One-hundred and ninety-six dollars...

...is what the lady at Walgreens told me when I asked her how much my birth-control prescription was without insurance coverage. Which-by the way-I lost coverage under my dad last week for my birthday. (Happy sickness to me!) I then called TriCare (my old provider) to see how much it would be to get on the “Young Adult” plan. It would be about $230 a month.

THIS is why people go without coverage.

THIS is why people have unplanned pregnancies.

And yet we have an incompetent president who could care less about these two things.

Pulling funding from organizations like Planned Parenthood, who really do work for prevention, is not only ridiculous but its contributing more to the problem of an issue that he feels strongly about; abortions. How do you expect to stop abortions if we, regular people, can’t even pay for PREVENTION!

So I guess I am on the hunt for some health insurance in Florida...any thoughts?

Birthday Smirthday...

My Birthday is tomorrow and this is the least excited I have ever been about this day in my history of life.

I moved to Tallahassee and have no friends.

My family relocated to Colorado and are also dealing with legal drama

My boyfriend is busy prepping for finals and can only spare the evening fore me (which to be clear, I am not mad at him I understand, I am just mad at life)

Not to mention I have little to no money to spend on myself

Also I am turning a boring number.....23..... What’s so cool about 23 when you are practically alone in a new city.

Honestly I am just being dramatic, which is why I crossed out my rant. But I left it available for you (whoever is reading this...although it is probably just future Karrina...hiiiii) to read and understand. Understand what you ask? Understand that we all have feelings and we all have negative thoughts and although it is perfectly normal to have these thoughts we cannot let them consume us. This is why I have countered my above complaints with positive thoughts below.

Juan’s friends are my friends and they are awesome-my roommates are my friends too.

My family is hanging in there despite the circumstances

I know that Juan (the BF) will do something cute for me that will make me have less sads.

And I have an interview tomorrow morning (and I had one today) so hopefully my financial dry spell will end soon.

To me...23 is still lame when I can’t spend it around the people that I really want to spend it with so I can’t argue with that but...

Sometimes you need to vent and get all the crazy feelings and sads off of your chest so you don’t implode into a darker place or explode onto the ones around you who love you.

I’ve been feeling so many feelings lately. So, I’ve been writing (mostly thinking about writing). I’ve been gaming (Persona 5 is lit). And I’ve been living; really trying to find more ways to take my mind off of the circumstances that are trying to crushcrushcrush my spirits. But when I have one of those white girl “I just can’t” moments, I look to music and man I just love throwback Paramore.
