One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley) (Haley x Female Farmer)
Epilogue
🌻 ~ One Year Later ~🌻
After living here in Pelican Town for over two years, I'm no stranger to this place anymore. I know all the ins and outs of how things roll here, and everyone knows who I am and what I'm like at this point, especially my wife, Haley. She knows me better than I know myself sometimes. She still surprises me sometimes like when she wakes up before me and waters all my plants, or feeds all of my animals for me. That Haley is not the same one I met two years ago, but to everyone's surprise, it sure is. Emily constantly wonders what I did to her or what kind of spell I put her under, but Haley has come to this conclusion on her own.
"Danny, darling, can you pick up some flour from Pierre's when you head over for your seeds?" Haley sings as she is bent over in the fridge, looking for a snack.
"Flour? Why flour? Do we not have enough? Why can't I just make it for you?" I fire out, all in one breath. Haley turns from the fridge, mid bite into a blueberry tart. She just stands there with her finger in the air telling me to wait, as she chews. I raise my eyebrow as I patiently wait for my answer.
"Cake," she mumbles as she chews.
"Cake?" I question.
"Yes."
"Why cake?"
Haley finally finishes her blueberry tart and takes a seat over on the couch, patting the cushion next to her to get me to sit. Without hesitation, I dash over to the couch and jump over the back, landing butt first on the cushion next to Haley. She takes one of my hands and starts tracing the lines on my palms, giving me goosebumps.
"Do you remember that day back at the Saloon? The day everyone was dancing and everything?" Haley begins.
"Haley, that happens often there. I think we've done that at least five times at the Saloon. You're gonna have to be a bit more specific," I reply, playing with a strand of her beautiful, golden hair.
"It was the first one you went to. The one where I cut in right at the end?"
"Oh. Yeah. I remember that. Why do you ask?"
"Well, just before I took over, you were dancing with Penny-"
"Oh my gosh. Haley are you JEALOUS? Over something from two years ago?!" I gasp teasingly. She gives me a playful smack on my hand but goes back to tracing my hand.
"No, I'm not jealous. It's just that...I remember what she was talking about and it has been bothering me ever since. I know, I know, it's been a long time since then but I finally have the perfect idea!" a small grin appears across her face as she recalls her plan.
"Love, you're gonna have to be more specific. A plan for what? What do you remember?"
"Penny was talking about her school books to you just as I walked up. She mentioned how they were in bad condition and falling apart in their hands. When I overheard that, it made me...upset. We don't have a school here in Pelican Town and Penny really took the young kids under her wing. These kids are getting a fantastic education thanks to her, but she deserves to have proper materials to work with. So I propose a Cake Walk! We just have to save up some money as a community and put it towards getting her new textbooks to work with!" Haley drops my hands and claps her hands together excitedly. She hops off the couch, pulling me up with her and starts tugging me around the edge of our rug.
"We just have to set up a really big mat with numbered squares on it and have the participants walk around to each of the squares. We also have to get a few people to bake cakes to enter as the prizes. That's why I was hoping to get flour right away so I can make my famous Pink Cake. Don't worry, I'm making you bring a chocolate cake so you can't get out of this one," she turns to accusingly wag her finger at me but proceeds to ramble on of her plan.
"Then whichever numbered square they land on when I blow a whistle..." Haley stops in her tracks, putting her hand out to stop me from walking any farther as well. "That's the numbered cake they receive!"
"Oh so does that mean I get your cake now then? Cause there are no numbers right now and I'm closest to you so..." I snake my arm around her waist, and slowly move my hand down to her butt. I wrap my other arm around her to grab a double handful, squeezing tightly with both hands.
"Well you kind of helped yourself there, no?" She teases.
"I couldn't help it," I guide her back down to the couch where she decides to sprawl out, stomach down, across the couch and me. I inch my fingers up the back of her shirt and start tracing my fingers along her spine.
"You realize I'm never going to get up now?" She hums.
"You are going to have to if you want to get this Cake Walk up and running," I respond as I unclip her bra- with one hand- so I have better access around her back.
"Now I'm really never going to leave."
"That's too bad because I have to. Up ya get," I immediately retract my hand and give her a couple light smacks on the butt. She whines and groans but reluctantly gets up.
"Remember when you asked me to get flour?" I tap my finger to her forehead. "I have to go before Pierre closes or else I'll be late getting my seeds as well. I want to plant them as soon as possible." I bend down to kiss her before heading out.
"I'll have dinner ready when you're back. I'm CRAVING an omelet right now. I also best start making the Cake Walk mat too so it's ready. I guess I also should call around to see if anyone wants to bake a cake to have as a prize too." Her face starts to drop as she realizes how much work she has cut out for herself.
I know she will feel accomplished as soon as she has it all established though. It will be totally worth it once she sees the look on Penny's face. I'm so proud of her for coming up with this plan and I know she will blow it out of the water.
"Anything else you may need before I head out?" I ask to make sure.
"I think I'm all set. Thank you though. See you soon!" She smiles at me as she makes her way to the kitchen as I walk out the door.
🌻 🌻 🌻
In two days time, Haley's Cake Walk was all set into motion. She had the mat with squares numbered up to 8 on it, she had participants, and she had 8 cakes. Well... soon to be 8. Haley and I are just about finished making ours. We wanted them to be nice and fresh for the winners today.
"Mine is done! Take yours from the oven and then come running once you've finished icing it. I have to make sure everything is set up," Haley had just finished placing the last little garnish on top of her Pink Cake. Me, on the other hand, is severely slacking on the cake making.
"I'll go as fast as I can. It won't look pretty though," I sigh as I start getting the icing set up.
"It's a good thing you're pretty. It makes up for the way the cake will look," Haley giggles as she places a lid on the cake tray. I roll my eyes her way but feel my cheeks heat up as I blush.
I begin icing the cake, trying to take my time to make it look neat, but I still rush a bit so I'm not late to my wife's special event. She would kill me if I showed up just over 5 minutes late, and I currently have about 15 minutes to icing this whole, triple tiered cake.
"I can do it," I breathe as I keep a steady pace with the icing knife, carefully spreading it around evenly on each of the three tiers.
In no time, I finished all of the icing and have already booked it out the door to town square, careful as to not topple the cake over as I speed walk.
I watch as Haley's face lights up as soon as she sees me rounding the corner. She immediately clears a place on the cake table for me to gently place down my amazing creation.
"It looks amazing, my dear!" She stretches up and plants a kiss on my cheek as a reward for a job well done.
"Let's get this show on the road everyone!" We chant to the crowd that's gathered for the event.
Jas, Vincent, Emily, Caroline, Marnie, Jodi, Pam, and Clint all take a square on the mat, ready to start. Haley blows the whistle and they begin walking clockwise around the square mat. Jas and Vincent seem very excited to be participating in this event, and it makes everyone smile as we watch them excitedly hopping into each numbered square.
"It was a really good turn out, huh?" Haley nudges me happily, admiring her work.
"You did a great job, love." Just as I begin to go in for a kiss, Marnie chimes in.
"Um...Haley? When do we stop? My legs are..." Marnie begins to pant as she continues to try to keep up with the rotation.
"Whoops! Forgot to blow the whistle!" Haley quickly puts the whistle to her lips and blows. Everyone freezes on the spot, and begins to look at the number they landed on. Haley begins to give out the designated cake prizes.
"Caroline, you get Mayor Lewis' cave carrot loaf, with extra fiber" Haley announces.
"Oh, joy" I hear her mumble.
"Emily, you get Pam's chocolate stout cupcakes with aged bourbon buttercream!" Haley announces again.
"You're in for a treat, kid," Pam chuckles to Emily.
"Jas... you get Clint's wild horseradish cobbler..." Haley's face goes a shade green as she could hardly get the sentence out of her mouth without gagging. The look on Jas' face is so heartbreaking.
"It's an old family recipe. I baked it right in the smelting oven. Oh and I might have burned the bottom a little... you may have to peel off a large amount of charred matter. But the rest should totally be edible!" Clint declares, causing everyone to have a disgusted look on their face.
"Next up is Vincent! We've got Robin's triple syrup n' cream strawberry log!" Haley holds up the next dish for everyone to see.
"Oh no..." Jodi's face goes pale. Vincent is already jumping up and down excitedly.
"Jodi, you get Emily's organic red velvet cake...colored with beets!" Haley says.
I hear Jodi reply with a soft "yum" from the mat.
"Last but not least...Pam! You are the lucky winner of my wife's deluxe chocolate cake!" Haley holds up my beautiful chocolate cake for everyone to see.
"Thanks, kid," Pam says to us. She nods her head my way as well as Haley's.
"Thanks everyone for joining in. We raised over 5000 coins!
"What's the money for anyway? You buyin' a new purse?" George scoffs from the sidelines.
"Actually... it's for Penny," Haley turns her attention towards a confused looking Penny.
"Penny, about two years ago I overheard you telling Danny about those school books you use for Jas and Vincent. It sounded like you could use some help and I couldn't think of the right thing to help until recently. I know I'm pretty late to this, but I hope you're okay with this?"
Penny's face lights up as she processes what Haley just said. "Did you hear that, kids? You're getting brand new school books!" she shouts, ecstatically. "I don't know what to say... Thank you so much to both of you!" Penny gives us both a big hug.
"Hey Lewis... since we're funding the education without touching the town's coffers, you'll be lowering our business tax, right?" Robin calls over to Mayor Lewis.
He starts looking around nervously at everyone, avoiding eye contact with Robin. I can see visible sweat drops fall from his forehead.
"We'll discuss that at a later date. I have...somewhere to be right now!" and with that he scurries off.
I swoop Haley into a big, celebratory hug, spinning us around a few times. Her feet come off the ground a bit from how far I pick her up.
"You did it! The Cake Walk was a success!" I exclaim.
"You helped, Danny. I couldn't have done it without you," Haley gushes.
"I hardly did anything. This was all you. It was such a thoughtful gesture, I love that you did this. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with such a kind and thoughtful person," I place little kisses all over her cheeks making her giggle and try to swat me away.
"You better be, because you are stuck with me Mrs. Danny," Haley swipes her finger down my nose and then tips my hat over my eyes.
"I love you, Haley."
"I love you, Danny."

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 41
🌻~THE NEXT SUMMER ~🌻
Eventually, all of the sunflowers had perished by the end of fall last year. I told Haley that just means we can look forward to replanting them this summer. She really took me up on that because just two weeks ago we had planted them all once again.
The sunflowers aren't quite as tall yet this season, but by fall they will be towering over our heads. They are currently still tall enough to make the little bench area secluded from the rest of the world, just the way Haley likes it.
This morning though, is anything but sunny. It's raining total buckets outside today which limits the things I can do today. But then I got an idea.
Running to the telephone in my room, I dial Haley's number.
"Darling! Hi!" her voice sings through the phone.
"Meet me in the sunflower field in an hour," is all I tell her.
"In this weather? Are you insane?" She questions me.
"Trust me," I breathe out, heart pounding in my chest.
"Hm. Okay then," she huffs.
"Make sure to wear something you consider nice. You'll thank me later." Without another word from her, I hung up the phone.
I quickly throw on my signature overalls, work boots and cowboy hat. I have on a light pink t-shirt underneath my overalls as an attempt to look nice. I tie my hair back to my favorite half up half down style. My hair has been making its way back to its original length now. At this point it just passed my shoulders in length.
Without an umbrella or any rain protection, I set out into the nasty weather without a second thought. I know what I am going to do.
Haley and I have been going strong since we established our feelings for one another. All of our previous fighting and sass was all due to us being head over heels with one another at first sight. Who would've guessed? The perfect, pretty, pristine, boy obsessed girl was really into the dingy, dirty, farm girl the whole time. The way the world works goes completely over my head. If you were to tell me I'd be in this position 2 years ago, I would've never believed you. I'm sure Haley would feel the same way. I am so obsessed with her and don't think I'll ever be able to live my life normally if she wasn't with me. Which is why I am going to do this.
"Ahhh Danny. I knew you'd be coming soon enough. I could feel it in the damp, musty, rainy air." The way this guy spoke was absolutely creeping me out. I had chills going down my body, causing my arms to have goosebumps.
"Five thousand coins please," he says before I can even say anything. Cringing over how expensive that is, I reach into my backpack and rifle around until I pull out five thousand coins.
"Wonderful. Here you go..." He holds his hand out to me, dropping something into the palm of my hand.
"Thank you...Old Mariner?" I say questioningly. Unsure if he likes to be addressed as that.
I take a minute to admire the misty ocean water ahead of us. The rain blocks any view of the far away horizon. The rough waters sway and crash about, threatening anyone who dares to enter them in these conditions. It is almost an eerie sight to see when looking out into the rainy abyss of the ocean. I see why this creepy Old Mariner likes to show up when it rains. Really adds to this guy's dumb performance.
I turn to face the Old Mariner one more time before heading out. Except he wasn't there. Confused, I whip my head in every direction looking for him. How did he get so far from the short amount of time I didn't face him? And where does he even go?
Still chilled to the bone over this unnerving experience, I turn on my heels and scurry away from the beach. After all, I have a pretty lady waiting for me back at the farm.
Before entering the sunflower field to wait for Haley, I had tossed my backpack inside so as to not kill the mood with it on. It's not really the most romantic article of clothing in the world, and I'm already pushing it with what I have on now. I also cleaned myself up quickly so I wasn't all muddy and damp. I will end up getting damp from the rain all over again once I go back out to meet Haley, but it won't be as bad. Knowing her, she will show up with an umbrella so she doesn't get her outfit all wet and gross. I don't know what she will do about her shoes though.
I push my way through the thick stems of the sunflower field so that I'm ready when Haley arrives. If she is right on time, I won't have to wait much longer. I tried to time it so that I'm not waiting outside for too long.
To my amusement, I begin to see a cute, little, blue umbrella bobbing its way over the top of all the sunflowers. Haley held it higher up so that it wouldn't get caught in all the leaves and stems of the sunflowers most likely.
"I'm here!" she joyfully bounces into the clearing of the field where I wait. My arms are twisted behind my back nervously, carefully hiding my hands as well.
"Hi here. I thought you were Haley?" I tease, causing her to nudge my shoulder playfully.
"Why did you ask me to come here? It better be worth it. I'm ruining my good shoes for this," she rolls her eyes but cracks a big smile knowing that whatever I asked her here for will be worth it.
"I think you look gorgeous," I mentioned. She really does look so pretty. She is wearing a baby blue sundress with a small pink bow in the middle of the chest area. She has pink pumps on that match the small bow as well. It looks like she was extra careful with those shoes on the way here because they are barely dirty. Her golden hair is, as always, draped over her shoulders, cascading in a way that doesn't cover her beautiful face.
"Emily helped me do my nails this morning for some reason. I didn't think they were that wrecked yet, but she insisted on redoing them when I mentioned where I was going today."
Hearing Haley say that causes me to sweat and grit my teeth. Does Haley know? How did Emily know? I didn't tell anyone, I just came up with the idea today! I mean I was thinking about it since the new year, but I had never told anyone.
"Emily did a wonderful job," I had taken her hand in mine, looking over her blue ombre nails.
"Now are you going to tell me why you asked me here!" she gleefully exclaims, clearly on her toes about whatever may happen.
"Ahem..." I clear my throat, suddenly feeling much more nervous and choked up. It's really happening. "Haley... I had woken up today on this gloomy, gloomy day with a thought in my head I just couldn't shake. On gloomy days like this, I heard there is a visitor that appears on the island that you may have heard of. Now when I saw the rain, something clicked in my head, so I went to pay that guy a visit. Haley, I don't want to spend any more gloomy, rainy days waking up alone. I don't want to spend ANY day waking up alone anymore. I want you by my side every second of every day. You are my reason for getting up in the morning and making this farm the way it is. You give me the motivation to keep this farm up and running and you give me a reason to stay here instead of going back to the city. If I hadn't met you, I would've chickened out and ran back to the city to live a life I definitely didn't want. The forces of the universe clearly wanted me to come here for a reason, and that reason was you. I love you Haley."
As I blurted out my on-the-spot speech, Haley's eyes had widened to the size of saucers once she realized what was happening. Her hand slowly makes its way up to cover her mouth in shock.
"Um..." I awkwardly try to bend down on one knee, but realize that may not be part of the tradition so I stand back up. Then I realize that is whatever I want for this moment, so then I lower myself back down to one knee. Haley begins to giggle over my uncertainty. I take my hands out from behind my back and present them in front of Haley, holding the Mermaid's Pendant. One hand holds the chain, while the other one has the pendant part displayed on the palm.
"My pretty lady. My beautiful, beautiful Haley... will you marry me?" My words ring out into the air for a moment. Neither of us grasping that this is really happening.
Haley nearly drops her umbrella as she starts jumping with joy. She squeals excitedly a few times before collapsing into me, bawling her eyes out. I catch her just before her knees touch the ground so she doesn't fall straight into the muddy grass. The rest of her body falls more into my chest.
"Yes! A thousand times yes! I love you too, Danny," she sobs, muffled by my chest. I move her hair back while she sobs away into me so I can clip the Mermaid Pendant around her neck. I gently lay my arms around her shoulders after to reciprocate her hug.
The sunflowers around us dance in the warm, summer breeze. It makes them look like they are cheering for us. I pull Haley tighter to me and give her a tight squeeze. I'm having a full celebration with plenty of cheering in my head.
"We have to go tell everyone! We have to tell Emily so she can start making our wedding outfits! Hopefully she can do it all in three days but-" Haley starts.
"THREE DAYS? THE WEDDING IS IN THREE DAYS?" I shout, startled about the wedding date being so soon.
