The months following Allison's death have passed Stiles by in a haze of monotony. He sleepwalks through days that seem to lose their color, an unwilling passenger in a body he no longer trusts. Eventually, he thinks, he'll just fade away. He isn't sure anyone would notice. Then, during a spur of the moment grocery run, he stumbles upon Derek Hale attempting to console a lost child, and for the first time in recent memory the world doesn't seem so awful. He's not sure what he'd been expecting when he eventually convinces Derek to move into the Stilinski's spare bedroom, but a newfound passion for weeding and topsoil certainly isn't it.

Who would’ve thought Stiles and Derek gardening would make for such a great fic? Major kudos to you author! I loved how Stiles and Derek helped each other with the help of the garden. And the Sheriff was awesome, as he should be. This was a fantastic look at what would’ve happened if everyone was given a chance to take care of themselves.

This was great! It was like FWB to Lovers except it never felt like it was just FWB?? It just kind of felt like we got to see the climax of Stiles and Derek coming together finally and how their lives progressed over the summer. And the feels? All of the feels. And the porn? All of the porn haha.

Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.

He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.

Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.

He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.

And then he leaves.

Holy fuckballs, Batman. I just? Ah? This is the kind of fic that makes me fall in love with fanfiction all over again. It’s so well written and the relationship between Derek and Stiles builds so naturally and steadily until it crescendos and everything, including the canon events, all seem to be leading up to that moment. Absolutely fantastic.

I fucking love pack mom!Stiles. The relationship Stiles has with each of the pack members is great. The way he babies Isaac to the point that Isaac tackles him when he comes home? Oh, my heart hurts. I love it. I love it a lot. Kinda odd that Matt was invited into the pack in this one, but I dig it in like a “world where everyone gets along and no one dies and everything is sunshine and rainbows” sort of way, you know? Idk. Just read it; it’s good.

Stiles has always worked with Scott for end-of-year projects. Only this year, Scott wants to work with his new girlfriend Allison, leaving Stiles without a partner. The only person not already partnered up is Derek Hale, first chair violin who has played for his sister Laura and only his sister Laura since joining the academy.

If he was just an asshole, Stiles could handle that. But Stiles has a vision for this project, one he's spent his whole life cultivating, and Derek? Derek just doesn't get it, and that Stiles cannot handle.

I loved this. I loved this so much. The author captured both Stiles and Derek’s stubborness and the way that they came together and figured shit out was so organic and realistic and they would make such beautiful work together. Gah. I wish I could see/hear their final piece.

He almost laughed when he caught sight of the approaching car. A black Camaro. Which meant Derek Hale was the one slowing down to pull up behind him. The town mechanic and also the scariest fucker around.

Oh, sweet irony.

He was exactly the person Stiles desperately needed and was also terrified of.

Mmmm. Yes, please. I kind of just love the trope of Derek and the pack being a town pariah and Stiles being tempted to “the dark side”. Plus, Scott is a dope, which is always a love for me in fics. Plus plus, daddy kink? Yes please. Plus plus plus, fluff? Hell yeah. Pushing all my buttons, author. Kudos to you, my dude.

I really enjoy supernatural Stiles fics, and I absolutely adored the pack dynamics of this fic. The slow build of the Sterek and the constant looming of the hunter was great. I really enjoyed Stiles’ rational for keeping his secret from the pack because it’s so real. Overall, this was super well written, and I just loved it all.
