You are the GOD of your own little universe, so start fucking acting like it! Embrace the chaos, make shit up, do whatever the fuck you want with them, they're YOUR characters! If some schmucks come along and are like "I don't get it." then FUCK EM! They can't appreciate the effort that goes into creation because they've got their heads so far up their asses trying to find deeper meanings in everything and have become blind to the possibilities!

So in transformers, the matrix of leadership is only bestowed upon those who have proven themselves "worthy" of it. And those who are worthy of it are dubbed as primes.

In Revenge Of The Fallen, Sam Witwicky "earns" the matrix after having a near death experience and is deemed worthy by the spirits(?) of the ancient primes for his devotion to resurrecting Optimus.