"We get married quickly here in Pelican Town," she sheepishly smiles, a blush spreading across her face. "Is it too soon? Do you want to wait?"
"I'd marry you right now if I could. Three days is perfectly okay with me," I reassure her.
🌻 🌻 🌻
Those three days couldn't have gone by any slower. The two of us were raring to get married the second we got engaged. We could hardly keep our hands off each other either. We had started construction on my farmhouse to give her an area of her own for when she moves in, but in the process of building and decorating we had a few... celebration breaks. Like I said, we couldn't keep our hands off each other.
When the whole town found out we were engaged, they all started planning the wedding, Pelican Town style. Apparently it gets set up in the middle of town square like a lot of the other events they put on. They keep all of the outdated ceremony decorations stored away for every single wedding that is held here. It's hard to believe that Haley is okay with a wedding like this. She did add her own touches to it all though, but everything else she was happy with.
When we told Emily, she immediately started planning our outfits right away. She dragged us into her sewing room and started measurements. The two of them couldn't stop laughing at how much I didn't belong there with all the frilly clothes surrounding me. Emily was even going to put me in a dress for the wedding until I gave her a very very long, hard stare. When has she seen me in a dress? What made her think I'd want a dress? My dress denial made them laugh even harder. Emily, of course, respected my wishes and started designing me a suit instead. At least that's what I THOUGHT it was going to be.
When I showed up to get dressed for the wedding today, she pulled out the most outrageous outfit I've ever seen. Not in a bad way though, but in a way that I had never seen anything like it.
"White overalls? Are you kidding me?" I excitedly started laughing over how funny Emily is, taking them by the hanger from her hands.
"Haley knew you'd like it. She suggested it," Emily chuckles.
"Really? Haley suggested this? That girl surprises me more and more each day. Where is she anyway?"
"She went over to Evelyn's house to get ready. I'm going over as soon as you are done getting ready here. I figured you wouldn't take too long and she takes forever so it works out great." Emily pulls out a fancy white shirt to go under my white overalls. She also goes over to a shelf and grabs a pink flower.
"Since you aren't in a suit, you can put this flower in the front pocket of the overalls." Emily hands over the rest of my outfit and starts walking away to let me get ready.
"Thank you so much Emily. This is all so great. You've been a great friend and the best sister to Haley. We wouldn't be here without you," I call over to her before she walks out of the sewing room to her own room.
"Thank you, Danny. You make her so happy. You bring out a side of Haley we had never seen until you showed up. I can't thank you enough for being patient with her and letting her find her true self. I knew it was in there somewhere!" she laughs as she walks away.
Once I was all dressed in my wedding attire, Emily came right back to help straighten everything up and made sure it fits okay. She helped do my hair up nicely in the same way I always have it, but this time it looks better than when I do it. She smoothed back my hair to tie the top part into a ponytail, and brushed the hairs underneath so that they lay nicely down my back. She didn't let me wear my hat unfortunately as it would "ruin it". She said I could have it back after the ceremony. Haley had told Emily that she wants to be able to see my face in pictures. I guess I got away with wearing overalls to my wedding so I should be thankful for that.
I mosey my way out to the wedding area after getting dressed. That's where I see everyone else continuing to set up the last minute things for the big day. The one thing that catches my eye is that there are no chairs.
"Y'all don't sit or anything?" I asked the person closest to me which was Alex. He was in the midst of carrying a big flower pot.
"It's crazy isn't it? I always wondered that too," he replies. I watch as he looks me up and down quickly. "You look hot. Haley is gonna drool when she sees you."
"Why thank you. Sorry again for stealing your girl," I jokingly say.
"Oh please. You are everything I could never be. For one, a girl and two, into girls. I can't believe I never came out sooner. It would've saved Haley the headache I gave her. I feel terrible about everything I put her through and I hope she can forgive me one day. You really saved her from me. I'm glad you moved here and she took a liking to you. Anyways, congratulations on your big day. You two deserve it." He gives me a genuine smile and continues walking to wherever the big flower pot goes.
I wanted to help with all the rest of the setting up, but everyone kept saying no. All I could do was stand helplessly, watching everyone carrying decorations around. Leah and Elliot came over to chat with me and keep me busy too.
"See Leah. What did I tell you? They were meant to get married!" Elliot goofs.
"And I was the one who told them to go at their own pace. You wanted them to get married on the spot you wacko!" Leah responds to Elliot.
"Regardless, they made it this far and I see a bright future between the two of them. Lots of sex and lots of happiness. Cheers to that." That gets him a smack on the arm from Leah. I could see the laugh playing on her lips that she is trying so hard to hold in.
"I couldn't have asked for better friends when moving here. You guys have been such a help to me and made me feel comfortable moving in here. You accepted me as part of the town and I will forever be grateful," I sappily pour my heart out to them.
"We actually never accepted you, you just made that up in your head. I don't know where you got that from," Leah smirks and looks at Elliot. "Isn't that right Elliot?"
"Pfff yeah. We never liked you one bit. You are such a burden to us and should've never moved here. My Yoba, Danny." Elliot holds his palm out to me and turns his head away in disgust.
"Get in here you two," I take both of them into my arms and give them a big squeeze. They both return the hug by squeezing me back.
"It's been so great getting to know you Danny. Thank you for being our friend and putting up with us," Elliot says.
"You've been a lot of fun to tease and have fun with. You sure have a lot of patience," Leah adds. "I'm glad we met you."
"Looks like it's time!" Elliot excitedly informs me. He points at Mayor Lewis who is trying to wave me over to stand under the flower arch. Everyone else is standing in the audience, waiting for the big event to begin. I see Evelyn and Emily have weaved their way into the crowd which means Haley is fully ready and waiting.
Taking a deep breath, I take my place underneath the gorgeous archway decorated with pale pink flowers. I watch as every head in the crowd turns to look down the aisle. Jas and Vincent make their way towards me up the aisle, tossing flower petals as they go. I can't help but smile at how cute they are.
A moment later, everyone gasps. Haley appears at the end of the aisle staring back at me. She looks absolutely stunning. Her dress looks as if it came out of a fairytale. It has a big poofy skirt trimmed with the same light pink flowers as the one in my front pocket. The bodice hugs her body tightly, but loose enough to let her breathe comfortably. The straps of the dress are an off the shoulder design made out of tulle. Her hair was left down, but some front pieces were all tucked and braided to the back of her head with a few strands left out to frame her face. In her hands was the same style of bouquet I gave her when I wanted to show her I was romantically interested. Down to the same color ribbon I had tied around the stems.
My brain had gone completely blank. I was absolutely speechless and bursting with excitement. She slowly glides down the aisle, stirring up some flower petals from the ground as she moves. She looks absolutely magical.
She takes her stand next to me under the arch. The two of us looking into each other's eyes, forgetting everyone else exists. In the background, I hear Mayor Lewis begin speaking.
"When Danny first arrived in Pelican Town, no one knew if she'd fit in with our community... But from this day forward, Danny is going to be as much a part of this town as any of us!" The town folk start cheering at Lewis's declaration. Haley and I break our gaze as soon as we hear the last of his speech. "You may kiss!"
Without another thought, I sweep Haley into my arms like the world is ending and she is my only source of life. Her soft, glossed lips connect with mine instantly. The audience continues to cheer over our passionate, loving kiss. I would've kissed her longer if we weren't right in front of everyone, but eventually we broke apart. I take her hand in mine as we face the crowd. The wind picks up for a minute and it causes all of the flower petals to take to the air. I twirl Haley around to face me again and bring her back for another heart melting kiss.
"I get to be a farmer now, too!" she squeals, squeezing my hands in hers.
"And you are going to be the best wife anyone could ever ask for," I whisper as I tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear, daydreaming over the beautiful future we are going to have.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 40: Back to Danny's POV
Today is the day of the Stardew Valley Fair that I had to be so decisive for. Even with the whole town helping me out last week, it did not help. I still had to narrow down the items from 20 to 9. I swear the folks had picked out more than I had even considered to be running in the item picking session.
Vincent and Jas had gathered many eggs from the chicken coop, so I was going to pick one of those. Penny and Maru picked some flowers that were in season that I had growing on my farm, and everyone else had brought quite a wide variety of things.
"This shouldn't be that hard, Danny...Pick something!" I say to myself as my eyes scan over all of the fun, unique items. I have my hand resting on the table, holding my head up by my forehead. I have only an hour left to decide before I have to pack it up and carry it over, but it is just so difficult.
I look over to observe the items I have already picked out. So far, I have a chicken egg, a fairy rose, pale ale, a ruby, wine, and Haley's favorite she had picked out, a sunflower. Not just any sunflower though, it was the tallest one of the field. She told me it had to be the best one since it was the tallest, so of course I had to bring it to the fair for her.
"I only need three more ugghhhh." I bring my head down and smack my forehead against the edge of the table a few times to try to get my brain working.
I looked at the table one more time and decided to go with whatever my eyes landed on first. That turned out to be a crab that I caught.
"Fine. That works." I put the crab aside with the rest of my already picked items.
I also notice that my eyes keep getting drawn to the plate of pepper poppers that Shane had picked out. I decided to set the plate aside as I'm running out of time.
"One last thing..." I close my eyes and wave my hand over the table. I lower my hand to pick something but it goes straight to the bare table, so I try again. This time, it lands on an eggplant.
"How mature, Sam," I mumble to myself. I had not realized that it was even there until now. I have no awareness whatsoever apparently.
I hurriedly packed all the stuff up and beeline it over to the town square where the fair was going on. I heard this year was going to be way more exquisite and exciting than their previous years. Usually they just have a few tents set up for mini games and a fortune teller, but I heard they have enough in the budget for a Ferris wheel this time around.
Sure enough when I make my rushing entrance, my eyes are immediately drawn to said ferris wheel that's kind of just tossed wherever they had space (there is barely enough room for it).
"Danny! Glad you made it considering your whole event you put together to have people pick your items for you," Mayor Lewis says almost derogatory as he looms under the lamp post by the pathway. "There is an open booth for you to set your display up, let me know when you are ready and I will be over to start judging,"
"Alright, thanks," I say a little skeptically.
Making my way over to my display booth, I started setting up the items in the pattern I thought looked best. I was interrupted not long after by familiar arms, locking me in an embrace.
"Took you long enough to get here! I was looking all over for you," Haley exclaims, squeezing me tightly from behind. Turning around, I scoop her up and sit her down on the ledge of my booth. I'm standing between her legs with either hand placed on the ledge beside her thighs.
"I'd put you up for my display if I could. You are my prized possession after all," I whisper seductively to Haley, leaning closer to her face, hoping for a kiss. This causes her to blush from ear to ear, which drives me crazy.
"Ahem..." we hear coming from our left, causing our heads to turn. I quickly stand up straight and smooth out my shirt. "Are you almost set up, Danny? I'm just really looking forward to the judging and everything. Sorry to bother you," Pierre chimes over to me. I can't help but let a look of disgust fall over my face but I quickly shake it off.
"Yeah, I'm almost done. Sorry..." I call back to Pierre.
Leaning back over Haley, I whisper again to her, "does everyone have a stick up their ass today or something?"
My comment makes her chuckle, which makes Pierre look over too. We ignore him, going back to getting my booth ready. I let Haley keep sitting on the ledge while I worked around her. She makes a little remark about each item I had brought with me, but really starts talking about her sunflower I brought. She was very excited I had brought it and even took a picture with her camera she brought when I had my display all set up.
"I'm so glad I decided to bring this, I'm going to get so many good pictures of you!" she squeals.
We walk over to where Mayor Lewis continues to creep around the lamp post, letting him know I'm set for him to start judging. He just gives me a nod and follows me to the displays. There were two other booths set up besides Pierre's and I's. Marnie was set up right beside me, while Willy was at the end. They wished me good luck and I did the same to them. Pierre and I said nothing to each other.
Lewis starts strolls by the four of us, looking closely at our items. When the rest of the visitors of the fair realize what's happening, they make their way over to watch the judging happen. I realize there are a lot more people here than just us who live here. There are so many I don't recognize.
"There are more people here than last year by far." Haley whispers from beside me. "They must've heard about the ferris wheel."
"Do you want to go for a spin on the Ferris wheel after this?" I ask Haley.
"Why don't we wait until dark," she shot me a wink but then quickly realized how provocative that sounded and started frantically waving her hands. "I didn't mean it like that! I just mean that there might be something happening later that I heard about from Emily. We will get a good view from the top of the Ferris wheel."
"Are you sure you didn't mean it like that?" I tease.
"Weeelllll..." Haley taps her finger on her lip like she is thinking hard.
"If I may have your attention folks!" Mayor Lewis shouts, causing all eyes to be on him. "I have decided a winner!"
The crowd goes wild at this announcement. I see several fingers pointing at my display, mostly by the residents of Pelican Town who had helped me with my booth.
"Alright, alright everyone. I'm pleased to announce that Danny has won the display showcase this year! Good job Danny. Thank you all for participating again this year, and we hope to see you next year! Come see me to receive your prizes, participants."
"Get ready to go crazy on the fair games! I know first place wins a lot of star tokens which you use to play the games." Haley gestures with her hand to all of the tents set up.
"Well we better get started so I can crush you in every single one of these games." I swing my finger around to every tent. Haley just rolls her eyes at me.
                                      🌻 🌻 🌻
"Can we quickly stop at the fortune teller before we go on the Ferris wheel? I've been meaning to go all afternoon, but then I got distracted by my hunger and then eating dinner," Haley begs just as we begin to walk by it.
"Of course we can."
"Danny? Haley? You are coming in aren't you?" The fortune teller says before we even step a foot closer. Haley and I freeze and look at each other with wide eyes. Hesitantly, I open the tent door and hold it open for Haley to enter before me.
"Wonderful! I'm glad you're here. Before we begin, 100 coins from each of you please." The fortune teller sticks her hand out to us, waiting for our coins. We dig into our pockets, pulling out the coins and counting them between the two of us. When we have the right amount, we pass them over and wait anxiously for our fortune.
"Firstly, Danny... you are going to have a very successful career in farming. Never give up even when you think you have hit a stressful time. The crops will always grow as you grow along with them." The fortune teller whimsically waves her fingers around a glass ball in front of her. I just look over at Haley with skeptical eyes and she shrugs.
"Haley... you have come a long way to where you are now. There is always a deeper meaning to life than what you see at the surface. It seems you are finding that out piece by piece. Keep on that path, and you will have a joyous life."
My eyes don't leave Haley even though she is focused on the fortune teller. Her face is contorted into a look of amusement and confusion over the words of the fortune lady. It is very rewarding to see this side of her that I'm sure very few have ever seen.
"One last thing, ladies..." the fortune teller begins, capturing our full attention now. "I believe there will be one sunny day coming up next summer... but it will be when you least expect it that's for sure. Don't count on the sun in the sky for a sunny day, but rather look to what's before you," the fortune teller says ominously, still wagging her fingers at the glass ball.
"Interesting..." is all I can utter. Haley just looks at me bewildered.
We make our way out of the tent, pondering what that could mean. A bunch of scenarios start running through my mind, but nothing seems to make sense. I can tell the gears in Haley's brain are working just as hard to think of what she could mean.
"I guess it'll be a surprise?" I mentioned to Haley on our walk to the Ferris wheel.
"I guess so," she says in a disappointed tone, seemingly upset over not knowing what our future holds.
I help Haley up onto the small, rickety seat of the cheap Ferris wheel. Everyone else at the fair has either left at this time, or has had their fill of the Ferris wheel for the day. This leaves only us on the ride. To make things even more cliche, Haley begged the bored ride attendant to stop us right at the top. He sighed and caved right away, not giving a care in the world.
"Woohoo!" she shouts as our seat begins to move. Involuntarily, I grip the singular metal bar that's strapping us in. My knuckles go pale from how hard I grab on for dear life. Haley on the other hand has her arms up in the air and head tipped back, soaking up the beautiful, autumn air. Her hair looks like a golden waterfall as it dangles from her head over the back of the seat. The wind causes it to wave and ripple around, making it look even more ethereal.
Just by looking at her, all my rickety Ferris wheel worries leave my mind. Haley must've sensed me calming down, because she brought one of her hands down to take my hand in hers. But just as I let go, our whole seat jolts to a stop. I hadn't even realized we were at the top already.
"If Emily didn't lie to me, we will only have to wait a few more minutes before-" Haley was cut off by a loud pop noise. Another one followed right after. Then another.
"Fireworks!" Haley grins at me, waiting for my reaction. Her face lit up from the brightness of the huge firework popping close by.
"You timed this so perfectly," I say while admiring the firework show in front of us. The sky is lit up by several different colors and patterns of fireworks. They ranged from all different sizes and patterns, even different noises.
Feeling confident to let go of the metal bar again, I slip my arm around Haley's shoulders and tuck her close to my side. She leans into me, getting comfortable.
"I'm so glad you moved here," Haley mumbles up to me.
"And I'm glad I decided to move here." I plant a gentle kiss on the top of her head, squeezing her closer to me. I can never get enough of her.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 39: Haley's POV
As I lay, moaning and groaning in bed feeling all sulky, I realize today is the day of Danny’s get-together. I hear Emily clashing and banging pots and pans around in the kitchen as she does her morning routine of making breakfast. Her footsteps start getting closer to my room though, soon after she barges the door open.
“Catch,” is all she says, tossing something my way. I wasn’t even sitting up so whatever it just plopped onto my bed. Curiously, I pat around my bed to find whatever it is and investigate. My hand grazes over a smooth plastic bottle that turned out to be ibuprofen.
“Thanks,” I manage to mutter.
“You’re gonna need that so you can come with me to Danny’s,” Emily points out.
