my “golden boy” is actually a talented driver who loves his team and would do anything to maximise the weekend FOR the team and not only for himself, so i actually don’t care if carlos sainz’s fans of all people are mad at him and i’m not mad at them, because i know he is in the right, especially about the things he said after the gp
@ anon who called me a hypocrite 😁

Stan fights over which driver is being unfairly favored are the most boring thing about F1, change my mind
I won’t, I don’t like the shit being said and can’t get why it affects people so much and I will always get bitter when there are thousands of people arguing and commenting on drivers post based on their interpretation of the race, when who are we to talk at all. Fred went and basically said Charles was wrong about the damage to his wing affecting his race, and the statements about the agreed strategy show Carlos’ fault in his racing. I think it’s so petty to drag someone’s name through the mud for comments they made at the end of a race when those drivers are the twenty people I think have a right to say whatever they feel like after the race. I also don’t believe teams NEED to favor the home race driver when they’re not qualifying better or matching pace with their other driver. It should be about who is in a better position and that’s what they do for the most part.
The only reason I’m even talking about it is because fans act like these grown men can’t defend themselves within their own team and speak their mind. I’ve definitely seen “Ferrari fans” say much worse things about both drivers than the stuff they’re complaining about. I hope it’s not as much of a big deal within Ferrari as it is with the fans for the sake of Ferrari and their drivers’ seasons and how their strategies pan out in the remaining races.
When I type out my posts I guess I definitely have an argumentative stand point because I do favor one driver over the other. But the argument about which driver is receiving certain things others aren’t is a waste of time because there’s an entire side of f1 that people don’t see within teams and people fill that with fan based bias. Ferrari is the least of my concern when it comes to driver bias within teams lol.

Your opinions are complete and utter nonsense.
So it’s just fake news that Carlos is still unsigned for next season, made it difficult for Ferrari to follow through with strategies, didn’t race a strategy that helped in the long run, and is underperforming compared to Charles? Okay I’ll believe it when I see it. As for my opinions on the two drivers, I really couldn’t give two shits about their personality, I will never know what they are like in their free time or if they’re good or bad people, but I see which one is more consistent and promising and it’s Charles and his skill to work the car to the limits, not Carlos who lowers the limit of the already under-paced car.
Idk Carlos fans seem to not even watch the races before they choose who is doing the better racing or who to say is having an attitude in a sport that has TWENTY DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALL FIGHTING EACH OTHER at the end of the day.
And my opinions on the matter are based off of maximizing Ferrari points (because I believe moving FORWARD and not BACKWARD is what we call progress) right now, Carlos IS the one making it difficult. So see your way out of my asks.
I stand by Charles having some of the most effective racing skills thank you very much and he’s right that Carlos was acting desperate at times he shouldn’t have been.

I wonder what excuses Sainz fans will come up with now that it is confirmed that Sainz didn’t respect the agreement 💀

This is exactly what I’m talking about. I’m sorry, the fact that I’m just barely starting to study mechanical engineering and can grasp the idea that tire degradation is heavily affected by how the car is driven compared to a seasoned 28 or something year old driver who does this for a living and has engineers talking into his ear about stats and what to do to improve them cannot follow those orders for his own good, shows a lot. It shows why he is struggling to find a team next year and I will be surprised if he gets a seat in a competitive team because they know they can’t waste one of their seats to a reckless driver like Carlos. Charles is smart, he understands the car and what to do to maintain throughout the race and listens to those who know more about it than him. So yes, I will stand by Charles and be annoyed with him that his teammate is currently ruining his chances at more points all because it’s a home race and “he deserves it”

Some great insights from Zach Brown (not to be confused with McLaren's Zac Brown) on the importance of tyre management and the strategy Ferrari had planned for the first stint at the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix...

And I also keep seeing people agree that both Charles and Carlos have made similar digs in press conferences, team radios, and on the track towards each other. But then they go and say I just wish Charles would have given Carlos some leeway knowing it was his last home race with Ferrari. Carlos is not a bad driver just a bad team player, Charles on the other hand obviously is a driver first but holds a very high respect level for Ferrari and wants Ferrari to succeed almost just as much as he does himself. The whole home race advantage is FULL BULLSH*T because Charles was gaining on Carlos like there was no tomorrow and in the last ten laps he closed the gap to Russell. If that was ten laps earlier in the race he would’ve gotten a better position, kept his spot in the drivers championship, and got more points for Ferrari whereas Carlos was simply out of pace. Not to his own fault it was definitely tire strategy but still. He had every right to be the one in the front fighting and being upset over the beginning of the race where he could’ve made up more time on the leaders but couldn’t because Carlos broke team strategy.

