Another fanart for Lunar Eternal Blue, Jean! She is another one of my favorite characters. Her story arc is interesting and I love the dark complexion representation. This is especially meaningful in a JRPG, where representation is few and far between. This was also really interesting to draw. Mainly because of the hands lol.

I just wanna say that your use of color is so pretty, it reminds me a lot of splash art /pos and idk why but the way you draw joints is actually really cool! They look real without hyperrealism and stylized without the pure round/pointed dichotomy:)

White Knight Leo from one of my favorite games of all time, Lunar Eternal Blue! I absolutely LOVE this classic JRPG series and I was so happy that they decided to remaster it. I’m enjoying playing through it again, so I decided to draw some fanart of one of my favorite characters from the game. There’s more fanart coming too!

I’ve been feeling a bit down and uninspired lately. The world just feels like it’s falling apart and I’m falling apart with it. But I found a nice reference picture and decided to draw something a bit opposite of my depression. Also wanted to experiment with lighting a bit. It’s supposed to be a fairy waking up at sunrise, happy to start her day. Very, very opposite lol.

I really been feeling some kinda way. I won’t elaborate too much, but I feel like the world is always expecting too much from Black women. And I feel like, at this point, we need to ignore the expectations and just care for ourselves. The quote from the song is actually really fitting for how I feel and for the vibe of the picture, though I actually drew the picture and the song was an afterthought. Like “oh, this picture actually fits that one part of that song!” kinda thing lol.

For the process, I didn’t use any lineart and wanted to practice a more painted style. I think I’m getting the hang of it! You can tell though that I got impatient with the hands.

Relaxing with a good game after a long day is a great feeling.

I wanted to draw a full scene with a background and such. It was tough but I think I did ok!

Rock on! My favorite genre of music is rock. I used to get picked on a lot because I prefer rock over rap/hip-hop, but folks are more accepting nowadays I think.

I relate to this picture a lot. I’m pretty awkward and kinda shy about sexy things. But sometimes you gotta try even though you’re feeling shy!

This time I figured I’d include my lineart as well as the finished product, because I really liked my lineart!