“Go without me for now. I’ll show up a bit later I think,” I take the glass of water I have beside my bed and dump a pill into my hand. I pop it into my mouth and wash it down with a big swig of the water.
“You’ll probably miss out on a bunch of stuff. I’d go as soon as possible if I were you. Danny is also going to be looking for you, you know?”
“I know. But I just hurt everywhere and I don’t want to bring down the mood…”
“You’ll perk up once you see Danny. I know it.” and with that she shuts the door again and walks away. I hear the front door open and shut quickly as she leaves for the day.
For a while, I toss and turn wondering if I should get out of bed yet, but in the midst of doing so I end up falling right back asleep.
                                              🌻 🌻 🌻
“Shit shit shit shit!” I frantically leap out of bed when I finally had woken up from my unplanned slumber. Almost 3 hours had passed according to the clock on my wall.
I start running around my room gathering articles of clothing I plan on wearing over to Danny’s place. Quickly slipping out of my nightgown, I throw on jeans, and a busty tank top with an oversized cardigan over top to keep me warm from the cool, autumn air. The tank top is kind of a bold move, but I can’t help but love watching Danny’s eyes struggle to make eye contact when I wear tight tops.
Walking out of my room, I ran over to the kitchen to grab a quick snack for the walk over which happened to be an apple. It’ll have to do until I find something at Danny’s.
After putting on a pair of stylish boots, I slip out the front door and start booking it over to Danny’s with my hands in my cardigan pockets.
When I reach the entrance of her farm, I silently stand back for a moment to observe the happenings. It seems like a whole swarm of people are watching some sort of competition. I duck my head around, trying to get a good view through a small gap in the crowd. Someone kind of bobs out of the way just in time for me to get a good look in.
To my utter enjoyment, Danny is all hot and sweaty, swinging an axe around. Her sleeves are rolled up exposing her arms, while her hat is hanging on for dear life to stay on her head. One big gust of wind and it’ll blow right off. I stand there for a minute gawking over how good she looks right now and kicking myself over missing the action.
It’s such a shame I’m on my period right now because I’d love to take her inside and-..
For some reason, I’m just now noticing what Danny’s got going on at her farm. My mouth falls open and I start walking a couple steps closer. Danny must’ve finally noticed me because I see her coming running over to me. I heard a whole bunch of cheering from the crowd she just left, but she was not focused on it. Her eyes were glued to me while I was too busy looking at her farm.
“Why are there so many sunflowers?” I ask, absolutely astounded by the amount she has growing off to the left of her farm, just behind her chicken coop.
“Well I-” she begins. I cut her off by walking closer to the large field of the sunflowers to get a better look.
“There are so many!” I squeal with joy as I reach up to caress a petal of one of the flowers. Stepping over the barricade Danny has around the field, I push my way into the dense forest of the stems. I feel Danny taking my hand as she follows behind me.
Every single sunflower easily towers over the two of us. Danny must’ve given them steroids or something because I have never seen any so tall before.
I find myself giggling as I keep pushing my way through them all, feeling all tickled by the leaves brushing up against me. I turn back a few times to see Danny with a huge grin on her face.
While I’m too focused on her, in front of me begins to feel on the cooler side again. It was pretty warm in the maze of the sunflowers, so I assumed the coolness had meant I reached the end.
However… that was not the case. When I turn to face forward again, I can’t help but have my jaw drop once again.
In the middle of the huge sunflower field under strings of twinkling fairy lights is a beautiful, handcrafted, wooden bench. It’s painted in a beautiful ocean blue color. Upon closer inspection, there are gorgeous decals engraved into the wood that stand out due to being painted over with a light pink.
On the backrest of the bench also painted with pink, five letters are carved neatly in an almost cursive font.
HALEY
My whole body whipped around to face Danny who was rocking back and forth on her heels with her hands in her pockets.
“Danny...”
“Haley...”
Speechless, I cannot think of anything else to say. I just keep turning to look at the bench and back and Danny.
“Surprise!” Danny does awkward little jazz hands as she says that.
“This is for me?”
“You are Haley, aren't you?”
“And the sunflowers..?”
“Also for you. I picked up a few packets of seeds that one day in Pierre’s when you weren’t looking. I had planted them all in summer, and over time I harvested their seeds to grow more and more. It turned out to be a monster of a field as you can tell,” she gestures in a circular motion to the sunflowers surrounding us.
“But why?”
“I had to try to impress you somehow,” Danny goofs as if it was an obvious choice to grow a whole field of sunflowers and get a whole customized bench.
“It sure is working,” I chuckle as I feel my face flush warm. I walk over to the bench and perch down on it, patting beside me to get Danny to come sit with me. She comes over and sits down very ungracefully, spreading her legs open and draping her arms around the back of the bench with one going behind my back.
“Where’d you get the bench?” I question.
“Robin made it. I painted it and then tried my best to carve your name in it,” she traces her fingers along my name. I start choking up and gently put my hand over my mouth to hide my quiet sobs. It wasn’t enough because Danny tilted my chin so I’m looking up at her.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nobody has ever done anything like this for me before. It’s beautiful.”
“I’m going to try to replant it every summer so you can come visit whenever you’d like to.” Danny looks up at all of the fairy lights above us. It’s a bit too sunny out for them to really shine right now, but at night they will surely be bright.
Now I’m really crying. I lean over to lay on Danny’s shoulder, bawling away. It was such a beautiful gesture that I just cannot fathom somebody going to all the trouble to do it for me.
“I’m sorry it took so long to finally show you. I just wanted to make sure it was perfect,” Danny mumbles.
“Everything you do is perfect,” I utter through my sobs, taking her hand into mine. I feel her cheek rest against the top of my head as we both sit on the bench quietly for a few minutes.
Danny suddenly jolts her head up, fixing her hat on her head. “I forgot I have a whole event going on!” she shouts. I can’t help but laugh over the fact she forgot she was hosting people at her farm. How can someone forget such a thing?
After sitting up straight on the bench and looking at her, I take her by the cheeks and pull her in for a sensual kiss. Her body seems to completely melt into it as she wraps my body up into her arms and pulls me in closer. She gets a bit carried away as she starts getting handsy. The feeling of her hands exploring my body is something that will never get old.
“You wore that top on purpose,” she whispers against my lips.
“And you have an event to get back to,” I gently push her away as she gives me the saddest puppy dog eyes. Her cute face was so hard to resist.
She pops up off the bench and holds her hand out for me to take. After helping me up, we wander our way back to the rest of the farm where everyone else is.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 38
Anxiously, I sit along my front porch the next day awaiting the arrival of everyone who would like to participate in my little get-together. Part of me thinks that absolutely nobody is going to show up for some reason, but I know that a few definitely should show up. Leah and Elliot being two that will come support me no matter what. As for everyone else, it’s hard to say. I desperately wish for Haley to hopefully feel better today as well so she can come over too. I would hate for her to miss out.
My farm is scattered with supplies and items for people to examine, admire and taste test. I know it’s not a tasting contest, but the best things to display usually taste the best. That and the people will need things to eat while being here. I have other refreshments set up that aren’t meant to be picked for display too.
Today feels more like an autumn day than ever. The air is crisp and if you don’t have a sweater it will be chilly for sure. I have a small campfire going on for people to warm up by if they need to, as well as blankets to sit on or warm up with.
To my joy, the first few people arrived at my farm. It was Sam, Vincent, and their mom, Jodi. Vincent takes one look at my farm as his eyes light up in excitement. Behind them, I see a whole wave of people walking up to participate in my event. I quickly stand up from my front porch, ready to greet everyone and explain what is going to go on. Unfortunately, I did not see Haley in the wave of people.
“Hi everyone! I didn’t expect such a crowd. I didn’t think anyone would want to come,” I sheepishly scratch the back of my neck.
“Of course we would come, Danny. You’re great!” Leah shouts from somewhere at the back of the crowd. It makes me chuckle but I continue my speech.
“I just wanted to say how grateful I am that you all welcomed me into your amazing community of Pelican Town. This little thing I got going on here was me hoping to thank you all, but also get everyone interacting and involved with my stand at the fair next week. I have such a hard time deciding on things that I need a LOT of help. So feel free to look at things, pick up things, dig up the crops that are marked with a star, taste things, and find things that you think I should put up for display at the fair next week. I have an empty table set up for everyone to put their voted items on, so I can go over what has been picked and narrow it down from there. Does anyone have any questions?”
To my demise, the only person raising their hand is Sam. I let out a small sigh and gesture to Sam to speak.
“What’s with all of those?” he waves his hand over to my project area that I’ve marked off limits. I feel my cheeks heat up and I shyly turn my face away as I reply.
“That’s…for Haley…”
The whole crowd erupts with “awws” and “ouuus”. I do an awkward smile and let everyone get it out of their system.
“We should have guessed,” I hear Elliot call out from the same area as Leah was. I see everyone start nodding their heads and laughing.
“Now not to be cliche or anything, but the most important rule is to have fun. Actually it’s “don’t hurt the chickens” but I know you guys wouldn’t do that. Please be nice to my little munchkins.” I gesture to the chicken coop which causes Vincent and Jas to immediately start running over there. The rest of the crowd breaks apart to go their separate ways as well, finding stuff to look at. I stand with my arms crossed, feeling pretty proud of myself.
I watch Pam immediately bring a glass of beer and a glass of pale ale to the empty table. She then went back over to where the other glasses were and started chugging them. I’m going to run out of beer and pale ale very quickly.
Leah and Elliot are giggling away by the wine bottles, each with a glass of some in their hand. I decided to make my way over there to talk to them.
“Someone’s been having an eventful few weeks,” Leah nudges me in the shoulder when I get closer.
“Yeah it’s been crazy. I can’t even keep up at some points. It’s all going so fast. I can’t believe I’ve almost been here for a full year.”
“Yeah only a few more months! I take it you are not going to leave any time soon?” Elliot asks.
“I don’t plan to. I have the life I’ve always wanted here. I could not ask for a better life at this point to be honest. Best decision I’ve ever made.” I start leaning against the table with the wine, kicking my boots around in the dirt.
“You could always go and get Haley a mermaid pendant if you are so set on staying and enjoy life here so much…” Elliot looks behind him, pretending like he wasn’t the one to just suggest that.
“I mean… isn’t it a little soon for that? We haven’t even been together for that long.”
“I thought lesbians always move faster than usual in relationships?” Elliot adds, making Leah laugh out loud.
I hold my hand up in Elliot’s direction to stop him from saying anything else, trying hard not to crack a smile. I didn’t try very hard because I broke into a huge smile with a few chuckles.
“I can’t believe you guys. You crack me up,” I say to the two of them.
“You have all winter to think about it since it doesn’t rain during our winters. Do whatever you think is best, Danny,” Leah tells me.
Our conversation is interrupted by Sam, Sebastian, Alex, and Abigail hollering me over to where I cut wood blocks.
“Oh no,” I whisper to Elliot and Leah. They give me sympathetic smiles and pat me off into their direction.
“What did you guys do?” I hesitantly ask, afraid to hear the answer.
“Nothing! We just wanted to know if you want to have a wood chopping competition?” Abigail asks me, all of their eyes looking at me with anticipation.
“You guys realize that with me here it’s hardly a competition, right?” I say while rolling up my sleeves, getting ready to join them. “What happened to finding things for the display?”
“We already found our stuff! It’s already on the table,” Alex points to the overflowing table. I cringe just looking at the mess realizing I still have quite the narrowing down to do despite everyone trying to help.
“Alright let’s make this quick then so I can go look at what everyone has picked,” I clap my hands together and yank my axe from the stump I use as my base. The rest of the townsfolk around my farm begin to gather to form an audience to watch our little competition. We decided that whoever gets the most wood chopped in a minute wins.
“Who is going first?” I question the competitors. They all pointed to Sam who was the only one pointing at me. He frowns when he sees that everyone was pointing at him, but takes the axe from my hands reluctantly.
“If you INSIST,” he hisses. I run into my house and come flying back holding a hand held timer I use for cooking. I crank it so that it will start at 1 minute and count down from there. I hold it in place until Sam announces he is set to go. He quickly throws a chunk of wood on the chopping block and calls out for us to start the timer.
We all watch in amusement as Sam has an absolute struggle of a time trying to chop the wood. His aim is quite off and it requires a few hits to each block of wood for them to finally break. When the minute had passed, he managed to chop 2 and a half.
Abigail had volunteered to go next. I know she has a bit of experience with swinging swords, so it should be a bit easier for her to do this than poor Sam. She sets up her first wood block and I start the timer. She manages to surpass Sam after half a minute, but only by two in the end. In total, she chopped 5.
After Abigail, Alex took the axe and decided to go. Repeating the same thing as the other two, I set the timer, let him set up the block, and let it go when he was ready. Alex constantly works out, so I have high expectations for him. He doesn’t need to worry about the strength, just the aim and form of swinging. If he can land it okay, he should be fine. They really aren’t huge chunks of wood, so it’s not super tough to break them on the first swing. He did manage to get nearly all of his split on the first time except for a few he missed his aim on. In total, he chopped 7.
Sebastian was last to go before me. I gestured for him to go next since I know this will be a piece of cake for me. He better go before me or else he won’t want to even try. I have no idea what kind of experience Sebastian has with this, so it will be exciting to see. I’m going to guess he will do just under Abigail, but maybe he will surprise me and beat her score.
One last time, I do the whole routine and he goes on his way, chopping at the blocks. He was better than expected, but he didn’t beat Abigail’s score. He ended with a score of 4 and had just almost the 5th one. He didn’t fully break it in time.
Now it was my turn. I cockily strolled up to the chopping block after handing Sebastian the timer. I snagged the axe from where Sebastian left it and got settled in place. I gave him a slight nod and off I went.
Just as I was about to hit the 7th one, I saw someone entering my farm from the corner of my eye. I hesitated on bringing down the axe because I was too busy looking over. It was Haley who had made a wonderful appearance. I quickly dropped the axe and bolted over to her, leaving the competition without a second thought.
“Where are you going?!” I hear them shout after me. I quickly point to where Haley is, not breaking my stride.
“I guess I win then!” Alex flexes for the crowd, bowing dramatically as he gets a round of applause.
When I met up with Haley near the entrance of my farm, her eyes weren’t focused on me. She was busy looking past me to somewhere off in the distance. Nearly forgetting, I finally clue in to what she is finding so interesting.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 37
She had admitted it. Out loud. To a stranger. She said I was her girlfriend, I think to myself while I lay sprawled out on my bed.
"I'm her girlfriend..." I whisper out loud, trying to make it sound real. It is so hard to grasp that I'm officially dating one of the hottest, prettiest, most stunning girls I've ever met in my life.
I roll over in bed to lay on my side. I tuck my hands under my head and stare towards my bedroom window. I have no curtains, so it's a nice clear view outside. The darkness of the outdoors is only relieved by the shine of the full moon and many stars speckled across the sky. The whole night has been replaying in my head, over and over. I've never experienced such a magical night before or one as eventful.
Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian weren't mad that we ditched their performance and understood we did what we had to do. They were just glad Haley was alright and that I gave that guy a lesson.
Nearly the whole town is scared of me and doesn't want to get on my bad side now that they heard of what I did. But, of course, I would never punch anyone unless they were deserving of it. Lots of people aren't going to even think of disagreeing with Haley if I'm around now.
The next morning, I go to do my usual routine. Water the crops, check the chickens, then the mailbox. I don't have nearly as many crops now due to it being fallen and many of my summer crops died off. I never did plant some of this season's crops, but there are a few of the things I really wanted. Plus, I don't have a lot of room on this farm anymore due to me going a bit overboard with my project. It's extended way past the point I planned for it to be. I'm going to have to invite Haley over soon before autumn ends and it all dies off.
I rush inside to write a quick note that I'll leave in Haley's mailbox sooner than later, but when I check my own mailbox, there is yet another letter from Mayor Lewis.
Dear Danny,
One week from today, we are holding the Stardew Valley Fair in the town square!
It's the biggest event of the year, drawing people from all across the country to our humble town.
If you'd like, you can set up a grange display for the event. Just bring up to 9 items that best showcase your talents. You'll be judged on the quality and diversity of your display.
The fair starts at 9 AM... don't miss it!
-Mayor Lewis
"Are you fucking kidding me. I already had a hard enough time picking out one thing for the Luau, now I have to pick nine different things? My Yoba!" I shouted defeatedly, shaking my head in exasperation. I CANNOT catch a break in this town.
But then an idea pops into my head. Last time I had Elliot, Leah, Haley, and Emily help me pick out the items...this time I should get everyone involved. It will be a cute, fun hangout that gets everyone involved and helping if they'd like to.
I ran back inside to start writing invites to put in everyone's mailbox. I have no idea who I am meant to be competing with, so I'm going to be nice and write one for everyone to start. I don't really care if I give away what items I'll be displaying, I just want to have fun and host an event for everyone to participate in. It'll kind of be like my "Thank you for welcoming me into your town" kind of thing.
After each letter has been addressed and folded neatly, I burst out my front door and set off around the town to deliver each note to everyone. My route will start up at the mountains to Robin's place first, and then I'll make my way down to Haley and Emily's place last for no particular reason.
I was up early enough that nobody was awake yet for the majority of my journey. I was able to sneak around town with no one bothering me about what I was doing thankfully. I did take long enough though that by the time I reached Haley and Emily's house, Emily was awake and answered the door when I knocked. I knew that meant Haley should be up now as well, which means I planned my timing perfectly.
"Hey Danny. What brings you here?" Emily greets me.
"I was hoping to invite you and Haley to my place tomorrow to help me gather things to display for the fair. I Invited the whole town to make it a big event, but having you guys there would make it the best," I explain.
