“He did it again!”

Cordelia sighs, closing her book and looking at Sumia from across the living room.

“Did what?”

Sumia sweeps her arm out in front of her, motioning to the shattered bowl on the living room floor as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“That!”

Cordelia frowns. “He broke that bowl?”

“Yes!”

“The one that’s been teetering dangerously on the edge of the coffee table for weeks now?”

“Well-”

“The one I’ve told you like a hundred times to move so that this exact thing doesn’t happen?”

“Hey!-”

“The one that you’ve thought was ugly? That you’ve complained about since we bought it?”

Sumia puffs out her cheeks, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Cordelia stifles a laugh.

“Do you think that maybe you did it? Maybe you… ‘tripped’? And you’re just using him as a tiny escape route?”

Sumia gasps melodramatically, placing a hand on her chest. “I cannot believe that you would accuse me in such a way-”

“You literally told me yesterday that you hoped there would be an earthquake so that it would knock this bowl over and break it because it was so ugly.”

“I- well… it’s just- that has nothing to do with-!” Sumia frowns, and Cordelia can tell that she’s trying very hard not to stomp her foot. “I’m sick of you always taking the cat’s side in everything!”

Cordelia’s eyes widen for a moment, before she nearly falls off of her chair in a fit of giggles. Sumia watches from across the living room, unimpressed. After she calms down, Cordelia raises her arms out in front of her, beckoning Sumia toward her.

“Come here.”

It takes a moment, but Sumia complies, shuffling across the living room and falling onto Cordelia’s lap with a huff.

“I don’t always take the cat’s side. You know that,” she says, running her fingers through Sumia’s hair and nuzzling a bit into the crook up her neck. “The cat could never turn me against you.”

“It sure seems like he’s trying,” Sumia whines a bit, though she leans against Cordelia with a small smile.

“Well he can try all he wants,” Cordelia says, kissing Sumia’s jaw and squeezing her tighter. Sumia squeaks, laughing as she swats Cordelia away halfheartedly. “It’s not going to work.”

Sumia laughs again, dropping her head onto Cordelia’s shoulder.

“Did you break that bowl, though?”

“… Cordelia, that bowl was so ugly.”

“Is this the same store you don’t go to anymore because you said ‘I love you’ to the cashier?” Leokumi!!

“I’m not going in there.”

“Stop. We need groceries so we can eat this week, and we don’t have time for this.”

“Then leave me in the car,” Takumi says, folding his arms across his chest and looking out the window. “I’m not going in there.”

Leo sighs, climbing out of the driver’s side door and pocketing his keys. “Fine. I’ll be back. Do you need me to roll the windows down?”

“I’m not a child, Leo.”

“You could have fooled me.”

Takumi’s argument is cut short by the door slamming, and Leo stifles laughter as a strangled cry comes from behind him, muffled from inside of the vehicle.

He’s halfway to the store’s opening when it hits him. He stops, turning on his heel and marching back to the car.

He taps on the passenger window, signaling for Takumi to roll it down. After nearly three minutes of silent arguing, he finally does.

“What?”

Leo leans in through the window, resting his elbows on the window’s track.

“I just realized. Isn’t this the same store you don’t go to anymore because you called one of the cashiers ‘Mom’?”

His grin nearly stretches from ear to ear as Takumi explodes, rearing back in his seat and sputtering almost incoherently.

“W-what?! No! No, that’s not true! That’s- Nuh uh. That’s never happened before. Who would tell you something like that?!”

Leo drops his chin into the palm of his hand. “Hinoka.”

Takumi’s sputtering stops almost immediately, his face reverting back to its natural pouting state.

“Hinoka.”

Leo places his free hand on Takumi’s shoulder, though it’s shrugged off almost immediately. “Listen, there’s no shame in that-”

“Shut up.”

“The cashier in there looks just like Mikoto-”

“Stop.”

“It was bound to happen eventually-”

“You know what?!” Takumi throws his hands in the air, nearly smacking Leo in the face. “I’ll go. If it’ll shut you up, then I’ll go.”

“Ah,” Leo says, “Not to prove that you never called the cashier ‘Mom’?”

“That too.”

The door is thrown open and Takumi slides out, mumbling about how much of an inconvenience this all is and how he’s never called anyone Mom in his entire life.

Leo jogs after him, laughing as he snakes his arms around Takumi’s waist from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder as he matches their footsteps, only stepping on the back of his shoes twice.

