his heart by leaving him because she couldn't handle his job

I was the one who had it all, I was the master of my fate - Him thinking he found the one with Tommy and Tommy telling him that he wouldn't be his last

I'll never shake away the pain - The pain of everyone always leaving him behind and the scars from his childhood

I'll fool myself, she'll walk right in, and be with me for evermore ~ Buck fooling himself into thinking he isn't in love with Eddie and just wanting to be with him and Chris in the little family he gained

Perhaps I am crazy it is entirely possible but idk it just feels so Buck to me

What kind of works are accepted?

When should the works be posted?

Fighter Eddie Diaz Weekend will run from the 18th to the 21st of September 2025, with different prompts for each day (to be posted soon). Ideally, you'd post on the day of the prompt you're creating for, but we're aware real life sometimes gets in the way, so we'll accept late works up to a week after the event ends; just make sure to write what prompt you're creating for + the day it was due when you share it for classification purposes.

Is there a minimum length required for this event?

Not at all! No minimum or maximum required!

Will there be an AO3 collection?

Yes, absolutely. You can find it here. It will open a week before the event starts so you can start drafting on AO3 then if needed.

Do I have to post on AO3 or add my works to the AO3 collection?

Not at all! Not if you don't want to. That's entirely up to you. That being said, here on Tumblr, we will only be able to reblog works shared on Tumblr that have @ us or that have tagged their posts with #fightereddiediazweekend2025

Will the collection ever be closed or marked unrevealed/private?

The collection will close a week after Fighter Eddie Diaz Weekend 2025 is over, but the works will not be unrevealed/private; the works will remain visible for anyone to access