As I was explaining, I kept trying to look behind Emily to see Haley. However, she does not make an appearance.
"We would love to go! That is such a good idea to get everyone involved. I'm sure the town would love to do something like that at your farm..."
"But?" I could sense uncertainty in Emily's voice that made me think she was going to say something contradictory.
"But Haley doesn't seem to be feeling so well today. It's hard to say if she will be feeling better tomorrow. The... uhhhh...girlhood fairy paid her a visit this morning if you catch my drift."
"Ahhh I see. Can I come in and see her, or is she not in the mood?" I awkwardly twist my fingers around, hoping Emily will say yes.
Instead, Emily just opens the door wider to let me in. I excitedly bounce my way inside and to Haley's room where I knock gently on the door.
"Emily, I told you to leave me alone for the day!" I hear her shout through the door to me.
"Um... it's actually Danny," I responded.
"Oh! Come in!" Her voice chippers up.
I push open the door to find Haley cozied up in her blankets in bed. Only her head is peaking up above the covers to see me enter.
Being a little too rough, I, for some reason, decided it would be a good idea to dive into bed with her. That causes Haley to groan and roll away from me.
"Oh I'm sorry Haley. I didn't mean to bother you," I utter sadly. "I was just wondering if you want to come over tomorrow and help pick out some display things for me for the fair next week? I invited everyone in town to make it a whole shebang, but if you aren't feeling well enough I understand." I rub my hand along her arm and then wrap her up in an embrace, making sure to put pressure on her lower stomach to help with cramps. I was also hoping my warmth will be helpful as well.
She seems to relax slightly after I do that for her, but she doesn't roll over quite yet. "I'll see how I feel tomorrow," Haley says as she starts scratching my hand that's holding her stomach gently. She takes a deep breath and leans into me.
I let her lay against me for a few minutes before giving her a kiss on her head and getting up.
"I've gotta get everything set up for tomorrow, but I really wish I could stay," I pout as I head for the door. Haley opens up her blanket, revealing a very sheer nightgown. It makes me stop in my tracks for a minute, taking in every aspect of her fine body. I start to involuntarily bite my lip and smirk as I think about staying. I snap out of it as I remember why she isn't feeling well in the first place.
"Hey, that's not fair. As tempting as it is, I'm no vampire," I chuckled as Haley sighs and tucked the blanket back around her.
"I guess I'll let you go then. I'll see you later Danny," she blows me a little kiss and goes back to wallowing in pain.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley) (Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 36
⚠️Content Warning⚠️
The line to get on the bus was way longer than I thought it would be. When Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian said that a "few" others were coming... I didn't think it meant nearly the whole town. I'm having my doubts that this bus can even hold all of us. I'm also having my doubts about Pam driving, but driving the bus seems to be one of the few things she enjoys doing.
"You are going to sit with me, right?" Haley mutters as we take a few more steps closer to the bus entrance. The line is moving insanely slow to get on. I have a feeling Mayor Lewis is the one holding up the line.
"No, I'm going to sit with Clint," I joke. Haley looks at me with disgust then looks me up and down judgingly. We both break into a fit of giggles right after.
"Hopefully he doesn't try to sit with Em. Keep an eye on him for me, okay?" Haley asks.
"Sure thing, Hales," I pull Haley into an embrace and kiss the top of her head. She just melts into my arms without another word.
The line finally starts moving again, and this time we actually make it on. Haley had asked me to bring my backpack to carry all of her stuff in for her. I had to toss that onto the rack above the seats with all of the other bags from everyone. It was only meant to be a day trip, but people seemed to have gone packing crazy.
As I was lifting the bag onto the rack above the seats, I felt my shirt rise up a bit from my arms reaching up so high. Haley was already seated in the spot next to the window, but I could tell she wasn't looking outside just yet.
"Oops. Danny I forgot to put...this..." she frantically starts looking around. She looks at the many bracelets she has on his wrist and slips one off. "This bracelet! I forgot to put this bracelet into the backpack."
"But you were wearing it. Why do you want it in the bag?" I skeptically say. I know exactly why she wants it in the bag.
"I don't want to wear it anymore. It doesn't match my outfit anymore in this lighting." She held the bracelet out for me to snatch out of her hands. Sure enough, I raised my arms to pull the bag from the rack so I could put the bracelet in. Once I got the bracelet secure, I went to sit down but Haley stopped me again.
"I lied. I want it back please. It did kind of match my outfit. I think I just overreacted." Haley flashes me innocent puppy dog eyes that I just cannot turn down.
"Alright fine," I roll my eyes and go back up to the bag to get the bracelet back. I leave the bag up there this time to rummage through, keeping my arms up for a while, my shirt still lifting up as I reach.
"What a view," I hear Haley whisper from her spot. She is definitely not looking out the window.
"Here." I toss the bracelet to her but she misses it due to her flinching. It smacks against her chest and falls into her lap.
"I wasn't ready!"
"Should've been," I shrug nonchalantly.
The rest of the passengers have finally settled down, so Pam was able to get the show on the road. Sam had the radio going, so everyone was able to start getting hyped for the big gig.
                                                🌻 🌻 🌻
The bus ride ended up being a couple of hours. It was longer than the train ride here due to traffic, but it was long enough that I was able to take a little nap. I woke up due to a Pam speeding over a pothole, causing the bus to jostle around aggressively.
"Morning sleepy head. We are almost there," Haley murmured to me as she filed her nails. When I look around after opening my eyes, I see that my head slid down to rest on her shoulder in my sleep.
Looking out the window, I can see all of the tall, skyscraper buildings of the big city. I don't miss this view even for a second. I shift my focus to Haley sitting in front of the window instead. She was too busy filing her nails still to look at me, but I just kept staring at her. That was until the bus lurched to a stop at our destination.
Sam begins chatting hysterically, waving his hands upwards to motion to the passengers to cheer and chant with him. I'm the first to jump up and start chanting along. Soon the whole bus erupted into chaos. Poor Abigail is so nervous that I can see her bent over, holding a plastic bag to her mouth.
Sam and Sebastian are the first to get off the bus to get their gear with Abigail hobbling behind trying to keep up. Everyone bids them good luck as they leave the bus.
"We need to get a good spot at the front! Grab the bag and let's hurry!" Haley makes no move to get up and waits for me to grab the bag from above us.
"You don't seem in that much of a hurry," I roll my eyes and quickly pull the bag down. After that was when she finally made a move to rush off the bus. The two of us shimmy our way down the bus aisle to the door to hop out. I scurry down the steps first and turn to hold Haley's hand as she gently steps down each one sideways in her heels.
"You're gonna get real sick of standing those," I point out.
"I'm actually a pro at wearing heels thank you very much. I can even run in them if I have to," she huffs as we speed walk to the area where the small concert is happening. There are a few people already here, but our town folk take up most of the space alone. It's hard to say if many others will show up from the city or not.
As I take in the few other people from the city that are here, I realize I'm severely underdressed for the occasion like usual. My overalls, cowboy hat and t-shirt don't really match the vibe very well, but I didn't have anything else. I made sure to wear a black t-shirt though so that kind of helped. Haley even out did me despite this not being her typical scene. She had a pink plaid mini skirt on, with a black, off-the-shoulder, blouse on. The weather hasn't quite cooled down yet despite it being fall now. We were also in a closed-in area outside that has buildings blocking the wind. The heat from all the bodies packed around will surely bring the temperature up as well.
One of the bands was just getting ready to perform as the last few stragglers came waltzing in at the last minute. Sam, Sebastian, and Abigail were going to be one of the last few groups to perform for the night, but it will still be nice to listen to others play as well.
The concert begins, and everyone starts going wild in the crowd. I have people screaming by my ear, and bumping into me constantly. I have my arm tightly wrapped around Haley, clinging on to her for dear life. We are right at the barricades in front of the stage, so I also had one hand holding onto one of the poles.
It took me a few performances to finally get used to the craziness, but by the third performance I was feeling more psyched. That was until some guy situated himself on the other side of Haley. It would've been okay if it weren't for him constantly looking over at her. I didn't point it out just yet, but I kept my eye on him.
As the performance of this band ended, that's when this guy decided to make his move. Unfortunately, he was a conventionally attractive man that many girls would be swooned by. He seems to know he is good looking too and that fuels his ego.
"Hey," He says as he leans over to Haley. Haley's head snaps his way in shock.
"Oh...h-hi?" I hear her stutter. I don't step into the conversation just yet. Instead I fold my arms and rest them on the barricade in front of me
"It's a pretty good turn out, eh?" He examines the large crowd behind us but turns his gaze back on Haley.
"Yeah. It's pretty busy that's for sure," she gives him a tight lip smile as she also had just examined the crowd.
"It's lucky so many people showed up. It was my band's first performance today so we were happy we had such an audience. We were the second band that played," he explains.
"Oh yeah. I recognize you now. That's pretty cool," Haley politely responds.
"I see you came here with your friend?" He points over Haley's shoulder to me, still leaning on the barricade. Haley turns her head to look at me with an unreadable expression. I don't say anything and raise my eyebrow in question.
Their conversation was interrupted by Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian taking the stage for their performance. Of course, Sam had to do a really loud entrance that made the crowd erupt into a frenzy. The guy's attention turned to the stage, but Haley was still staring at me with her weird expression. I stayed staring at her with a dull look on my face, only breaking eye contact to look at the stage.
It was really hard to enjoy the band's performance now, and I feel really guilty that I'm not enjoying it like I should. But I can't help thinking about what Haley would have answered if they didn't get interrupted.
The whole time, I keep looking over at the two of them. He has been scooching closer and closer to her every second. One more step and his arm would be touching hers. She has been angling her upper body closer and closer to me and away from him, but not stepping completely over. I shake my head and turn back to the stage in distraught.
That was until I heard Haley gasp, even over every speaker right by us. From the corner of my eye I saw her stiffen up as well. Curiously, I looked over to her and her eyes were screaming a look of "help". Investigating farther, I look over at the guy. His hand is extended out to Haley, but resting somewhere it shouldn't be. Right. On. Her. Ass.
Boldly, he even slides his hand down her ass and to the hem of her skirt where he moves his hand under. My eyes widen in horror and my brain goes into autopilot.
I grab Haley by the waist and move her behind me out of my way because the next move is not going to be a pretty one. Without thinking, I swing my fist at the guy and feel it connect to somewhere on his face. It was all such a blur that I had no idea what I was doing until after it happened.
After retracting my fist away, I take a second to analyze where I hit him. From the looks of things, his cheek is already bruising, as well as a few drops of blood escape his nose.
Haley steps back in front of me to face the guy who is currently cradling his injured face in his palm. He looks at her angrily but she brings out the sass.
"She's my girlfriend you creepy, ignorant fuck. Don't you DARE touch another woman like that again," she points her sharp, pointy finger nail directly in his face then switches to her middle finger. She makes flipping someone off look so elegant with her cute, done up nails.
I started to notice we had created quite a stir in the crowd and that security was starting to come in our direction. I take Haley by her hand and the two of us wave to the stage to Sam, Sebastian, and Abigail. We give them a loud, encouraging shout and hop over the barricades. I have to help Haley though by lifting her over, but I climb over just fine. We start taking off across the concert field just as the band's song gets to the climatic part of the chorus. It gives Haley and I such a thrill as we run away from the scene, ditching the security guards trying to keep after us.
As we continue to book it back to the bus, Haley ends up kicking her heels off and starts carrying them in her hands. I silently laugh in my head as I remember our previous conversation about her in heels.
When I turn back, I see the security guards have disappeared and are no longer chasing us. When we get back to the bus, I pry the doors open so we can pile inside. Unsurprisingly, Pam forgot to lock the door.
I shut the bus door behind us and immediately brought my attention to Haley, breathlessly pulling her in for a steamy kiss. She tosses her shoes away and pushes her body up against mine, accepting my kiss.
We stumble through the bus, not breaking our lips apart. The sky has darkened since we had first arrived, so we only have the light of the moon shining in through the bus windows.
We keep having to catch our breath every so often due to not having any to begin with from the run. We stumble all the way to the back seats where they are bigger and wider. She lays back across a few of the seats with me hovering over top of her.
"That was so hot," she moans as I kiss down her neck.
"I thought you said you can run in heels," I mutter as I take her blouse off and toss it over the seat in front of us.
"Grass is a different story. That's harder to run on," she replies breathlessly as I start kissing her breasts. I make my way down to her lower half where I move her skirt up. Disgustingly, I'm knee deep on the floor of the bus like a hooligan. But I don't think anything of it since I was so wrapped up in the moment as well as Haley's legs.
I slide her panties down and keep them hung around one on her ankles so they don't get lost. I grip her thighs tightly with my hands and bring my tongue up to meet her waterfall of excitement. I must've really got her going.
She takes my hat off my head so it's not in my way and puts it on her own head so we also don't lose it. She runs her hands through my hair and gasps in pleasure. I feel her legs shake and tremble as they continue to stay wrapped around me. We hear the band continue to play off in the distance as it is just that loud. It's more of a slower song now than the one we ran off to.
I look up and see that Haley has her head thrown back and now has a hand braced on the seat in front of us and one on the back window of the bus. She is moaning unapologetically loud as no one would be able to hear us.
Her legs extend out behind me and her moan turns to more of a gasp. I grip her thighs tighter and keep at the same pace, not wanting to ruin her moment. Her hand slides down the back window as she loses control of her body. Butterflies erupt in my stomach as I realize how much she is enjoying this. She quickly recovers from her big finish and pulls me up onto the seat back over top of her. She brings my lips down to hers to continue where we left off.
"You're turn," she moans between kisses.
"Oh but you'll get your pretty little knees dirty. Here, put my shirt under you," I whip my shirt off over my head and give it to her. She breaks away from me and spreads my shirt out on the bus floor.
As if sharing the same brain, we both freeze and look at one another. She looks down at what I'm wearing and we burst into laughter. Overalls were not the move for this situation, but how was I supposed to know this was going to happen?
"Hold on a minute," I start undoing all the buckles and straps so I can slide them down. I kick them down my legs and onto the floor in front of the seat. I give her a wink and she pushes my legs apart so she can get to work. It's kind of an awkward angle for me to lay as my head is kind of resting up against the side window. My one leg hangs off the side of the seat while the other is pressed right up against the back of the seat and Haley's shoulder. It's a bit of a tight squeeze but I soon tune it out as my thoughts go elsewhere.
I forgot to take my hat back so she continues to wear it as she goes down on me. I don't bother taking it back since it looks so good on her. I feel the pressure start to build up as she is doing such a good job with her tongue. A moan escapes my lips and I feel her moan against me. My legs tense up at that sudden vibration and my mouth falls open.
"I'm almost there, Haley," I breathe out as I grip my hands in her hair. She moans again and that is my breaking point. My legs start trembling and I roll my head against the window while I bite my lip.
Just as I finish, out of the corner of my eye, I see a whole group of people through the window walking up to the bus. It was the town people coming back from the concert. I didn't even realize the music had stopped playing a while ago.
"Haley, get my stuff!" I whisper loudly. We frantically gather up our clothing and throw it back on. It takes what feels like hours to get my damn overalls back on but I get it just in time. We bump into each other as we try to find a way to act casual and unsuspicious. She jumps into a seat three in front of me and I'm left leaning against one of the backs of a seat as the first person gets on the bus.
"I found them..." Robin says as she makes awkward eye contact with me. I give her a thumbs up and a weird smile. Pam gets on behind Robin and sits in her driver's seat. She turns the bus on, causing all the lights of the bus to flicker on. Haley's shirt is on backwards, her skirt is twisted, and she was still wearing my hat. My shirt is covered in dust and dirt, and one of my overall buckles is loose while the other is undone. Both of our faces were red and my legs were still subtly shaking.
I shoot finger guns at Robin and shyly sit down in the seat next to Haley. Everyone else starts piling onto the bus now, giving us knowing looks. We both look out the window, avoiding eye contact with people, stifling our laughter.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 35
Sweating my ass off, I go to take a seat on one of the chairs pushed off to the side. Haley joins me and takes a seat across from me. It doesn’t take long for Leah to waltz over .
“Nuh uh you’re coming with us,” Leah says as she yanks Haley and I up and over to the rest of them in the arcade.
“But I need to rest my leeegggsss,” I groaned.
“And I need to rest with her!” Haley says firmly, causing Leah to stop in her tracks and give Haley a confused look.
“You barely did anything?” Leah questions. Haley just shrugs.
Shane is still waving around his stack of money when the three of us make our way to the arcade. They all have the most devious smirks on their faces making it obvious they are all going to blurt out a million things at once.
“Everybody hold your horses. Don’t all blurt something out at me at once. Go one at a time,” I hold my palms out to all of them to make sure they follow directions. Almost too obediently, they all decide to raise their hands to signal they have something to say.
“What is this? Kindergarten?” I can’t help but squint my eyes at them, unsure of how to go about this method. However, Sam is raising his hand so aggressively that I can hear him grunting and his face is going red. He looks as if he will explode.
“Sam?’ I motion for him to speak and finally let him spit out whatever he has to say.
“WHO WAS THE BOTTOM?” He blurts out rapidly. This causes everyone to look at him with a raised eyebrow.
“Are you stupid? Look at them!” Sebastian gestures his hand to where Haley and I were standing. I was standing with my thumbs hooked into the pockets of my jeans, with a playful smirk on my face. Haley was standing with her hands behind her back, cheeks pink as ever. When I noticed everyone was stereotyping us, I quickly let go of my jean pockets and folded my arms. I realized this stance was not much better, so then I quickly adjusted so that I was also holding my hands behind my back.