“Have a nice day! Drive safe.”

“Thanks, love you.”

Leo freezes, plastic bag full of sandwiches in hand, and prays he said it low enough that he wasn’t heard.

The look on Takumi’s face as he turns around says otherwise.

“Listen, babe, there’s no shame in that-”

“Stop it.”

“You and the Quiznos girl would be so cute together-”

“I’ll break up with you.”

“Well if you’re going around telling other people you love them, then-”

“You know what?! Why don’t we go tell your MOM about it?! I’m sure the story would help her pass her long shift at WAL MART.”

“…”

“….”

“Let’s just never speak of this again.”

Ok but no joke I love this ship. I love it. It’s only flaw is how fuckin hard it is to write Gregor otherwise I’d have so many fics planned or written for them. SO MANY. Because this ship is so good and it’s right up my alley because I love age difference?!?! And also a difference in worldliness, because no matter what Lon'qu implies, there are very few people who are as experienced as Gregor is in just living life and I love Gregor for that. This could easily turn into me just gushing about Gregor bc I’m a mess for him my husband but I’ll try and keep it from getting to that point.

But no Gregor’s general cheer and enthusiasm, COUPLED with his experience and worldliness in comparison to Lon'qu’s sullen, shy/socially awkward demeanor and how SMALL his own world actually is: he has Regna Ferox, and his title, and Basilio and Flavia and presumably Olivia (definitely Olivia according to my headcanons) and it can be assumed that that’s all he had for a long time after Ke'ri’s death and before the Plegian and then Valmese campaigns and I feel like, after their supports, Gregor could open him up a lot!!!

(Incidentally, a lot of the reasons I like Lon'qu/Gregor are the same as why I enjoy Lon'qu/Vaike but the big difference is Gregor’s degree of experience, and his attitude (generally less bumbling and less like a big puppy; more playful and teasing much to Lon'qu’s flustering and chagrin))

Experience vs inexperience, worldliness vs self-isolation, and charisma vs shyness are all things I dig a lot and Lon'qu/Gregor hit all of them AND age difference. I want them to spar and travel together and end up kissing after Lon'qu’s inevitable, rapid internal debate of oh no am I attracted to this dingus oh GOD Im attracted to this dingus and Gregor. Being completely aware the entire time because he knows when eyes are wandering Lon'qu isn’t as subtle as he’d like to believe.

tl:dr this ship is great and im a mess for age difference and want these two to kiss B'000

I’m being completely serious their S support is absolutely adorable;;; Keatons so insistent that he can be a good husband even if he’s not rich because he’s a great hunter and how he tiptoes around the matter of proposal at first is the sweetest.

Charlotte deserves all the good things in the world and that includes a sweet qt tsuntsun loyal wolf husband and it’s really clear how endearing she finds him after he proposes. Any Charlotte ship where she decides money is important but so is love and that she can be happy without it is a good one in my books QoQ Their Velouria would be downright monstrous strength-wise but also Charlotte would be such a good mom for her emotionally??? This ship is so good. SO GOOD and I’m a mess because any ship where Subaki is allowed and enabled to admit that it’s hard for him to be perfect all the time and give up control and any ship where Niles shows some sensitivity and admitting that sometimes he cares (holding out his hands in their A support and insisting Subaki put his worries in them and Subaki doing it despite his initial trepidation? Especially compared to their C support and beginning of their B? ADORABLE) is a ship I’m super weak for bc goddamn I love my boys;;;

Yeah it’s not emotionally perfect from the get go but it’s a ship that can grow and develop and that’s always super fun to work with!!! It doesn’t help that these two are sassy and Subaki’s shown that Niles can’t get the jump on him and just all of how they work puts a lot of scenarios in my head!!! It allows some things to be taken out of the equation, and really opens things up to a more emotional perspective with how it developed over the three support levels! Despite their rocky start I think that these two could be really good for each other particularly because Subaki isn’t about to take Niles’ bullshit for a goddamn second but is still willing to open up to him, and Niles is able to be critical with Subaki while still being able to offer emotional support in his own way. Niles is precious, and socially awkward and so is Subaki and these two nerds deserve each other, and I want them to kiss and fall in love and be frustratingly beautiful husbands together who are actually able to raise their equally beautiful daughters together beCAUSE SERIOUSLY FUCK THE BABY REALMS >8(((
