A Tale of Two Nemeses
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
Sofrapus is a small, rogue planet nestled in the eye of a spatial rarity on the outer rim untouched by time. The anomaly that surrounds the planet shields it from outside investigation. This symbiotic relationship grants Sofrapus energy and is able to sustain life. It’s people value history while shunning outside cultures. They have learned to utilize the energy in the anomaly to power their society while maintaining a union with the nature around them. It is here that we set our story and here that we see the creation of two nemeses that will forever battle for the other’s destruction.
Part One
Settled
Mazriha sat in silence unaware of what was to come as the infant in her arms finally fell asleep. Her husband, Rennek, tinkered away at his gadgets as always when night fell. The older children were reading to settle down before bed, and all was well with the world.
Raging
The tall, slender man laid on his too tiny bed waiting for the world to change. In a society consisting of small humanoids, his tall frame was a topic for discussion wherever he went. Due to a birth defect, he was abnormally tall and slightly disfigured. This simply would not do in a society built on tradition. He was an outsider and always would be in this world. While they were a peaceful people, they were proud. Anything different was feared and jeered. And Snoke was different.
He sat tumultuously contemplating what he would do to the next person that looked at him in disgust or amusement. He never would of course, because there wasn’t anything that he could do that would make anyone see his worth isn’t linked to his appearance. It didn’t hurt to imagine though; did it?
We Bend Before We Break
Snoke was stuck in the rain trying to find somewhere that he could spend the day out of the storm. These types of storms were rare but vicious. Normally he lived off of the pity of others as all structures were built for those of a small stature. It was difficult to find a job due to not being able to utilize the resources available. He had been given a variety of items that were the remnants of what others didn’t want. His back ached from the bed seemingly made out of matchsticks and only fit a third of his body.
He had no patience today. No drive to continue here. He was tired in so many ways. In each establishment he went to, he was met with a resounding “You don’t belong here!” His mind reeled as he fell to the mud. There was never going to be anything for him on this world.
Sticks and Stones
Rennek ran quickly to work as the storm raged. Everything seemed to be going wrong this morning. He had broken the device meant to tell him that is was time to wake up last night as he was doing last minute touches to improve it. Leaving well enough alone was never his strong suit.
So, now, he rushed. It was hard to see the man that had fallen on the side of the road. He did see him though, and the only person that it could have been was the village outcast, Snoke. He was just laying there. Why? It didn’t matter; he was late! As he ran past, he yelled: “Move you big grylk!” The moment of frustration was short lived as a hand reached around Rennek’s ankle and dragged him to the ground.
It took what seemed like forever to fall. His words to Snoke burning into his mind. Then, Snoke was on him with his large frame clamping him to the muddy ground. Blow after blow struck his face and body. The snapping and cracking of bones and flesh made him sick, but there was nothing he could do. He finally began to lose consciousness, which was a relief as the pain and blows wouldn’t stop. Finally, all was black, and his last thoughts were of Mazriha and the kids. He would lose them over thoughtless words.
The Walls Come Tumbling Down
Mazriha felt dread in her heart when the town constable knocked on the door. The baby at her breast began to cry as she heard the news. She didn’t think she could breathe or understand why this had happened. Snoke was seen pummelling Rennek to death before disappearing into the storm. There was no hope or safety. There was merely rage.
She knew in that moment that nothing else mattered. She would somehow avenge her husband’s death if it was the last thing she did.
It Has Begun
Snoke scrambled away from building to building using the storm for cover until he was well out of range of town. He finally took a moment to sit and rest by a tree. As he looked down at his hands, they were still dripping in blood and the exhilaration was like nothing he had ever felt before. If he had known that it could feel like this, he would have shown his true self long ago.
The rage and pain were gone and replaced with a calm of pure bliss. He decided in that moment that he would not live in that hovel anymore. He could never go back, and anyone that stood in his way would pay the price.

Meet Evil Porg.
Evil Porg is evil.

Evil Porg was created out of a need to see something besides this…
From the moment I saw the porgs, I knew that it would be another cutesy gimmick that I would see 50 times a day for possibly forever. The reality is that I see them at least 75 times a day without any signs of slowing.
What is their purpose, and why are they everywhere? We know that they are Force sensitive with sharp teeth and a propensity for mischievousness.
There is nothing inherently wrong with porgs. I don’t hate them. They have just overrun what would have otherwise been an excellent reveal in a movie to which I’m truly looking forward. There are porg trains, porg hype, porg shirts, porg art. I just can’t get away. Porg, Porg, Porg!
So, enter Evil Porg. I’m not an artist… obviously, but wanted to portray his aggravation and well, evilness. He channels the Darkside of the Force whenever possible to meet his own needs. His home is on the island with everyone else, and he is able to shield his evilness in an attempt to do the most damage. Everywhere he goes there are more porgs, cute, little, precocious porgs.
When will it end? When will his wrath rain down and touch all he knows? Soon!