“That's like asking us who the bottom is, Sam,” Sebastian rolls his eyes but lovingly pats Sam’s knee.
“Anything to say, Haley?” I tilt my head her way, pushing her to answer the question.
The group's mouths all dropped, inferring what I had meant with the question. They then started whooping and hollering excitedly to further embarrass her.
“WAY TO GO HALES!” Alex chants.
Haley shyly does a few shallow bows to everyone as if she was finishing a performance. I can’t help but laugh at how cute she looks right now.
“Don’t be fooled though…I was first. She just gained confidence the next morning or something.” I tap my boot against the top of her shoe teasingly.
“That’s ALL you guys get to know. No more questions,” Haley sticks her finger out accusingly at everyone. A collective “aww” escapes from everyone’s mouth.
“Nosey freaks,” Haley hisses.
Sensing she is starting to get moody, I decide it's time for us to leave. I take Haley by the shoulders and waddle us towards the exit. I make sure to give everyone a friendly wave so they know I’m not upset, but Shane decides to “kick the horse while it's down”.
“Hey I forgot to say… Thanks for being horny!” He shouts as we leave, fanning himself with the money he won. Haley grumpily shoots him a middle finger without even turning to face him. I feel my face heat up and I let out an awkward laugh.
Suddenly, I hear hurried footsteps approaching behind Haley and I. We turn around to see what's going on and see that Sam, Sebastian, and Abigail are coming to us.
“We were wondering if-” Abigail begins before getting cut off by Sam.
“-If you guys want to come watch us perform our gig in Zuzu city?” Sam butts in. Abigail just sighs
“I remembered I mentioned it before, but we thought we’d ask again since it’s coming up soon. It’ll be next week,” Sebastian adds.
“We are going by bus so there will be a few others from town coming too,” Abigail finally gets to say.
I look to Haley to judge how she is feeling about the situation. She has kind of lightened up as she considers the offer.
“We will see you there,” she nods her head firmly, deciding on my answer for me. I don’t mind since I was already considering saying yes.
“That’s awesome bro!” Sam holds both hands up in the air to Haley. She excitedly smacks her both hands against his for a giant high five.
“I’m so excited! We are going to have such a crowd!” Abigail wraps her arms around the two boys' necks and pulls them in.  Both of them wince at the weird angle she brought them into.
“I haven’t been back to the city since I got here. It’s going to be strange to be back into the crazy busy, dirty, lame city. I’ve gotten so used to this place,” I start to reminisce on my time in the city, but it still isn’t enough to make me go back there.
“Yeah you have me here. Why would you WANT to go back?” Haley throws her hand on her hip sassily.
“You’re right. How could I EVER leave my Haley!” I dramatically put the back of my hand on my forehead and put the other one to my heart.
“We’re gonna go back over there now…” Abigail cringes while slowly walking away with Sebastian and Sam.
“Your Haley..?” Haley says to me, looking up at me with twinkling eyes.
“Of course. Unless you are someone else’s?” I exaggeratedly pout my bottom lip and wiped a fake tear away.
“No no! I just like to hear you say that…” she turns away and starts sashaying to the door, hips swaying with each walk. Her bad mood had left quickly that's for sure.

Bro channeled his inner Sam from within. 💪Guess he was just that excited about being right 😭
One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 34
For some reason on my walk to the saloon, I saw nobody. There was nobody walking around, nobody doing yard work, nobody running errands. I know it is pretty late out, but people are usually still out and about. It’s giving me a really weird vibe.
Today is also the first day of fall! I had a lot of crops to clear out for the new season, but thankfully my project is still intact. I don’t know what I’m waiting for at this point… it’s really not a huge thing.
I kick a pebble from my path as I venture closer to the saloon. Still no sign of anyone. But as I get closer and closer to the building, I start to hear really…really… loud country music coming from inside. My curiosity is immediately in full gear, so I rush the rest of the way.
Bursting through the door of the Stardrop Saloon, I couldn’t even hear the bell over the sound of the jukebox at full blast. All the tables have been pushed aside creating what seems to be a dance floor. To my surprise, the dance floor was completely full with everyone dancing in rhythm to one another. Bodies were flying and twirling all around so quickly that I couldn’t keep up. What I really noticed was everyone changing partners every couple of minutes.
“A fucking hoe down?” I mumble in exasperation. I already had a tough time keeping up at the Flower Dance and that required no skill. This is another level for me.
People started noticing I was looming by the door and tried waving me over. First Gus, then Marnie, then Lewis, then what felt like the rest of the town. I had to wave off so many people in embarrassment.
I thought I was safe until Leah came swirling like a tornado my way. I couldn’t even object before she yanked my arm and tossed me into the mix of bodies on the dance floor. My arms connected with someone’s immediately and they swung me around to the beat of the music. When there was a pause in the dance, I could finally see who I landed with.
“Hey Danny,” Alex greeted me as we did a weird side step dance move while he held my hand up. I tried my very hardest to concentrate on his foot work so I could keep up.
“What’s all this about?” I question loudly over the sound of the hand claps echoing through the room.
“Not too sure to be honest. People kind of showed up and then Gus turned the jukebox up and it summoned the rest of the town in a weird, creepy way. It felt like being lured by a siren call,” Alex joked.
“How are you doing?” he twirls me around with his hand holding mine above my head. It’s really weird to be dancing with a dude, especially since we are both bulky, stone, statues.
“If you mean about Taylor and all that, I’m doing well. It’s going well. We might even officially put a label on our situation eventually,” we slide to the left a little awkwardly and my boot gets caught in a splitter on the floor board. I have to pry it away.
“That’s really good news. I’m glad to hear,” I give him a sincere smile and he gives me one in return.
“So you and Haley..? How is that going?” I see his eyebrows raise from the corner of my eye since the dance is everyone facing forwards in a line dance style now.
“It’s going better than great.” I feel my face heat up as I recap the previous night. Just as Haley suspected, I can tell Alex somehow figured out what happened because his face lit up as his jaw dropped. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, I was yanked away into someone else's arms.
“Look at you go! You are a natural!” Marnie sings as I spin her around. Somehow I fell right into the flow of the dance now. I’m not really thinking about it too much.
“It took some concentration at first, but I am slowly getting the hang of it,” I shrug.
“How are your chickens doing? Are you ready for some cows in a barn yet?” Marnie laughs. Once again, the clapping nearly drowns out our conversation.
“They’re growing so fast. I miss them as little chicks already. I’m nearly ready for some cows though. I can’t wait.”
“What are their names again? I have such a bad memory these days.”
I trip a little in the middle of the side step I was doing as I think of the names. On their own, they sound like normal chicken names… but together there is a bit of a pattern.
“Well… there is Coconut…Pinkie…Fruit Cup… and… Sunflower.”
“Oh those are such lovely names! I just know you take great care of those little rascals,” Marnie exclaims. “Time for another partner swap!”
Marnie must do this a lot, because a second after, I was pulled into the crowd by someone else for another round of the dance.
“Look at those hips move, girl!” Leah hollers as she holds my hips and starts rocking them back and forth a bit more than I was already doing.
“They ain’t even moving that much. You’re doing that,” I chuckle. I’m really working up a sweat at this point. This dancing is no joke.
“I bet Haley’s hips have been moving this much,” Leah pokes my side causing me to recoil, then lets go of my hips to line dance to the next part of the song.
“Maybe more,” a smirk forms on my lips and I give Leah a telling look. That causes her to clue in immediately. Just like Alex, she was also cut off by me getting pulled away before she could say anything.
“How have your injuries been? Have you been taking care of them? How is your head?” Harvey bombards me with questions right off the bat.
“No complaints yet…” I jokingly answered.
“What?”
“Never mind.”
“So you are doing good?” He asks again. We hesitate a moment in the dance as we kind of get confused about who twirls who around which ultimately ends with me twirling Harvey.
“I have been taking care of myself. Don’t worry, doctor,” I flash him a charming smile. Harvey’s face distorts into an unreadable expression, and his cheeks go slightly pink. It throws me off and makes me get flustered. I trip over my own foot for a second but quickly regain balance. I guess I just have that effect on people..?
“C’mere,” Elliot pulls me away from Harvey so I can now be his dance partner. I didn’t even realize it was time to switch already. Each dance sequence feels like it's getting quicker and quicker. But I think I’m just getting used to it.
“That was so weird. I think I just made Harvey blush?” I say with uncertainty.
“I don’t think you know how attractive you are. Don’t cut yourself short,” Elliot says firmly.
“Well I don’t know about THAT,” I roll my eyes as I click my heels and toes against the ground to the beat.
“You literally made Haley rethink her sexuality,” Elliot points out. We shimmy past one another with our knuckles placed on our hips. I tip my hat down at him as we pass by each other.
“See. Right there. You’re attractive whether you agree or not. I’m not into you, but I see how you got Haley’s panties in a twist-” Elliot's sentence gets cut short as Leah spins by us and whispers into his ear. He listens intently, but his eyes widen and both of them look my way directly after. Leah gets swung back away from us by her dance partner, Caroline. Elliot is left gawking like an idiot as everyone changes dance partners again.
My next dance partner turned out to be Pierre. He was a bit off beat and that caused me to be thrown off a bit.
“I don’t know why I keep trying to do these dances. I’m getting too old for this,” he sighs.
“What are you talking about? You’re still plenty young!” I nudge his shoulder, trying to get his spirits up.
“Caroline has so much energy and a free spirit. I wish I could keep up with her and her hobbies.”
“I’m sure you guys have some kind of things you do together?”
“Yeah I guess we do. I just feel like she doesn’t like me as much anymore.”
“Why don’t you get her a bouquet to let her know how much you still love her? I’m sure she’d love that.”
“Good idea, Danny. Haley is a lucky girl.” And with that he gives me a wink and the dance is already over for this partner rotation.
I try to make eye contact with someone in the crowd so I know where I’m getting dragged to next. All I can see is an ocean of dancing people, no one person is looking back at me. Suddenly I feel my arm get tugged into the next dance.
“You looked like a lost puppy,” Maru giggles as we start clapping.
“I feel like one. I just keep getting whipped around from person to person. I can’t keep up,” I huff as I wipe a drip of sweat from my forehead.
“It's nearly over. Just a few more partner swaps!”
“I bet it will feel like forever. I’m going to sleep good tonight though that’s for sure.”
“Well it’s already time to switch! Good luck out there!” Maru lets go of my hand and I’m washed back into the crowd.
Instead of being spun, swung, or twirled away by someone, I find myself line dancing beside good old, energetic Sam. He looks over at me when he notices I picked my pace up to match his. I see his eyes narrow and he starts getting more aggressive with his dancing. The beat starts picking up in the song, and the two of us start “dance battling” each other. We are the only two paying attention to our intense dancing. We even join hands at some point and act like we are actually dance partners, but really we were competing.
We keep that up for the entire round, not speaking to each other once. I did look away a few times to gaze around at everyone else having fun. I also notice Leah and Elliot whispering to people from our group here and there. They are such gossips.
Sam and I’s competition really took the last wind out of me. I’m starting to get absolutely pooped. Sam dances his way into the wave of bodies out of my sight, and I’m left dizzy, brain spinning in circles. I feel my body slowly start walking me off course, causing me to bump into someone.
“Oh my Yoba. Willy!?” I say as I crash into Willy’s open arms. He must’ve been expecting me to lose my senses and stumble around. I rarely get to talk to Willy. He likes to spend time out at the pier and in his store. I haven’t really been focused on fishing or anything lately so it’s been a while.
“Ahoy lass! How ye been?” His grumbly sounding voice and gruff appearance always makes people afraid of him. But he is one of the sweetest people I’ve met.
“Living the dream. How ‘bout you?” Willy twirls me around, more gracefully than anyone else had tonight.
“Still tryin’ to keep the fishing business running. Some may say I'm trying to keep it afloat!” he starts chuckling at his own pun. I joined in on the laughter as it was a good pun.
“You been having any luck in these local waters? You were a great angler there at the beginning,” Willy asks.
“I’ve been a bit... preoccupied,” I say sheepishly. “I promise I’ll try to get out there again soon.” I recognize the vibe in the air that means it is time to change partners. Willy and I tip our hats to one another and spin away.
This time, I’m dragged into a dance with Penny. Although, It was more like we bumped into each other and just went with it.
“Penny! Hi!” We grasp hands and hold them out to the side. My other hand is lightly holding her waist while hers is just kind of resting on my shoulder. We bounce to the music, sticking our feet out every which way, trying to keep in sync with everyone else.
“Hi Danny!” You are a great dancer!” she admired my footwork for a minute but then dance required us to spin next.
“Meh, this part is easy work. I get so lost when the line dance part comes up. I think I’ve tripped like three times during that bit.”
“It took me years to learn how to line dance. We haven’t even gotten to the fastest song yet. That’ll throw you off for sure. I still get lost during it,” she laughs.
“How is the teaching going? Are the rascals behaving for you?”
“Jas and Vincent are truly great kids. I love teaching them. Sometimes they are a handful but I can take it.”
“You are such a kind person for doing that for them. Everyone is so thankful for all that you do.”
“Awww thank you. It’s something I’m really interested in doing for the rest of my life. It would be nice working with pristine, good condition textbooks. The ones we have here are very rickety, old things. They basically fall apart in your hands.”
Before I could respond, I felt someone slide their hands up my arms, over my biceps, to my shoulders. Penny gives me a smirk as she can see who has walked up behind me. She gives me a slight nod and dances away.
The hands on my shoulders start twisting me around so that we are face to face.
“I know those hands anywhere,” I whisper to Haley. She had finally arrived at the saloon, making me have to suffer all this dancing by myself until now.
“I’m sure you do,” she seductively whispers back, wrapping her arms around my neck. I tuck mine in around her waist, holding her close. Suddenly the synchronized dancing doesn’t have my attention anymore.
Before we could even settle into a nice, slow dance pace, she flashes me a bright grin and picks up into the line dance choreography. I let out a sigh, but excitedly went to join her as her partner.
“Isn’t this fun!” she shouts over the loud music. We are holding hands, bobbing in and out as well as doing some fancy footwork.
“You’re just lucky I decided to join in with you. I’ve been dancing this for a really long time. I was starting to feel exhausted there before you came in.”
“You saved just enough energy for me?” She says as I twirl her around.
“Of course I did. I have to have at least one dance with the pretty misses,” her face reddens and she suddenly becomes shy. “What’s the matter, did I embarrass you?” I pinch her already red cheek, making her face go a shade darker.
“I’m just happy you saved a dance for me. I was hoping you did.”
“Of course! Who do you think I am?”
“Which, does anyone know about…” she waves a finger between her and I as we start line dancing again.
“Only like a few. I didn’t tell EVERYONE.”
We continue line dancing side by side, only really paying attention to what the other is doing. I sometimes take her hips from behind and dance behind her, but only once and a while. I can tell the end of the dance is coming up, so I take Haley and dip her to the ground. Just as I pull her back up, the song abruptly stops. The two of us are frozen, gazing into each other's eyes.
Everything is immediately snapped back into reality when we hear Shane shout from across the room.
“I WAS RIGHT!” He starts waving a stack of money our way, with our entire group standing behind him, staring at us. Some still had money in their hand, waiting to pass to Shane.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 33: Back to Danny's POV
“I assume you guys will be going to the saloon tonight?” Emily says, giving us a smirk.
I don’t know how she knew so fast what had happened between Haley and I. When we walked in Emily immediately shouted in shock. She hasn’t stopped evilly grinning either, I don’t know what’s up with that.
“Yeah…I’d say so…” I give Emily a skeptical look then turn to look at Haley. Haley just shrugs at me.
“Good because everyone will want to know. I heard them make bets the other day, so they’ll be happy to know they were right,” Emily replies in a matter of fact tone. That makes me cringe since Haley did not know that everyone had thought we’d have sex in less than a week. I sheepishly turn to give Haley a weary smile. She just raises her eyebrow and crosses her arms.
“I’m not gonna tell them anything. That ain’t their business.”
“Oh honey, it’s written all over your faces,” Emily gestures a finger in a circle at Haley and I. “They’re gonna know.”
“I doubt it,” I reply while rocking a kitchen chair back and forth. It suddenly loses its balance and tumbles out of my hand. The three of us flinch at the loud bang of it hitting the floor.
“You’re right. They’ll have absolutely no idea,” Emily retorts sarcastically.
“Danny, dear, don’t you have chickens to feed?” Haley takes me by the shoulder and leads me to the front door. As soon as we are out of view from Emily, Haley leans in to whisper to me.
“Emily is right. They’re gonna know. I don’t care if anyone knows at this point though, it was bound to happen. They’d find out eventually,” she whispers as she opens the front door.
“How will they know?” I demand, “I don’t get it!”
“You better get home to your chickens,” Haley kisses me on the cheek. I don’t take that so casually because I decide to go for a kiss on the lips as well. I brace one hand against the door frame and wrap my other hand around her waist, pulling her closer. We remain there for a good minute, basically making out until someone shouts our way from outside.
“YO!” Sam bounces excitedly while holding his skateboard under his arm. Haley pokes around me to look at him, while I just turn my head around.
“Are you creaming your pants over this or something?” Haley sasses. That causes me to turn my head away and stifle a laugh.
“I’m not, but you guys sure seem like you are about to,” Sam tosses his skateboard onto the ground and steps onto it. He winds up for a second, then does a simple kickflip.
“At least Danny can make that happen. Might want to talk to Sebastian if you are resorting to watching two girls kiss,” Haley tosses her hand on her hip, stepping her way around me. My jaw is on the floor.
