Skincare / Moisturiser

Our skin changes all the time. Important factors are how much water we drink, how much we’ve slept, but also how the weather is, whether we’re stressed, etc. Good skincare is about knowing what your skin needs. As the weather is getting colder now, here are some moisturisers with good ingredients that can be used by all skin types:

Real Barrier / Cicarelief Cream.

I love to put this on in the morning. I feel that it gives my skin a healthy look throughout the entire day. It also works well under makeup and even protects your skin from it. 

WELEDA / Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream.

This is another good day cream from a Swiss natural cosmetics company. It hydrates the skin and also works well under makeup.

Mamonde / Floral Moisture Cream Hibiscus.

A good all rounder to moisturise skin with a nice smell that makes you feel refreshed.

Makeup / Foundation incl. Cushions

Whether you want that French, natural look or a Korean kinda it-can’t-get-perfect-enough skin, here’s a list of some favourite products:

innisfree / My foundation.

A good formula without the unnecessary, harsh chemicals that are otherwise found a lot in foundations. A semi-matte finish with good coverage. Comes in a few shades, unfortunately the darker ones are missing.

CHANEL / Vitalumière Glow (Cushion Foundation).

Chanel has some of my favourite products because of their finish, however they don’t use the best ingredients in terms of whether or not they are good for you and/or the environment. There is no other foundation though that gives me this kind of healthy, glowy skin. I am in love with how this makes my skin look, I just try to not use it too often to give my skin a break in between. It works well for dry skin types as well.

NARS / Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.

Good ingredients, perfect longevity and beautiful application. Medium coverage that can be built up to full and it offers a wide range of shades. A good foundation must-have for almost all skin types and occasions.

APRILSKIN / Perfect Magic Cover Fit Cushion.

Good mix of ingredients that gives good coverage, especially for oily and acne-prone skin. A beloved cushion by many Koreans, however it only comes in three relatively light shades.

Skincare / Sun Protection

All the best skincare in the world means nothing when you don’t protect your skin from the sun. Hence, skincare-obsessed Koreans are sun-protection-obsessed Koreans. Although I personally do like a bit of a tan and Vitamin D is absolutely necessary for our health, I put sun protection on my face everyday. Needless to say then, that I use different kinds of sunblock depending on how my skin feels that day and whether or not I’m going to put on foundation/make up.

innisfree / The minimum sun cream.

Perfect for sensitive skin, as it does NOT include any of the bad stuff (e.g. silicone oil, microplastic, fragrance). This is my go to sun cream when I want to give my skin a little break from heavy chemicals. Plus I feel like it gives my skin a healthy glow.

SPF 25 / PA++

eSpoir / Water Splash Sun Cream.

Best when putting on makeup. It is a moisturizing formula that spreads well.

SPF 50+ / PA +++

CareZone / Derma Repair Cica Sun Stick.

A sun stick that’s good for sensitive skin, but also when the skin feels dry. Super easy application.
