UN human rights experts say that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories is a form of apartheid. Here's why:

There are around 700,000 Israelis living in hundreds of illegal Israeli settlements and outposts in the Occupied West Bank and Occupied East Jerusalem. To connect them, Israel has built a system of roads, some of them exclusively for Israeli Jews living in the Occupied West Bank.

Palestinians are banned from traveling on the segregated roads. Instead, Palestinians have to navigate through more than 600 road obstacles, including at least 188 checkpoints across the Occupied West Bank.

Israel also controls every aspect of Palestinian lives through coded IDs.

Israeli IDs are issued to Palestinian Israelis who hold Israeli passports - for those who stayed within the 1948 border areas.

Separate IDs are issued to those born in Jerusalem, and don't have Israeli passports.

Green IDs are issued to Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank and Gaza. Palestinians with a West Bank ID can only move around the Occupied West Bank, while a person with a Gaza ID cannot exit Gaza without a permit, which is difficult to obtain.

This system draws comparisons to the one in apartheid South Africa.

Since most of the biggest shipping company has stopped shipping to ISISREAL🇮🇱 in fear of 🇾🇪Houtis' warning, these so called "Guardians of the Red Sea" can look after each other.

This strike aims to shake the economy of Western governments that support occupation and genocide.