“Boooo,” Sam yells back. “Not my fault you guys are standing in your doorway and I happened to walk by. Take it inside or something. And for your information, I’m just an always happy person.” He gives us an accusing point of his finger and frowns. After that, he does another little jump on his skateboard and speeds away. We watch as he tries to trick jump onto the side of a planter with the skateboard, but he falls. Poor guy.
“No shit they’ll know if you keep talking like that,” I point out, taking her by the waist and pulling her back in front of me.
“They’ll know before I even get to say anything. Trust me.”
“If you say so. I’ll hold you up on that tonight then.”
“Do you mind saving me a seat when you get to the saloon? I’ll be running late. I have lots of stuff to-...” Haley begins. She soon stops when she realizes what I was doing.
After Haley had said the first sentence, I started pointing my finger at my face and giving her a smirk. She started blushing intensely and had to turn away.
“I set myself up for that…” she mumbles.
“You sure did. I’ll save two seats for you, how ‘bout that?”
“You need to leave before I bring you back to my room,” Haley gives me a playful nudge.
“Is that supposed to be a punishment?” I begin to take a few steps back from the door to leave.
“You might want to do up the 3 buttons left undone on your flannel…” Haley smirks and leans against the door frame. Sure enough, there were 3 buttons I had missed when doing up my shirt this morning.
“I was distracted…”
Haley pats my arm and goes to close the door. She blows me a quick kiss just before the door fully shuts. I stand there, swooning like an idiot, for a quick moment. Sam has managed to kickflip his way back my way.
“Love birds,” Sam mutters as he scoots past me on his skateboard. “We all knew you guys would get together.”
“The ladies dig me, Sam. What can I say?” I obnoxiously flex my arms, showing off.
“If I was a girl. I would dig you. I see where Haley is coming from. But I am a boy and into Sebastian.”
My face contorts into a face of confusion, unsure of what to think of Sam’s comment. “Um… thank you?”
“No prob,” Sam flashes me a peace sign and zooms off once again, singing some kind of song I’ve never heard of.
Guess I’ll have to start thinking of what to say tonight at the saloon…

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 32: Haley's POV
⚠️Content Warning⚠️
To my delight, I awakened in the early morning with the person I had just shared quite a night with still by my side. I do feel fairly guilty for not returning the favor for Danny, but she had rocked my world so intensely that I couldn’t even register what had happened.
I also was feeling a little nervous with everything too, considering it was my first time getting down and dirty with a girl. I really don’t want to embarrass myself, or make myself a fool. Being bad at things on the first try makes me lose my mind too, so I can either be phenomenal or nothing at all. Little dramatic on my part, but I don’t want Danny to laugh at me or pity me.
She really isn’t that kind of person though, she wouldn’t laugh at me or make fun of me. I know she would be patient with me and let me take my time figuring things out, but I don’t want to disappoint her. Danny really set the bar high with her performance last night.
Just as I was about to sit up in bed, I looked down and noticed Danny’s arm strewn across my stomach. Her hand was caressing the side of my hip ever so gently in her sleep. She was sleeping, stomach down, head turned away from me with the blankets weirdly entwined with her legs. She is a really warm bodied person, so I can see how the blankets got kicked down to our legs like that. I would’ve been cold all night if it wasn’t for her body heat.
I watch as Danny’s bare back rises and falls slowly with each deep breath she takes in her sleep. She was truly okay with sleeping naked last night, which I really didn’t mind. It is a nice treat to wake up to this morning, that's for sure.
Suddenly, as if sensing I was awake, Danny rolls over onto her back with a groan. She stretches her arms above her head and grabs onto the headboard. At this moment, all other thoughts have escaped my brain and my heart flutters in my chest.
“Haley,” Danny groans in another attempt to stretch, this time her legs. “Are you up?”
“Mhmm,” I sing back, soaking up her beautiful body. I try to be polite, but my eyes just keep finding their way to her chest.
“I did end up having a dream where this ended up coming off.” As she said that, she tugged at my nightgown. Danny had rolled onto her side now to look at me, propping her head up with her hand.
“Oh, did you?” I seductively respond, propping myself up as well so we are face to face. She wraps her other arm around my waist and pulls me closer, pressing our bodies together tightly.
“Do you always look this pretty when you first wake up?” Danny whispers.
“I could say the same to you…” I feel my cheeks heat up and look away sheepishly. She brings my gaze back to her by taking my chin in her hand. She softly kisses my lips, which I quickly return.
What starts off as a wholesome moment, quickly escalates to a continuation from the night before. Our lips move in perfect sync with one another, sometimes slipping a tongue into the mix here and there. I find myself rolling on top of Danny so that I’m straddling her hips. She effortlessly slips my nightgown off and hangs it up on the post of the headboard. She does a double take when she notices her cowboy hat hung up on the same post.
“Hey, there’s my hat,” she exclaims as she reaches over and places it atop of her head. She just got significantly sexier with the hat.
“Oh my Yoba…” I mutter, feeling my underwear getting a little soaked. And so early in the morning, how dare she.
I feel her grab onto my hips and flip me around so that I’m now under her. She grabs onto the headboard with one hand and keeps the other wrapped around my waist.
“Ah ah ah,” I managed to get out between kisses.
“What’s wrong?” Danny pulls back worriedly.
“You had your time to shine last night. It’s my turn,” With my movement, I slowly guide us into switching positions so that I’m back over her.
“Are you sure you are comfortable with that?” Danny sighs, biting her lip.
“Well when you make that face at me. I’ll do anything for you,” I reply, nipping at her neck. She tilts her head back and untenses her body, putting her arms behind her head. She still has her darn hat on too.
I start to venture down her body the same way she did to me last night. I place kisses all over her body, focusing mostly on her chest. Soon after I travel down to just above the hem of her panties and nip at her skin around there. Taking a deep breath, I go to slip my hand under the waistband. But just before I do, I notice my long, manicured nails. I hesitantly cringe at the thought of using my wicked long nails to pleasure Danny, but then get a bold idea.
I made the decision so fast, Danny didn't even realize I had hesitated. Instead of slipping my hands down the front of her waistband, I slip them down the sides and tug her underwear off. I gently graze my fingernail along the inside of her thighs, giving her goosebumps. My thumb finds its way to her clit and I rub in circles. She is soaking wet at my touch, making my stomach flip in excitement.
I lower my head down to between her legs and push her legs further apart so I can start using my mouth.
“Oh Haley…” Danny moans, arching her back as my tongue makes contact with her clit. “I didn’t expect you to do that…”
I don’t reply since I was a bit busy, but I bring one hand up and flash my nails at her as my only explanation.
I feel her legs start to quiver and shake but I hold them down, not letting her squirm away from me. I’ve never felt so dominant in a relationship before. Even between Danny and I, she is usually the one doing the work so this is a nice change.
“You are doing so well,” Danny moans to me, making my heart skip a beat. I watch her hand fly up and grab onto her hat as she arches her back again. Her body starts to shutter, and I feel her start pulsing against my tongue. She lets out a moan, but I hear her try to hold back anymore from escaping. She is making sure Emily doesn’t hear what's going on.
Slowing down and pulling away, I look up to see Danny panting heavily, closing her eyes and leaning her head back.
“You sure you’ve never done that before?” Danny breathes out.
“I think I’d remember if I had,” I chuckle.
“Never know. What if you had too much to drink,” Danny teases, putting her underwear back on. I give her a playful shove as I get up to put some clothes on for the day.
“Round three?” Danny sneers, eyeing me up as I bend over to ruffle through a drawer of my dresser.
“Put your clothes on, silly,” I begin to put on a jean skirt and blouse. Danny tries standing up from the bed, but her legs wobble too much and she just falls back onto the bed.
“I need a minute,” she huffs. I pick up her clothes from the floor and toss them at her, rolling my eyes playfully.
She slips into her flannel and starts doing up all the buttons. She then finally stands up and hikes her shorts up and on.
“Time for breakfast,” she slings her arm around my shoulders and walks us to the bedroom door to head out for the day. I have a sneaky feeling everyone is going to know something is up. Danny isn’t exactly the subtlest person ever.
The two of us head over to the kitchen, Danny’s arm still slung around my shoulders. I feel a blush forming on my face as we near Emily who is sitting at the kitchen table. And just as I suspected, Danny cannot refrain from doing the most already.
“What’s up Emily!” She holds her hand up for a high five. Emily raises her eyebrow but smacks her hand against Danny’s. She quizzically turns to me for an answer, but sees the huge blush I have on my face.
“OH MY YOBA,” She screeches. Her hands fly up to her mouth to cover it in shock. Danny goes to lean on the table, but stumbles as she just misses the corner of it. She cannot play it cool whatsoever.
Time for me to get ready for a million questions and have the whole town know.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 31
⚠️CONTENT WARNING⚠️
The two of us burst through the front door of Haley’s house. We were shivering, but still in a fit of giggles. We kept trying to shush each other since Emily is most likely asleep in the other room, but it just made us chuckle more.
We were still dripping with ocean water, so I volunteered to go grab some towels for us from the bathroom.
“They’re just on the shelf in there. You’ll see them when you walk in. I’ll be in my room when you come back,” Haley explains.
“I know where they are from the last time I was in your bathroom,” I give her a little wink, making her recall what went on the last time I was in her bathroom. I guess it was more about the night before we were in the bathroom, but I could tell she knew what I meant due to her blushing.
“Just hurry. I’m freezing,” she shoos me off and I scurry over to the bathroom. I fumble around for the light switch and finally turn it on. Just as I remember, there is a whole shelf of fluffy towels stacked up. I grab two off the shelf and head to Haley’s room. But when I get there, she isn’t around.
“Haley?” I call out loud enough for her to hear, but not enough to wake up Emily.
“In here!” I hear her muffled voice through the door at the back of her room. It was the one she told me was a ‘work in progress’. “Just make sure to close the door quickly behind you!” she shouts again.
Cautiously, I turn the doorknob of the door and pull it open slowly. Sure enough, Haley was standing there waiting for me. Doing as directed, I shut the door behind me.
“Ta da!” she opens her arms wide and gestures to the room. I raise my eyebrow as I take in the room dimly lit by a red light. I can barely make out anything at first due to my eyes not being adjusted to the darkness yet.
“Wow,” I sarcastically say, blinking rapidly a few times to get my eyes to adjust.
“Don’t sound too enthusiastic,” she chuckles. I know her well enough to know she is rolling her eyes at me.
Finally, I begin to start making out some shapes in the room. I notice a bunch of the same shape hanging from a string across the ceiling. Right in front of me were 3 buckets fitted into the middle of a table. They appear to have water in them, but they are glowing red from the tinted light in the room.
I finally realize the things hanging from the ceiling are a bunch of printed out pictures. I begin to pace alongside the string holding them up, admiring each picture the best I can in the darkness.
“Welcome to my brand new dark room!” she exclaimed excitedly. She follows along behind me as I continue to admire the pictures strung up. “What do you think?”
“It looks great, Haley. I’ve never seen a dark room in person before,” I drag my finger along the edge of one of the water buckets. I then put both my hands on the edge of the table around the buckets and lean, holding myself up by my arms.
“You really have a thing for me, huh?” I question her.
“Wh-what do you mean?” Haley stutters.
“I have eyes, you know. I can see what’s in all of your pictures,” I smirk at her, still leaning on the table.
There were many pictures of our day at Marnie’s farm strung up. There were more candid pictures of me than there were of anything else. Even in the low light, I can tell that the pictures she took of me made me look the best I have ever looked.
“Well you are just a great model,” she replies as she walks over to one of the pictures and studies it. I stand up from the table and walk over to stand behind her. I noticed the picture she was looking at was one of me looking down at something while rolling up the sleeves of my flannel. Each muscle of my arm was visible even through the sleeve of the flannel.
“Um…so, anyway… what do you want to do?” she turns to ask me, sounding a bit nervous. I was standing so close behind her, that when she turned around we were face to face. I feel her breath quicken when she surveys how close our faces are.
“Well I could say I could help you decorate in here, add some final touches and more decor…” I breathe out, as I slowly creep my hand up the side of her thigh.
“Or…?” she looks down at my hand tracing along her exposed skin on her thigh.
“Or I could do this…” I bring my hand up and cup it against her cheek and jaw. I meet her eyes for a quick second to judge how she is feeling. Her eyes stare back at mine in a needy, desire kind of way. I take that as my sign and immediately bring my lips down to hers, not being able to take another minute of this tension.
Without hesitation, she matches the pace of my lips, moving hers effortlessly with mine. I feel her hands float up and wrap around my neck, holding me in place.
“Oh Danny,” she moans between kisses, “I’ve been waiting so long for you to do this.”
“I couldn’t wait any longer,” I say breathlessly. Just as I try to go back for more, she pauses.
“One moment…” She steps out of my hold and dances over to the wall. I watch as she flicks a switch on the wall, causing the majority of the red lighting to go out. Only a single, faint, red light in the corner remains.
“Okay. I’m good now,” Haley rushes back into my embrace. This time, she is the one to go in for a kiss. Not missing a beat, I swoop down and meet her lips. I begin to slowly back her up a couple of steps to the table, not breaking away.
When I feel her waist meet the edge of the table, I wrap one of my arms around her waist and lift her up so she is sitting with me between her legs. It gave us enough time to take a few quick breaths, but we urgently went back in for more.
I have both hands rubbing along each of her thighs now, nearly pushing the hem of her dress all the way up. She has her fingers hooked into my belt loops, keeping my hips pressed tightly against her.
I feel her let go of my belt loops, and onto the collar of my flannel. She slowly slides down to the first button of my flannel next. There is a bit of tugging and fumbling, but it soon comes loose. She repeats the same motions all the way down my shirt until each button is undone.
I don’t dare stop her as she tugs my flannel loose from my body and tosses it somewhere in the room. She begins to explore the bare skin of my upper body with her hands, tracing them along every crevice and curve. She soon feels bold enough to bring her hands up to my sports bra strap. As she does, I feel her heart begin to pound in her chest.
Testing her reaction, I end up bringing my hands all the way up her dress, causing it to lift up to her stomach. I pull back to gauge my limits and see how she is feeling. She gives me a nod and even slides it the rest of the way off and over her head for me, causing her to have to shake her hair back into place.
I can only stare at how gorgeous she looks, sitting so dainty on the table with me between her legs. My eyes widen as I notice she has matching baby blue, lace panties and bra on. That sly dog. She knew this was going to happen, but that only turns me on more.
She had tossed her dress somewhere in the room along with my flannel, both no longer to be seen for the rest of the night.
“You’re beautiful,” I whisper into her ear as I lean tight against her body. She lets out a little giggle as I trail kisses down her jawline. The kisses down her jawline quickly turn to kisses down her neck, then to kisses just above her breasts.
I get tired of bending weirdly, so I spin her around on the table so she is stretched out the long way, and join her on the table. I hover above her as I continue to kiss just above her breasts. Her hands have found my belt loops once again, but not for long because I notice her unbutton my shorts. I freeze once I feel my shorts loosen around my waist, realizing what she has done.
“Take ‘em off,” she whispers in my ear, wrapping her arms around my neck again.
“Yes ma’am,” I obediently start sliding my shorts off and toss them aside. I bring my lips back to hers, missing them already. Her hands slide up and down my back, slipping them under the back of my sports bra every now and then.
I begin to trail kisses down her body again, this time going to just above her panties. I drag my tongue up her stomach, causing her to squirm. I give a few playful bites along her stomach as well, making her squirm even more.
I find myself back at her breasts. Her bra is still on, but I kind of flick between her eyes and her bra as if asking permission to take it off. She gives me a knowing smirk and arches her back so I can get the clasp. I dive right for it, undoing it with no struggles.
She slides the straps down her shoulders slowly, building anticipation. Once off, she loops a strap around her finger and flicks the bra away. Shamelessly, I just stare at her bare breasts. She was posed so gracefully underneath me. Her hair was sprawled across the table around her head, her arms were stretched overhead, and her body just looked so perfect. She looked like a painting made by the most talented artist on earth.
Without wasting another second, I bring my hands up to caress her breasts, bringing my lips down to join them. She starts moaning in pleasure, twisting her hands into my hair. Her hands then find their way back to my sports bra. Her movements are kind of hesitant and cautious, but she quickly recovers and brings my bra up my chest. I pause what I’m doing and lift the bra the rest of the way, causing her mouth to involuntarily open.
“Yoba, you are so hot,” she moans as she takes in the flex of my muscles as I bring the bra over my head. Her eyes trail down the rest of my naked torso, lingering on my chest and stomach.  I swear she is nearly salivating at the sight of me.
Leaning back down over her, I bring my hand down to her thigh. We both watch my hand travel down that way, our breathing speeding up even more than it already is. I dance my hand around her thighs, and slowly make my way to the fabric of her panties. I look back at her to see she is still watching my hand, biting her lip. I carefully dance my fingers to the waistband and slide my hands underneath it. She bites down on her lip harder and she closes her eyes, waiting for my fingers to finally make contact with her clit. When I hold my hand in place and don’t move any further, she opens her eyes and looks up at me.
“Are you sure you are okay with this?” I double check, not wanting to push her too far.
“Absolutely I am,” she grabs my chin and brings my lips down to hers. I feel her tongue part my lips this time, getting more intense with the kiss. I move my hand farther down her panties just the way she hoped for.
When my fingers finally met her clit, she was already dripping wet making for easy movements of my fingers. She moans against my lips, spreading her legs further apart for me.
“Can I take these off?” I snap the band of her panties against her waist. She nods in agreement, not breaking her concentration from the movement of my fingers. I stop for just a second to take the last of her clothing off, and go right back to what I was doing.
