The first episode 1 update is out and adds over 82k words with code to the game. This is just the start of the first night, but I hope to release a lot more in August or September (once work calms down and I'll actually have something resembling free time).

I'm not sure where to start on why it's been so long, but I want to be open and honest about why I just disappeared again.

I've been struggling with my anhedonia for a while and it's been making it hard for me to enjoy writing. For those who don't know, anhedonia is, to heavily paraphrase, the loss of enjoyment in activities one once enjoyed. It sucks. A lot.

HOWEVER, I've recently been getting back into writing and enjoying the process, so this game isn't dead, just progressing very slowly.

I will probably delete this later, but I just wanted to talk about this and get it off my chest. I miss this community and hope I can share progress updates soon.

Absolutely not. They'll at least be polite about the rejection though.

Flight. They skeedadle out of danger like a bat outta hell.

They notice their impeccable makeup. They take lots of time on it and make it themself. Other people notice the veil lol. If they're lucky enough to see their face they would notice Vex's eyes first. They're black, but occasionally you can see glints of white flickering in them.

Not sure if this is happening just for me, but I'm getting an error when the witch hands over the potion. After choosing how to accept the potion the error is "Error: cannot find a closing tag for macro <<if>>"

Game Update 📢

I posted a little update. It's not much but it contains new plot points and part of Chapter Two. I appreciate everyone's patience as I try to find time to work on this game. I plan on posting updates in small chunks as I finish them instead of bigger, more intimidating updates.

Hi! I'm still alive! 👋

I know it's been a while since my last post, but I'm just stopping by to promise that I'm still trying to write when I can. Unfortunately, between working full-time and taking the last of my classes for my degree that time equals to... not much.

However! Chapter Two is 12,500 words in and all of my coding that was lost is redone and all the rewritten parts for the Prologue and Chapter One are in the game now, so I was at least able to recover the progress I lost.

I promise that once my classes are done I will be able to put more time into this project and I'm sorry for taking so long. 😟

All of the work I did on re-coding the game is gone. No idea where. No idea why. I finally had a free moment and the proper headspace to work on it again and am greeted by my work being gone.

Hello! What would the RO’s if they found mc just passed out. Dead to the world sleep on the floor. What’s the move👀

Nothing like a good floor nap, am I right?

Evie - Pokes MC just enough to make sure that they're alive first lol. Lets them continue their ill-placed nap but checks in frequently.

Ignis - Sits nearby to make sure nobody disturbs them until they wake up. Takes it more seriously than necessary. Might give them a blanket if he's feeling generous.

Vex - Gives them a pillow and a blanket and lets them continue to nap in peace. But MC does get a gentle lecture later on sleeping in the middle of the floor.

Azzy - Builds a little nap nest with blankets for MC. Probably ends up taking a floor nap too lol. A floor nap champion.

Mal - Lifts MC and carries them to bed. MC wakes in their room later none the wiser and very confused probably. Denies any wrongdoing when asked. Not from embarrassment, she just thinks it's funny.

Viik - Brings a pillow and blanket for MC and chills and reads nearby so nobody accidentally steps on them. If anyone asks why MC is asleep on the floor he just shrugs and goes back to his book.
