Happy International Women's Day! This was a dream freelance gig for me since I loved the 90s X-MEN cartoon growing up!!! What a blast to draw so many powerful women 💖💖💖😳 big thanks to Marvel for the opportunity!
I created this about a decade ago to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dragon Ball for a print show. Loved the series as a really young child overseas in Japan, and then got to see it dubbed in the US a few yrs later after we moved. RIP Akira Toriyama. 💔
Happy Lunar New Year! This is the 12th and final year of my 12-year long zodiac project to see how my art style changed over the years (I don't think it did much?!) but wow what a year to go out on. Happy Year of the Dragon, and hope you all have a prosperous one!
Maybe I'll start up a new set next year?
Chinese New Year is actually a 12 year long personal project for me, where I create a new illustration of the zodiac animal each year, and see how my illustration style has progressed. These go from oldest to newest. So 6 down, 6 more to go!
My homework for Kat Tsai's Color and Light class. Week 2:Taking a scene from my home, lighting it for midday, basic light. Week3: take that same scene and light it in three different ways based on mood and atmosphere. Getting back to fundamentals but also learning a lot along the way (and re-learning in some ways) 💖
Happy New Year! I try to look over all the drawing I've done outside of my job at the end of the year because without fail, every time, my brain tells me I didn't do anything. So here's this year's review for me to say hey, yes you did. Here's hoping I find new employment in the new year ❤️
This year's illustrated holiday postcard to friends and family! It's bananas that this is the 20th year in a row I've continued this tradition! 🎄⛄️📬 also my friends joked that I made a Dune themed card and that the Spice must flow.
These two originals are still available at Gallery Nucleus! If there's someone in your life that likes witchy stuff, consider snagging one as a holiday gift!
These two original paintings are up for sale at Gallery Nucleus! You can grab one for yourself or else art makes a great gift :)
Loosely was thinking of Hades and Persephone but this is ...Night and Flower. Night was sad he never got to see blossoms bloom as he's out and about during late, dark hours, so Flower, being a thoughtful lad, gives Night some evening-blooming Jasmine. Problem solved, with a most thankful Night.
