I used to have this really good app for tracking my meds called carezone, and then it got bought by Walmart and it got to have some kind of annoying features and the medication checklist became glitchy but at least it was still there and still worked. And I just got an email that Walmart is retiring the app. Fuck you then, instead of retiring it why don't you give it back to the people who used to run it well? Aaaa
Anyway I'm looking for recommendations for medication checklist/reminder apps 😭

Simple Solutions for Medication Confusion
Managing multiple medications can sometimes be confusing, especially if you have a complex treatment plan. However, there are several simple strategies you can use to stay organized, reduce confusion, and ensure you’re taking your medications correctly. Here are some solutions to help you manage your medications with confidence.
1. Use a Pill Organizer
A pill organizer is one of the easiest and most effective tools for managing medications.
Weekly Organizer: A weekly pill organizer with compartments for each day of the week helps you keep track of what you need to take each day. Some organizers have sections for morning, afternoon, and evening doses.
Travel-Friendly Options: If you’re on the go, consider a portable pill organizer that fits easily into your bag or pocket, making it easier to take your medications with you.
Color-Coded Compartments: Choose a pill organizer with color-coded compartments to help differentiate between different times of the day or different medications.
2. Create a Medication List
Keeping a comprehensive list of your medications can help you stay organized and avoid confusion.
Include All Medications: Your list should include all prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements.
Detail Dosage and Timing: For each medication, note the name, dosage, how often you take it, and any special instructions (e.g., take with food).
Keep It Updated: Regularly update your list with any changes, such as new medications, dosage adjustments, or discontinued drugs.
Share the List: Provide a copy of your medication list to your healthcare provider and pharmacist, and keep a copy in your wallet or phone for easy access.
3. Set Medication Reminders
Reminders can help ensure you take your medications at the right times, reducing the risk of missed doses or double-dosing.
Smartphone Alarms: Set alarms on your phone for each medication dose. Label the alarms with the medication name and dosage.
Medication Management Apps: Use an app like MediSafe, MyTherapy, or CareZone, which can send reminders, track your doses, and help you in Medication Management Salem.
Smart Speakers: Devices like Amazon Echo or Google Home can be programmed to remind you to take your medications at specific times.
4. Label Medications Clearly
Clear labeling can help you quickly identify each medication and reduce the risk of confusion.
Use Large, Clear Labels: Ensure each medication bottle has a label with large, easy-to-read text. You can add your own labels if necessary.
Color-Coded Stickers: Apply color-coded stickers to different medication bottles to differentiate between morning, afternoon, and evening doses or to group similar medications.
Highlight Important Information: Use a highlighter to mark important instructions on the label, such as “Take with food” or “Store in the refrigerator.”
5. Organize Medications in a Specific Location
Keeping all your medications in one designated spot can help you stay organized and avoid misplacing them.
Choose a Central Location: Pick a spot that’s easy to access, such as a kitchen counter, a bedside table, or a bathroom cabinet.
Use a Tray or Basket: Store your medications on a tray or in a basket to keep them together and prevent them from getting scattered.
Avoid the Bathroom: The humidity in bathrooms can affect some medications, so store them in a dry area like a kitchen cabinet or bedroom drawer.
6. Simplify Your Medication Routine
Simplifying your medication routine can make it easier to remember and follow.
Streamline Dosing Times: Work with your healthcare provider to see if you can take multiple medications at the same time of day, rather than spreading them out. This can reduce the number of times you need to remember to take your meds.
Ask About Combination Pills: If you’re taking multiple medications for the same condition, ask your doctor if there’s a combination pill that can reduce the number of pills you need to take each day.
Set a Daily Routine: Incorporate taking your medications into your daily routine, such as taking them with meals or when you brush your teeth, to create a habit.
7. Involve Family or Friends
If you’re struggling in medication management Salem, consider involving a trusted family member or friend.
Ask for Help: They can help you set up your pill organizer, create a medication list, or remind you to take your medications.
Use a Shared App: Some medication management apps allow you to share your medication schedule with a family member or friend so they can help you stay on track.
Communicate Changes: Keep them informed about any changes to your medication regimen so they can provide accurate support.
8. Consult Your Pharmacist
Your pharmacist is a valuable resource for managing medication confusion.
Ask About Medications: If you’re confused about how to take a medication, ask your pharmacist for clarification. They can explain the correct dosage, timing, and any special instructions.
Review Your Medications: Schedule a medication review with your pharmacist to go over all your prescriptions, check for potential interactions, and ensure you’re taking them correctly.
Get Medication Packaging Advice: Your pharmacist may be able to provide special packaging, such as blister packs, that pre-sort your medications by day and time, making it easier to manage multiple prescriptions.
9. Keep Emergency Information Handy
Having quick access to your medication information can help in case of an emergency.
Carry a Medication List: Keep an up-to-date medication list in your wallet, purse, or phone. This is useful if you need to visit a new healthcare provider or in case of an emergency.
Use a Medical Alert ID: If you take critical medications, consider wearing a medical alert bracelet or carrying a medical ID card that lists your medications and any important health information.
Inform Close Contacts: Make sure a trusted family member or friend knows where you store your medications and has access to your medication list in case they need to assist you.
10. Regularly Review Your Medications with Your Doctor
Regular check-ins with your healthcare provider can help prevent confusion and ensure your medications are still appropriate.
Schedule Regular Reviews: During your appointments, review all your current medications with your doctor. Discuss whether each medication is still necessary, if there are any potential interactions, or if the dosage needs to be adjusted.
Discuss Simplification: Ask your doctor if there are ways to simplify your medication regimen, such as reducing the number of medications or changing the timing of doses.
Report Any Issues: If you’re experiencing side effects, confusion, or difficulty managing your medications, bring it up with your doctor. They can provide guidance and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
Conclusion
Medication confusion can be a common issue, but with a few simple strategies, you can manage your medications more effectively. Using a pill organizer, creating a medication list, setting reminders, labeling your medications clearly, and involving your pharmacist or family members can all help reduce confusion and ensure you’re taking your medications correctly. Regular communication with your healthcare provider is also key to staying on top of your treatment plan and making adjustments as needed.

Skincare / Sun Protection
All the best skincare in the world means nothing when you don’t protect your skin from the sun. Hence, skincare-obsessed Koreans are sun-protection-obsessed Koreans. Although I personally do like a bit of a tan and Vitamin D is absolutely necessary for our health, I put sun protection on my face everyday. Needless to say then, that I use different kinds of sunblock depending on how my skin feels that day and whether or not I’m going to put on foundation/make up.
Tumblr media
innisfree / The minimum sun cream.
Perfect for sensitive skin, as it does NOT include any of the bad stuff (e.g. silicone oil, microplastic, fragrance). This is my go to sun cream when I want to give my skin a little break from heavy chemicals. Plus I feel like it gives my skin a healthy glow.
SPF 25 / PA++
Tumblr media
eSpoir / Water Splash Sun Cream.
Best when putting on makeup. It is a moisturizing formula that spreads well.
SPF 50+ / PA +++
Tumblr media
CareZone / Derma Repair Cica Sun Stick.
A sun stick that’s good for sensitive skin, but also when the skin feels dry. Super easy application.
SPF 47 / PA+++