After a few seconds of just moving my fingers around her clit, I gently start pumping a finger into her. She arches her back a bit, letting out a little gasp. One finger soon becomes two, causing her to start squirming from pleasure.
“Danny…” she moans, fighting to not make too much noise.
“Haley…” I whisper back, causing her to whimper. Not too long after, I feel her start throbbing against my fingers. She grabs at my back and digs her nails in. She tilts her head back and lets out a gasp. I quicken the pace, and softly cover her mouth with my free hand with a smirk on my face. Emily is asleep in the house, we can’t be too loud.
She relaxes her body and slows her breathing down, so I move my hand from her mouth and remove my fingers. I watch her face as she tries to recollect her thoughts and morals.
She sits up on her arms and just stares at me straddling her legs. I lick my two fingers clean, which causes her jaw to drop. I shoot her a wink.
“I’ve never…had that so good…ever,” she sighs, still trying to catch her breath.
“That’s cause you’ve never had it done by a girl, pretty lady,” I smack the side of her thigh twice and slide off the table. Chivalrously, I begin to find her undergarments first. I come across what feels to be hers, and allow her to step into the leg holes of her underwear. She slides off the table and I yank them all the way up for her. I then hold the straps of her bra up and she waves me off.
“I won’t be needing that for the rest of the night. It’s pajama time,” she finds my flannel, bra and shorts from the ground and hands them to me. “However, I don’t have any clothes that’ll fit you… so you better hope nobody walks in on us sleeping.”
“So you get cute little pjs and I have to sleep naked?” I tease.
“I’m not complaining,” she winks as the two of us leave the dark room.
“Mmm neither am I. I doubt those little pjs are staying on long anyway,” I flop onto her bed, tossing my clothes aside.
“In your dreams,” she shoots back.
“It sure will be,” I chuckle. She slips on a light pink nightgown and gets into bed with me.
“That was nice,” Haley whispers after a few moments of silence, blushing immensely.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 30
The rest of the days of summer have finally been nothing but the sun shining down on us. The rain and thunderstorms have all cleared up, just in time for the season to come to an end.
Unfortunately that meant more work for me now that I have to water my crops. A lot of them had fully grown as well, but I waited until the rain stopped to pick them. I have been so busy with the farm that I haven’t had much time to visit Haley again. She has written me a letter reminding me about my hat I’ve left at her place, but I wrote back saying I’ll have to pick it up soon.
This morning I ran over to my mailbox to see if she responded, but instead of a letter from Haley, it was one from Demetrius.
“That’s odd. I don’t usually get mail from him,” I mumble to myself as I unfold the letter.
Dear Danny
Tonight at around 10 o’clock PM, a rare and beautiful event will take place.
The moonlight jellies will be passing by Pelican Town on their long journey south for the winter.
We’re all gathering at the beach to watch. You don’t want to miss this!
See you tonight,
Demetrius
“Did you receive the letter from Demetrius?” a voice calls out from behind me, causing me to jump.
“Give me some warning next time. Jeez!” I huff as I try to collect myself. Leah and Elliot have somehow snuck up behind me. I hadn’t even heard their feet shuffle across the field.
“Looks like she did,” Elliot answered Leah’s question for me.
“You ARE going right?” Leah speculates, raising a threatening eyebrow at me.
“Duh, of course I will. I wouldn’t miss an event as sick as this,” I say as I wave the letter around in the air. I had no idea they had so many cool events in Pelican Town. Grandpa had never told me about any of them when he would visit!
“Alright. We will see you there. Don’t be late,” Elliot points a finger at me and I put my arms up defensively.
                                                     🌻 🌻 🌻
Making sure to not cross Elliot and Leah, I show up a few minutes early to the event. I scope out my surroundings to find the best spot to hangout that has a good view of the water.
There are a bunch of floating candles set up in the water around the edge of the docks. A few people are already here as well like Jodi and Vincent, Penny, Maru, Demetrius, and Mayor Lewis. I walk over to Maru and Demetrius to chat with them about the event.
“The 'Moonlight Jelly'... what a remarkable species! We're very lucky that they stop here on their long journey south. It's unknown why they are attracted to light... very curious,” Demetrius spews out as I approach him.
“I’m so glad I get to experience this. You make it sound magical,” I responded.
“It truly is. You’re going to love it,” Maru chimes in. “ My dad loves to study them every year during their migration. I decided I’m going to help this year.”
“I hope your studies go well. Good luck!” I smile at the two of them. I had noticed Leah and Elliot had arrived and I didn’t want to hold them up much longer.
“Here she is. She beat us here!” Elliot gasps as I run up to them.
“How is that even possible? We were right there in your cabin and we still were beat,” Leah laughs as she replies to Elliot.
“You guys scared me by telling me not to be late. Didn’t want to test those waters so I decided to be early,” I chuckle.
The three of us pace around the docks while chatting. The rest of the town begins to fill up around us, getting good spots along the edge. We notice our path crosses by Mayor Lewis who is intently staring off into the horizon.
“Good evening, Danny, Elliot and Leah. The Moonlight Jellies are close... I already saw one glowing in the distance. Once we launch the candle-boat they'll come up to the docks and say hello,” He explained to us as we got closer to him. He bends down and leans over the ledge of the dock. He could fall in at any time due to him not holding onto anything. I see the candle-boat in question when I take a peak over the edge to see what he is up to.
“I dare you to push him in,” Leah whispers to me.
“No way,” I swing my hands around in denial, refusing to do that to Lewis. As annoying as he can be at times…
“Boooo,” The two of them chant, playfully. I wave them off and look around at everyone along the dock.
Just as I’m taking in everyone’s excited expressions, I catch my gaze veering off to the right towards the beach entrance.
Haley and Emily are making their arrival to the event, dressed in outfits Emily must have made for the occasion. Emily is decked out in glow-in-the-dark fabric made into a hoodie. Her shoe laces are glowing as well, matching her hoodie. She has a few patchwork glowing stars on her shorts as well.
Haley has on a dark blue dress with the same patchwork stars decorated across the body of the dress. She has her hair draped over her shoulders like usual, but there is a glowing headband tucked onto the top of her head.
I watch her eyes scan the crowd and land on me. From all the way over here, I can tell her expression lit up when she noticed me. She immediately starts racing over to my side.
“Long time no see!” She sings out as she comes to a halt in front of me. “Hey Elliot. Hey Leah!” She shoots the two a friendly wave. They both shoot her one back.
“Hey Haley. I like your outfit. I never expected to see you wear something like that,” I say.
“Do you not like it?” she pouts, thinking I meant it derogatorily.
“No, I love it! I didn’t mean to make that sound sarcastic.” That seemed to wipe the pout from her face. She gave me a nod of approval and went back to gleaming brightly.
“We are going to let you two be. We don’t want to third wheel you guys on your date…” Elliot grabs Leah by her arm and starts tugging her away. As they shuffle awkwardly away, they give us a thumbs up and start pretending to make out with the air, mocking us.
“So…this is a date?” Haley questions me, leaning on a wooden post of the dock.
“If you’d like it to be?” I reply with a smirk. I reach my hand out and take hers, rubbing my thumb against the palm of her soft hand.
“Nahhhh,” she rolls her eyes and shakes her head, obviously joking. Making a bold move, I yank her from the post she was leaning on and spin her around into my arms. I wrap around her back, holding her by the waist. She seemed to enjoy that just as I thought she would.
Just as I did that, Mayor Lewis announces he is about to release the candle-boat. The crowd watches as the torch in his hand erupts into flames. He bends down over the edge and places the flame to the wick of the candle. It ignites immediately and he pushes it off into the vast ocean.
Everyone watches in anticipation as the boat sails away with the current. It is such a magical moment with all the candles lit up and floating in the water. It truly feels like Haley and I are the only two in the world right now. My arms are still wrapped around her waist, but she has fully sunk into the embrace. She has her hands clasped onto my forearms and is leaning her head back onto my chest.
“Are you falling asleep?” I whisper in her ear as she seems very quiet and relaxed.
“No but I am comfortable like this,” she whispers back.
Suddenly, a blue glow emerges from the depth of the water. It was a Moonlight Jelly. It wasn’t alone though. The single blue glow was soon followed by what seemed like a million more. I hear Jas and Vincent squeal in joy, and many more murmurs of excitement ripple through the crowd.
There are some big ones, some little ones, but all of them are equally as pretty. They light up the ocean like the stars of the night sky.
“What a way to celebrate the last day of summer,” I whisper to Haley again. I don’t want to disrupt the mood by talking too loudly.
“That’s for sure,” she whispers back.
A couple more minutes go by of all the Moonlight Jellies dancing around in the water around the docks. I hear a few gasps and I start alertly looking around at what caused people to start gasping. My gaze lands on the water right in front of me. The thing that made everyone gasp was a faint teal colored glow. Unlike all of the blue Moonlight Jellies, this one was different. The teal Moonlight Jelly stood out more than all of the others and it was right in front of me.
I take Haley by the chin and guide her gaze down to where I was looking. Just like everyone else, she let out a gasp.
“It’s the Rare Green Jelly!” she breathes out excitedly. She starts squirming in my arms, freaking out over this uncommon situation. “It’s right in front of us!” she squeals with joy.
Soon, the ocean that was brightly lit up with the glow of the Jellies begins to fade away. They all start to submerge back down to the depths of the ocean to carry on their journey south. The last one to go was the Rare Green Jelly that hung out in front of us.
“We’ve all heard stories of the Green Jelly but none of us have actually seen it,” Haley explains to me as the event starts to die down. I watch as Jas and Vincent are hurried home to get to bed since it’s way past their bedtime.
“It's crazy how it was right in front of us,” I replied back, stifling a yawn.
“Someone's sleepy,” Haley says while pinching my cheek. “You sure you can make it back home without falling asleep? You could always come back to my place…?” Haley smirks while twisting back and forth.
“You draw a hard bargain. But I have chicks to tend to bright and early in the morning. I also have to gather millions of ripe crops in the morning due to someone clearing all of the seeds out from Pierre’s for my farm,” I snorted while nudging her shoulder.
“C’mon Dannnnyyy. Don’t make me beg,” she whines as she tilts her head at me, batting her eyelashes.
“Sorry, pretty lady. Duty calls,” I take her face into my hands and place a kiss on her forehead. I see her face turn pink in the faint light of the candles on the water. Everyone on the beach has cleared out now. It’s only her and I still standing around on the dock.
Next thing I know, I feel Haley’s arms grab my biceps firmly. I don’t fight it, but I’m unsure of what she is up to.
“Say hi to the Moonlight Jellies for me,” She gives me a devilish smile and then gives me a hard shove. It took all of her strength to uproot me and get me to fall into the water, but she somehow managed.
I feel myself fall for a few seconds, but the cold waters encase me soon after. I’m completely submerged in the ocean, trying to figure out what just happened. I paddle myself to the surface to give Haley a piece of my mind.
“Haley what the fuck?” I curse at her, somewhat playful but a tiny bit annoyed.
“Watch out,” she says, gesturing to me to move. Doing as she directs, I wade over to the right a bit to give her space. She takes her shoes and headband off and sets them aside. She lines up for a running start into the water, and takes off. When she reaches the end of the dock, she does a dainty little jump and plunges into the water with me. I turn my head away so I don’t get splashed in the face.
“Now we are going to be freezing,” I complained to her.
“Well we are going to be freezing together. You look like you give off good body heat,” she treads over to me and latches onto my side. She wraps her legs around my waist and allows me to hold her back.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I give her a little playful frown.
“This is what I mean.” She squeezes my bicep, referencing all the muscle I have.
“Fair point.”
“Are you suuure you can’t come back to my place?” She begs again.
“As long as I’m home before nightfall tomorrow. I have to feed my chickens, remember?” I cave.
“Mmhmm. You’ve got a deal,” she swings herself to my front, holding onto me with her arms around my neck.
“Can we go now…? I’m freezing,” I shyly say to her, not wanting to ruin her fantasies of me always being warm.
“Yeah I’m freezing too. I don’t know what I was thinking,” she shivers. Her teeth chatter together as she speaks.
The two of us swim back to shore and hurriedly rush over to Haley’s place. We keep our arms wrapped tightly around our bodies, trying to hold in heat and block the wind caused by our sprint.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 29
I don't really know what I have planned for today, or tomorrow, or the rest of the week for that matter. It's a weird time in the season where I'm just waiting for my stuff to grow so I can harvest them and sell them to make some good money. This farm business is going pretty swell. I've been making more money than I have ever made in my life. I truly think this was the best decision of my life.
I don't really want to be too pushy and clingy with Haley, so I'm trying to give her a little space for now. She might be already rethinking things, or regretting ever confessing her feelings to me, and I want to make sure she is still okay with this before I keep pushing forward.
That being said, I still have no idea what to do today. The rain is still going on and it's driving me nuts. As much as I like not watering the crops, I don't want to be soaked every time I go outside. I don't even have my hat to somewhat cover me up.
"Maybe Robin has some new furniture in today. I could really spruce this place up some more," I mutter to myself as I kick a dirty shirt on the floor that's in my way.
I hesitate for a moment, thinking if I really want to walk all that way for possibly nothing. I shake it off and grab my backpack and head off.
It's always a hike up the mountains, but the rain makes it worse. It mixes with the wind and gives me the worst chills. I hope I don't get sick from this.
I finally make it to the door of Robin's place and walk inside. She always keeps it unlocked due to her store being in her house. Oddly enough, Robin wasn't in her usual spot behind the cash register today.
"Hello?" I yell into the house, hoping for a response. Nothing.
It sounded like nobody was in the house at all for a moment until I heard thumping from the basement which is Sebastian's room. I descend down the stairs to the basement door. As I get closer to his room, I start to hear some heavy metal music blaring.
"Sebastian!?" I shout at the door. I pound my fist against it a few times for good measure too, but still nothing. I turn the knob of the door and burst into Sebastian's room.
"Wicked! Danny's here to party with us!" Sam cheers when he notices I have walked in. The music is excruciatingly loud now that I'm right beside the speaker.
I take in the scene unfolding in front of me. Abigail, Sebastian, Sam, and oddly Alex are all hanging out and partying. Sebastian and Abigail are at the two computers, and Alex and Sam are sitting at the huge table in front of me.
All eyes had turned to look at me after Sam had announced I was here. Sebastian got up from the computer and turned down the music.
"I mean why not?" I shrug as I sprawl out across the three person couch.
"Looking for my mom?" Sebastian knowingly asks. I come over pretty often to get things from her.
"Yeah this time for furniture. My house is looking pretty dull," I drape my arm over my face, shielding my eyes from the bright overhead light.
"Want something to drink?" Sam holds out a can of Joja Cola to me. He must be the one who somehow manages to get them in the Pelican Town waters. I fish them out CONSTANTLY.
"Sure. Toss it over," I raise my hand up in the air, ready to catch the can. He lobs it my way and I snag it out of mid air with one hand.
"Impressive," Alex gives me a nod of approval. "You should join a gridball team."
"And what if I told you 'been there done that'?" I give him a wink while cracking open my Joja Cola and taking a sip. It's true that I've once played on a gridball team. That was way back in high school though. I wasn't a fan of it.
"I should've guessed," He shakes his head in defeat. "You're so much better than I can ever be. How will I ever win back Haley now?" Alex dramatically cries out, throwing his arms into the air.
"Wait dude seriously?" Sam raises an eyebrow at Alex. Sam just gets an 'are you serious?' look from Alex in return.
"Sam, what did he JUST tell us?" Sebastian shakes his head trying to hold back a laugh. I see Abigail trying to hide her laughter by turning away and covering her mouth. Sam squints his eyes as he goes deep into thought.
"Aaaaand we've lost him," Abigail stops holding back her laughter and lets it out.
"Is anyone in this town straight?" I let out a chuckle, as I thought it over. We see Sam finally begin to clue into the previous conversation because he starts gesturing an 'oh yeah, that's right' motion with his finger at us.
"It really seems like it's the opposite doesn't it. Not only did you add to the queer population by 1... you somehow brought 2 more into play," Sebastian points out. I give a nonchalant shrug of the shoulder.
"Hey no! Me coming out had nothing to do with Haley or Danny. That happened by coincidence," Alex exclaims to Sebastian.
"Danny, do you want to hear our new song?!" Sam excitedly jumps out of his seat and runs to the speaker. I didn't even have time to respond to the question.
"He has been dying to show people our song. He brings it up in conversation as much as he can," Sebastian explains to me.
"Who's all in the band?"
"Sam, Abigail and I. We do all kinds of genres. We have a gig in the city soon. You should come. Maybe you could bring Haley and make it a date?" he wags his eyebrows at me.
"Speaking of. Has it been less than a week yet?" Alex chimes into our conversation.
"Oh screw you. You can't talk, Alex," I wave my hand at him and brush off his question with a blush.
"You didn't deny it..." Abigail purses her lips accusingly.
"Yoba, you guys have such dirty minds," I click my tongue and hide my blushing face.
"Yeah well I know how Haley works, unfortunately. That woman warms up fast," Alex leans his head back, recalling his time with Haley.
"Like I said before, I'm not going to rush her into anything. I'll let her make the first move and see from there," I fold my arms behind my head to use as a pillow.
"You'll cave," Abigail says, taking Alex's side. Sebastian also nods in agreement. Sam is busy in the corner playing air guitar and head banging to his own song.
"OH WHAT'S THAT? YOU'RE HOME ROBIN? I'LL BE RIGHT UP!" I pretend to yell to Sebastian's mom upstairs. I get up from the couch and stick my tongue at them all. I make sure to laugh a little bit so they know there are no hard feelings. Sam gives me a little wave goodbye after missing the entire conversation. What a bunch.

