Bakugou felt that in his gut, a toxic feeling bubbling inside him. Why did he have to let go of something he worked so hard for?

“And it won’t be easy. But with time you’ll realize that it’s not fair to yourself to chase after someone who isn’t looking for you.” He continued quietly, saddened eyes cast to the ground. Bakugou exhaled loudly,

“I don’t think it will ever be easy.”

“Trust me buddy, it will get easier. I thought the same thing. I was obsessed with this guy, like obsessed. I couldn’t stop thinking about him.” Kirishima explained before Bakugou stopped him,

“Wait. Him?”

Kirishima met his confused glance with a chuckle, “Yeah, him. Anyways, there was a time I thought it could work but as time went on, he found someone else and it hit me hard. I wasn’t the person he looked to anymore. In fact, we stopped hanging out for a while. But eventually our friendship rekindled. You just have to make the choice. Do you want him in your life or do you want to push him away with your feelings he isn’t reciprocating?”

Bakugou shrugged, “I don’t know yet.”

“That’s okay. You’re drunk and it just happened. You have time. Maybe give him space for now. Let him figure out his thing with Uraraka.”

“I guess.”

“You guess. Hah, you’re so stubborn even when you’re drunk.” Kirishima groaned, pushing up from the curb. He reached out a strong hand, offering it to him. Bakugou stared at him for a moment, his large figure being illuminated by the streetlights. He looked like an Angel.

He took his hand gratefully.

“I’m glad you’re here.” He admitted.

“I always will be.” Kirishima promised with a small smile. Bakugou knew he meant it.

“I don’t know why. I’m a jerk.”

A snicker, “Yeah, you are. But there’s more to you than that. It takes a special kind of person to look past your exterior.”
