I've been playing Secret of the Divine Jewel for the first time and have started looking back at my old sprite practices for it...... Hm.. I do still want to do something with them at some point, but I'm not sure what. I'm proud of them, though!

An art style experiment I did yesterday! ( ´ ꒳ ` ) Only took me, I think 5-7 hours all together?

I wanted to try drawing some more realism-leaning just as a test, since the last time I did it, it was october of last year! LMAO Why not try again? This time with both Kouko and Inuyasha!

The hardest part of this ironically wasn't the anatomy, since when I'm not drawing these two, I enjoy drawing more realistic anatomy-wise, but the most difficult part was Inuyasha's hair, which I'm still not entirely happy with LMAO White hair is stupidly difficult to shade and draw properly, what a nightmare.

Otherwise, I'm fairly happy with how this came out! I used a ton of references and layered an ungodly amount (Over 120 layers! Hooph!) But it didn't come out half bad! (๑˘︶˘๑) Even if I'll probably flip flop on how much I like it for a while lol I usually do that with more detailed pieces, though, so that's normal. No matter how much I don't like it in the future, it was at least some really valuable practice, and practice makes perfect! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ So it gets posted nonetheless!

I saw the horse head tutorial on DA and immediately knew what had to be done. (๑˘︶˘๑)

I wanted to use this chance to practice drawing some Aiko! Horses have always been really hard for me, but they're slowly getting easier and easier! I guess the best way to practice drawing animals is to give your character one! lol

are there any canon x canon ships you like or is it just oc x canon?

I do like some canon x canon ships, rest assured!! LMAO But a lot of them aren't the standard canon ones-

My #1 canon x canon ship is ABSOLUTELY InuSan. If it's not him and Kouko, it's definitely gonna be him and Sango! I actually like any combination of those three put together, InuSan, InuKou, or SanKou I won't lie, but if we're just talking about canon x canon, it's gotta be them!

I'm also pretty fond of MichiKag and KagSan! MirSan isn't really too high up on my list, surprisingly, I'm not super fond of them as a pair at all lol MirKag is cute, but I definitely prefer other Kagome ships!

I'm not big on many Sesshomaru ships, but SessKagu is an obvious top one in that category! And Sesskik is interesting and has some of the most beautiful art I've seen in this fandom! SessSan is also interesting, but I haven't seen enough of it to have a solid opinion on it. ( ´ ꒳ ` )

I'm pretty open minded to most anything except SessRin. The fact that was even thought of for the sequel is wild, I'm glad it's not really canon.

💚Resting under the Wisteria - AKA, Wisteria date 2: Electric Boogaloo🪻

Some wisteria and fireflies! I was looking back at old art, and came across my old "Wisteria Date" piece! It made me so dang nostalgic to look at, even if it's only been a year, so I figured why not do something a little similar? (๑˘︶˘๑) Another wisteria date, mayhaps? It is one of Kouko's symbols after all!

I actually referenced this pose off some Inukag cosplayers I saw! Though, it was really hard to make Kouko look her height with the perspective, even after a lot of adjustments so I'm not sure if she does- LMAO Either way, though I think it turned out so beautiful! I'm so proud of this piece, and they look so cozy! It's not often Kouko gets to be the one in this position with her height and demeanor, so you can tell she's reveling in it- (๑˘︶˘๑) Rightfully so. Sometimes it's nice to have your boyfriend be the pillow LMAO

I was going to draw Kouko and her dads too, but unfortunately life got super complicated because there are currently monster bugs that have invaded my house lol So I could only do these two! I don't mind, though, they're really adorable. ( ´ ꒳ ` )

Kurohyo LOVES her dad, even if she never looks too eager, that doesn't mean that she isn't! That's honestly just her face-

She clings to him regularly, almost more than her mom (Being too high up can make her uneasy sometimes lol) She really thinks he's one of the coolest people in the world.

Some people still get shocked when I say Kouko's bisexual, and I've never actually done a pride post on here before, so I guess it's time to change that! (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ*: ･ﾟ

Fun fact: I actually don't have a headcanon for what Inuyasha's sexuality is, if I'm being honest! Which might be shocking with how he's one of the main focuses of my story, but I just don't think he'd care too much to label it at all even if he did know the terms for it lol I think he's just the type to like who he likes, even with all the complexity that his love life has LMAO

So whether this is him celebrating his bi pride, or just supporting his girlfriend, he's here too. (๑˘︶˘๑) Because I think they're cute and I like drawing them together, and who's gonna stop me LMAO

I actually had little sketches of chibi Sesshomaru, Sango, Toshi, and Kurenai at the top with their flags originally too, but I cut those out for time lol Maybe I'll finish those up in the future before the month is over. ( = ⩊ = )

A simple little character sheet (Not really a reference) that I just made as an excuse to doodle out some Kouko expressions and gush about her design and character a little bit! I've been rewatching the anime lately, and it's just got me wanting to dig into her character and design more outside of just her toyhouse lol ( ´ ꒳ ` ) I'm really proud of how distinct she looks.

As cluttered as it is, I think it turned out really cute! The pink accents definitely made it even cuter! Pink/Blue is an underrated combo for me lol

I have a couple things in the work for the next few days, so stay tuned for that! I'm a bit late on my father's day piece, but to be fair, Kouko has two dads, so it gives me a bit more of a workload for that day in particular LMAO ( = ⩊ = ') I may be a bit late on that one!

🍒 WARNING: Boobs 🍒

Nothing inherently sexual, overall, just some aftercare lovings with early 30s Inuyasha and Kouko! They're both naked, but it's nothing graphic and there's no genitalia on screen! The most NSFW parts are breasts and bush LMAO

Being completely honest, this was halfway just an excuse to draw some anatomy practice with Kouko! I just think she's so beautiful and healed in this era, it's just nice to draw it out in more detail. (*¯︶¯*) Her body type's so fun to draw, and the shading makes it look so soft. Overall, I loved making this piece! It was good skin shading practice too!

The other half, was because I just love aftercare as a prompt for soft and intimate moments between pairings. Ironic that I'd draw aftercare before I've ever actually drawn the main action, but I think it's a really good moment to show between characters! This is probably after they've washed up a bit and are taking a moment to just bask in the time together after a lot of tussling LMAO Nothing too deep this time around, but one day I'll draw a snugglier or more emotional aftermath between them. ( ´ ꒳ ` ) For now, they're just recuperating and admiring one another. It's good to take a moment to ground yourself and come down from it all together after time spent like that.