One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 28
As promised, I decided to stay for dinner at Haley's. Emily has taken off to a shift at the saloon so we have the house to ourselves.
"What do you want to have to eat?" Haley questions me as she skims through the fridge for something to make.
"I'm fine with anything. I'm not picky," I shrug while sitting at the kitchen table, particularly interested in looking at Haley bent over looking in the fridge.
"Really? I set you up for a perfect joke and nothing?" Haley had whipped around with her hands on her hips. I feel my face get hot and I just shrug again.
"I figured it's too soon for that..?" I sheepishly say while giving her a goofy grin. I have never been so nervous and tame with jokes like that around other girls before. I don't want to say the wrong thing and make her run for the hills.
"It's never too early to make a joke, silly," she sings as she searches around the kitchen for food. Haley has also never given me back my cowboy hat either. She is still strutting around wearing it.
"I'll keep that in mind," I reply while I follow Haley's pacing with my eyes. She is making me dizzy from watching her.
"I really don't know what to make for you," She whines as she covers her face with her hands. Standing up, I make my way over to her and rest my hand on her shoulder. With my other hand, I take the cowboy hat and tilt it up. She takes her hands away from her face and looks up at me with her sparkling eyes.
"You could make me Algae Soup and I'd still eat it. Make whatever your pretty heart desires," I gently shake the cowboy hat on her head, causing her to giggle.
"Sit tight. I have an idea," she says as she leads me back to the kitchen table and sits me down in my chair.
When she returns to the kitchen work space, she immediately gets to work. Pulling all sorts of things from the fridge, stirring in large bowls, measuring ingredients, she was putting in work.
She finally slows down with the cooking and takes whatever it is from the oven.
"Ta da! It's pepper poppers!" She exclaims, holding out the tray of them with oven mitts on. "I know it kind of clashes, but I also made a fruit salad to go with them. I just love fruit salad so much."
"I think it's wonderful, Haley. Thank you," I say with a huge smile. She gives me a smile back and sets the pepper poppers on the table. Next, she brings over the fruit salad bowl and places it down.
"Dig in!" she announces while taking a seat across from me.
"Oh I will," I mutter, already taking a huge bite. Uncivilly, I use my hands and fingers to eat the pepper poppers. I should've known better and tried to be more polite, but I just couldn't wait a second longer.
Before you know it, I cleared my plate entirely. Haley, who is only on her second pepper popper, stares at me in disbelief. I start sucking my fingers clean of grease and cheese instead of using a napkin like the hooligan I am. However, the gesture makes Haley start blushing. When I catch her gaze, she quickly looks down at her food and takes a bite.
"Sorry... I'm not very polite. I'm used to eating alone at home," I apologized to her.
"You're alright. I can tell you enjoyed it," she waves me off, still looking down at her plate with a blush.
"Am I disgusting you already?" I nervously laugh, unsure why she is looking away.
"Quite the opposite actually," she mumbles, finally looking back up at me. I feel my cheeks heat up now at the seductive look she is giving me.
She finishes her last bite of food and takes her plate into her arms. She reaches across the table to take mine, but I knock her hand away.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Let me help you. These are my dishes after all," I scolded her playfully. She backs up and goes to the sink to start the dishes. I follow after her.
"You don't have to help, you know? You are a guest here," she sighs while scrubbing one of the plates.
"Don't matter. I want to help you," I retort while grabbing a towel to start drying the dishes. Since it was only the two of us, washing the dishes was going to take no time at all.
"How'd you know you were into girls?" Haley blurts out after a few minutes of silently washing dishes.
"I absolutely despised the thought of being with a man," I answered with a chuckle. "Now women..." I bump her with my hip and wag my eyebrows at her. This causes her to chuckle with me and she shakes her head.
She suddenly puts down the dish she was washing and turns her whole body towards me. I realize she seems to be in a serious stance, so I finish drying the dish I had and turn to face her.
"You said you've had one night stands. Why did those not work out? Why did you never want to settle down with someone?" She asks me very forwardly.
"I just never liked them enough to be more than a one night stand. I couldn't see a future with anyone, and mostly was focused on having fun rather than settling down. I didn't care about anyone enough to continue a romantic relationship..." I sigh, thinking back to the city days. I look at her to see if she was satisfied with my response.
"What makes me different?" I notice her take a deep breath and kind of hold it.
"You had my attention the moment I got here. My brain and body knew what I wanted and it was you, Haley. You aren't like everyone back in the city, you are so much more. How I so desperately hoped you'd be into girls so I'd at least have somewhat of a chance with you," I rest my hand on her cheek. She leans into it as she listens to what I have to say. I slowly creep closer to her so that we are only inches apart. I gently tip her head back so I can see her beautiful face that was hidden by the brim of the cowboy hat.
Neither of us saying another word, the two of us start leaning in closer to each other. I start lowering my head down to her as she brings hers up closer to mine. I didn't dare close my eyes yet so I could watch as her lips got closer to mine. We both freeze for a moment, making sure we are both okay with it. I slide my arm around her waist and pull her in closer.
Just as our lips are about to connect, the front door bursts open startling us both. We both quickly back away from each other and go back to doing the dishes. Haley fumbles one of the dishes she tries to pick up and it falls back into the sink. I start drying an already dry dish.
"I hope y'all are decent," Emily shouts from the front door, dramatically covering her eyes. I hadn't even realized how late it had gotten. Somehow, the time slipped by and it's already 11 o'clock at night.
"Wow. Old married couple much? I give you guys the house to yourselves and you are playing house?" Emily judges teasingly.
"Can't you go back to the saloon and stay there permanently?" Haley rolls her eyes, annoyed.
"Ouch. Did I just cock block or something?" Emily bursts out laughing at her own joke, making Haley more annoyed.
"I should probably get going. It's pretty late," I bend down and plant a kiss on Haley's cheek, causing her face to flush pink at the sudden gesture. It calmed her down immediately, bringing her out of the annoyed state.
I set the dish towel on the counter and head towards the door.
"Thank you again for dinner. It's my turn to make dinner for us next time." I give Haley a quick wink. "See you later, Haley."
"Don't forget your hat!" she calls after me, taking it off her head.
"Keep it until next time. It'll give me an excuse to come back," I call back to her as I step through the front door.

I was worried there for a second but then I read the seconds words and was like PHEW. Amen soldier. Thank you for the kind words🫶🫶
One Sunny Day
(Stardew Valley)(Haley x Female Farmer)
Chapter 27
All through the night I couldn’t let myself fall asleep. I was up daydreaming, overthinking, and walking through the whole day from start to end. I know exactly how I want everything to play out and when I should bring the bouquet to Haley’s.
First things first, I have to stop and get the bouquet. I waltz over to Pierre’s with an extra pep to my step. Caroline is standing and chatting with Pierre behind the counter this morning. They both turn and look at me when they hear the bell chime from over the door.
“Good morning!” I greet the two of them.
“Good morning, Danny. How can we help you?” Caroline greets back.
“I need a bouquet…please,” I was so excited that I nearly forgot my manners.
“Pierre, do you mind grabbing this wonderful girl a bouquet?” Caroline asks her husband.
“Right on it!” He says as he reaches to a shelf behind the counter. He pulls out a bouquet full of blue, purple, and yellow flowers. Lots of greenery were added to give it more depth and to make the colors pop. The flowers are wrapped in classic brown paper, but it was a little too plain for my liking.
“Do you mind tying a blue ribbon around the paper on the stems?” I ask Pierre.
“Of course I can do that. That’s a really good idea,” he replies as he goes searching on the shelf under the cash register. He takes such a long time that Caroline finally reaches down and finds it for him. He blushes in embarrassment and takes the ribbon from her.
“There we go. A beautiful bouquet with a blue ribbon tied into a bow.” Pierre passes the bouquet to me and I exchange it for a few of my coins.
I turn on my heels, bouquet in hand and head for the door.
“Good luck!” Pierre and Caroline call out with a wave. I give them a friendly wave back and start heading over to Emily and Haley's house.
When I arrive at their front door, I stand there on the doorstep for a minute. I contemplate all of the different ways this could go one more time before knocking on the front door.
I straighten my hat, adjust my shirt, dust my pants off and fluff the flowers of the bouquet as well before knocking on the door. Finally, I bring my hand up and knock on the front door.
“I knew you couldn’t stay away for much longer. I figured we’d see you at our house today,” Emily chuckles as she opens the door. She opens the door wider and invites me in. I step inside and make my way to the living room. I’m far too antsy to sit down just yet, so I stay standing.
“You are such a lovey dovey, Danny. Look at you with your bouquet of flowers, all dolled up,” Emily gushes. I didn’t really ‘doll up’ as Emily says. I only brushed my hair out really well and cleaned my boots up. I was just wearing my regular farm wear, I didn’t want to look like I’m trying TOO hard.
At the sound of my name leaving Emily’s mouth, Haley’s bedroom door flies open. Startled, Emily and I whip our heads her way.
Haley has done herself up nicer than I have ever seen. She was wearing a pink, halter top sundress that reached down to her mid thigh with her wavy blonde hair framing her face and draped over the front of her shoulders. Her nails have a fresh coat of her usual blue nail polish that brings out her eye color. The only bit of makeup she was wearing was mascara and her signature pink lipstick.
I can’t help but just stare at her as she stands at the doorway of her room. Her whole demeanor is glowing and bright today, giving me butterflies in my stomach.
My awkward staring has caused her to blush and look down at the ground. She twirls a strand of hair around her finger, waiting for one of us to speak.
“Get a room you two,” Emily laughs as she has been standing here watching us stare at each other. “You’re undressing each other with your eyes right in front of me.”
This causes Haley’s face to go redder than before. I also felt my face go red from what Emily said since I may or may not be guilty of it.
Emily marched away and went into her room due to the tension between Haley and I. She didn't want to be a third wheel or witness the weirdness going on.
“So…” Haley takes a few steps my way with her hands clasped behind her back.
“So…” I responded nervously. I had the bouquet behind my back where Haley couldn’t see it just yet.
“What are you doing here, Danny?” Haley asks me as she gets closer to me.
“I just came to see you. I have something for you that I’m hoping you like…”
“Oh yeah? What is it?” She tilts her head at me curiously.
I take the bouquet from behind my back and hand it out to her. I watch her eyes follow my movements and land on the bouquet as I hold it out. They immediately light up when she notices what I was holding out to her.
“Danny…” she whispers as she slowly takes it into her hand.
“I hope you like it. I made sure to get Pierre to add a blue ribbon to make it prettier,” I blush, scratching at the back of my neck.
“You do know what this symbolizes right?” Haley asks me with her eyebrow raised.
“I believe it means ‘romantic interest’ if I’m not mistaken?” I confidently responded. Her eyebrows raise in surprise, realizing I knew the intent behind the flowers. "Is there something wrong?” My voice filled with worry as I’m afraid I did something wrong.
“No no nothing is wrong. I’m just surprised…” She breathes out.
“Why are you surprised?” My voice is still trembling with worry.
“You really like me? After how I treated you?” She mumbles, unsure of being deserving of the gesture.
“Oh course I really like you. I thought this would make that clear?” I chuckle softly.
Haley walks closer to me and takes me by the hand. I feel my whole body heat up at her touch.
“My hand might be a little sweaty,” I whisper nervously.
“That’s okay. I was going to take you to go find a vase with me to put this in,” She says as she starts dragging me to the kitchen.
Haley lets go of my hand once we get to the kitchen and starts rummaging through the cupboards. She goes through all the ones at the bottom, but once she has to reach to the top cupboards, she can’t see what’s in them.
“Can you help me? Do you see a vase up there?” She asks while pointing to the shelves in the cupboard.
“Well I don’t see a vase in this one. Try the next one,” I directed her. She opens the next cupboard and motions for me to look. Sure enough, I see at the very back a tall, glass vase she could use for the bouquet. I place my hand on the counter for balance and reach with the other one to grab the vase at the back. But when I put my arm up to reach, I feel something skimming the exposed skin of my waist.
“You have such smooth skin for a farmer. I mean your calloused hands say otherwise, but everywhere else…” Haley says as she traces her fingers along my waist. I nearly lose balance while bringing the vase down.
“Well besides all the cuts and scrapes from the mines,” I responded as I put the vase on the counter. As I say that, her fingers brush across a gash on my stomach that hasn’t healed yet. Many of the injuries have yet to heal.
“Have you been taking care of them?” She asks me in a low tone, looking up at me through her eyelashes.
“Well.. uh...no,” I stutter as she brings her hand up to my face. She traces the cuts I have along my cheek, then down to the one I have going across my lip. She seems to linger on that one a little bit longer.
“Your lips are also soft considering you are out in the sun all day usually. You’d think they get sunburnt and chapped often?” She says.
“Mhmm,” I say in a daze, letting her fingers travel around my body. She slid them down my arm next, right down to the palm of my hand.
“Yeah look at all the callouses and scratches you got going on here. You really should let me put some cream on your hands. It’ll soften them up,” She traces the creases of my hand, causing me to get goosebumps.
I quietly nod my head as I admire her face. She wasn’t looking up at me to notice I was looking at her. She was too concentrated on my hand.
“Let’s go find a spot for this bouquet in my room,” she finally says as she takes the vase into her hands.
I’ve never been in Haley’s room before and I’m kind of nervous. Seeing the place where most of someone's personal life takes place is very intimate to me. She must be comfortable enough with me to let me into this part of her life.
Haley opens the door of her room and leads me inside. I take a couple of steps in and start admiring it. The wallpaper is a horizon of a beach with sand and water. There were even little sail boats scattered throughout the water of the wallpaper. Two big palm trees were part of the wallpaper as well. Her bed was pressed up to the corner of the room with a lamp beside it. On the other side was a dresser and a small side table next to it with a teddy bear on it. She had a cute, pink vanity to the right of the door and a lamp squeezed into the corner on another small side table. In the left front corner was a shelf with her camera perched on it. A huge potted plant was also next to it.
“Your room is cute,” I say, taking it all in. As I am focused on the room, I hear Haley close the door behind me.
“A lot of it is from when I was a kid. I never wanted to redo it and kind of embraced it. I added a few things as I got older such as this vanity,” she explains as she gestures to the pink vanity. She paces around the room trying to find somewhere to put the vase of flowers.
“This will be a good spot. First thing I’ll see when I enter my room!” She smiles as she places the vase on top of the big dresser. I can’t help but smile with her as she happily places it down.
I notice she has two pictures printed out and taped to her wall next to the dresser. I walk over to investigate. Haley notices where I’m looking and quickly moves in front of them.
“Nuh uh,” she shakes her head while blushing at me, still blocking the pictures.
“C’mon what do you have to hide?” I tease her trying to look around her. She just shrugs at me.
“Well now I have to see,” I say as I grab her by the waist. She squirms and squeals in my grasp and I toss her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I keep her there as I take in the two pictures she has taped to her wall.
One of the pictures was a sweet one of her and Emily taking a selfie. They were making funny faces at the camera.
To my surprise, the other picture was of her and I at Marnie’s farm. It was one of us hanging out with the cows. I was showing her how to pet a cow, but instead of looking at the cow, I was looking at her. She was looking back up at me as well, not paying attention to my demonstration.
“Looky at what we got here. Is this a picture of you and I?” I tease her more.
“You weren’t supposed to see that!” she squeals from over my shoulder.
“That’s really creepy of you, Haley,” I joke. I start walking over to the bed but stop at a weird door at the back of her room.
“What’s in here?” I ask her. I spun around to show Haley what I was looking at since she was still draped over my shoulder.
“It’s a work in progress. I’ll show you when it’s done,” she replies.
I continue over to her bed where I put Haley down. I grab her by the waist again and lift her up off my shoulder. I gently toss her down onto the bed, causing her to let out an “oof”. Somehow, she still remains perfect, not a hair out of place. Her face was flushed due to all the blood rushing to her head from hanging over my shoulder.
She sits up on the bed and pats beside her, inviting me to sit next to her. Doing as I’m told, I take a seat beside her. I watch as she reaches her arm up and yanks my hat from my head. The static of my hat leaving my head causes my hair to tousle. She lets out a laugh as she puts the hat on her own head.
I feel my stomach erupt in butterflies from how good she looks in my cowboy hat. That, and other places of my body seem to enjoy it as well. The hem of her sundress seemed to creep farther up her thighs as she sat crisscrossed on her bed. I can’t help but quickly peek down at her thighs and body. The dress accentuates the curves of her hips and chest a little too well. It’s almost like she wore this dress on purpose.
“Whatcha looking at?” Haley catches me as I let my eyes linger a little too long.
“Oh…nothing…”I quickly replied awkwardly, my face heating up.
“Yeah…okay…” she skeptically calls my bluff with a smirk. She leans back onto her arms and stretches her legs out over my lap.
She flicks her eyes down at her legs and back up at me, giving me another smirk. Boldly, I take my hand and caress the side of her calf. I slowly bring myself to a lean, and bring my hand up her leg to caress her thigh. I hold my head up with my fist as I lean across the bed. She is still up farther on the bed than me, my head is only at her hip.
“You’re a tease,” she mutters under her breath to me.
“I’m the tease?” I raise an eyebrow at her, still caressing her thigh.
“Look what you are doing!” She points to my hand.
“Look what you’re wearing,” I breathe, tugging at the hem of her dress.
“I knew you’d like it,” she winks. I feel my breath hitch in my lungs at the wink.
“Stay for dinner, Danny,” she looks at me with a gleam in her eyes. I look around to find a clock. When I find one on the wall of her room, I see that it’s already dinner time. I hadn’t even noticed my stomach rumbling.
“If you so desperately want me to,” I respond playfully, giving her dress another few tugs at the hem.