In my opinion Charles’ comments about the race were fine. Every other driver has made comments to that extent directly after a race without reviewing everything with their team. And honestly I agree, Carlos is the one going against the teams agreed strategy. However, the dig at Carlos’ career point is what seems to upset people the most. But Carlos is proving it right with how he responds to teams decisions. I understand having one foot out the door is hard but when it comes to the constructors championship they need all the help they can get with mclaren looking so good right now and Charles just had the better race, unfortunately it was Carlos’ home race.
The whole Monaco vs. Spain argument also pisses me off. Yes Carlos was holding a singular McLaren off so that Charles could save tires more but other than that, it was very much a qualifying race after the first lap mayhem. And obviously Monaco is not handing out overtakes to anyone at a slim price. Carlos didn’t magically gift Charles’ Monaco win out of his own ass like some of Carlos’ fans make it seem like. Idk it’s the hard work and their own management strategy that gets them where they are on the board and Charles shows time and time again he has better tire management (one of the best on the grid may I add) that allows him to be faster and overtake Carlos even in scenarios that I’m sure we all wish Carlos to have a good outcome in. Carlos has good strategy sometimes and can sometimes get a better outcome than would be from the teams strategy but it seems like when the team for once does something to benefit Ferrari as a whole (which is what they need right now) he goes rogue.
Charles is right, Carlos tried to do something spectacular and did it against the wrong car. A home race does not warrant reckless driving and ruining your own strategy by going fast everywhere. They just do not have the pace to be acting like this right now.
I also wish people wouldn’t go online and actually tear Charles apart especially when he had a good race in the car he’s stuck with. Some of the comments are outright ridiculous especially when your driver HAS shown disrespect that apparently we’re going to just forget since he has a right for revenge. To me, at this point I think both Carlos and Ferrari will benefit from him leaving.

I thought I missed most of the race when I woke up and now I’m just watching all the first lap chaos like Wtaf. The SIGH OF RELIEF when I ran here while watching the live to see if Charles was fine
PLEASE MONACO LOVE HIM BACK

Okay so apparently that’s just how all roulette tables are set up. Just destined to be by each other but on opposite teams😔😔 poor things
I can’t with Charles just hard launching him and max with those shoes. Like it’s so out of pocket to put your rivals number there wtf
I get it’s like roulette and so the 33 or 16 wins but like he’s just so down bad

I get he wants to prove himself and have a revenge arc or whatever but when he is ahead he expects Charles to not be able to race and to be a team player and defend. Like he genuinely just holds himself a little bit too high for my liking and I didn’t want to start hating on him but he keeps making horrible comments and Charles just smiles and acts friendly. I know that man can’t wait for 2025. Carlos’ comment about how it clearly cost both of them two spaces bro. If he had stopped defending Carlos than Charles would’ve been the only one to lose two spots. Who tf would do that for a crappy teammate. And guess who returned to the top behind all three cars that had unreachable paces today👀 on tires he had complained about VERY EARLY on
I'm sorry but this pissed me off so much, the fact he is blaming charles for defending when himself attacked instead of focusing on russell.. does he really believe charles should just let him pass

On another note, I think Charles will obviously handle stress while driving with Lewis but that man wants to win and regardless of who’s on the track he will continue to push his car to the limit.
I hope this new era means a car that is able to take Charles and Lewis’ skill and speed. I want them to do well with Ferrari so bad.

Guys, I was told about the Lewis to Ferrari contract in my Spanish 3 class by the ONLY MF on campus that I know who also watches F1. Thrown for a loop. Like I saw the rumors and thought nah, and then he dropped the bomb and the whole class listened to us rant for the next ten minutes. IMO, Carlos will most likely go to merc or redbull, maybe sauber? I mean with audi coming in I think it’s their game plan to sign some drivers during 2025 while so many drivers are out of contract. I do think that Carlos deserves a seat on a good team because he is a very good strategist and has a lot of skills, but I do agree with Ferrari not signing him through an extension.
I’m really looking forward to seeing Lewis and Charles on team Ferrari together. For Charles’ sake, I hope that Lewis on the move means that he believes Ferrari will be more competitive than merc against Red Bull. Hopefully we get some real competition this season and the next.
On another note, ALBON DESERVES TO MOVE UP. I need him out of the mid field teams and somewhere where he can win or at least make a run for his money because he deserves a good car😩😩 I can see him heading to merc or even back to redbull after Checos contract is up. However, that brings Danny into the conversation and I don’t want to think about his pre retirement career at all.
