Previewed last week, a detailed overview of the upcoming Nike Air Presto in a tropical finish is showcased in more detail.
Essentially defined by its floral patterned upper in a fading effect of purple to pink, black accents across create depth as well as contrasting the overall design perfectly. Further reinforced with its signature lacing system that flows towards its heel to solidify the structure, light blue accents are also seen on the mesh inner lining, tongue tab and rear portion of the midsole to complement its palette.
All resting atop a white sole unit thatâs detailed with black speckles, you can find expect to find this latest pair at select Nike accounts starting March 16th, for $140.

As usual we see a lot of sneaker brands celebrate the Chinese New Year with special releases. China is celebrating the Year of the Monkey in 2016 and for the occasion adidas has created a limited edition range of its Tubular collection. The adidas Tubular âChinese New Yearâ pack consists of the adidas Tubular Runner, adidas Tubular X and the all-new adidas Tubular Doom. All three sneakers feature a premium tonal red upper, made of leather and mesh, sitting on a crisp white Tubular outer sole. The red is of course a strong hint at the Chinese inspiration of the pack. Look out for the release of the pack at select retailers from January 23.

World famous Art Basel Miami Beach kicked off yesterday â and it started with a bang. According to an article from ArrestedMotion.com, the Macaya Gallery has teamed up with the Hoerle Guggenheim Art Gallery for a weeklong, exclusive live painting session in the heart of the Wynwood Art District. They call it âARTCELERATION.â
The event launched last night with prominent graffiti artist RETNA, who was commissioned to paint a Ferrari F430 Challenge, courtesy of local dealership ASNA Motorcars. Two other participants, London-based pop artist Ben Levy and Miamiâs resident painter and sculptor Edouard Duval-Carrie, will be customizing other vehicles as part of the session later this week.
Each of these cars are set to go to auction and part of the proceeds will be donated to benefit two worthy causes, the Miami Childrenâs Health Foundation and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Stay with us to see what other art cars Art Basel Miami Beach creates.

While focus is currently on the big holiday push for high profile sneaker releases, Nike gives us a look at a footwear pack that will be arriving in the spring of 2016. Presented is the âReflective Safariâ tandem, featuring the Air Max 1 Ultra Essential and Air Huarache Utility. The shoes are highlighted by safari print throughout the upper, while a speckled effect draws attention to the midsole. Green and gold detailing then plays accent on both silhouettes, which come equipped with black laces.
As for now, no specific drop date has been disclosed, but again, the kicks will be a part of the Swooshâs Spring 2016 collection.

Yesterday, Shepard Fairey unveiled his latest street art installation, dubbed âEarth Crisis.â The large sphere dangling between the first and second floors of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, is meant to draw attention to the global environmental crisis by coinciding with the world conference on climate change, COP21, in the same city.
âMy political stance on protecting the planet is driven by my concern for the quality of life for future generations. Iâm not an alarmist, but I do think people need to understand that we are facing an earth crisis. I think it is exciting that the globe provides different experiences for the viewer from a distance and up close while living in the heart of the Eiffel Tower. I hope the Earth Crisis Globe appeals visually but also generates a needed conversation about the fate of our planet.â â Shepard Fairey
The two-ton sphere features images that symbolize both threats to nature and incitement to respect it, including climate change and environmentally-themed graphics that are positioned to raise awareness and provoke discussions about the Earthâs future. The color scheme connects blue and green of air, water and vegetation, all of which allows the Earth to sustain life.

At Japanâs renowned sneaker resell destination, Skit, owner Katsushige Kamamoto recounts how a client had once arrived at the store with 800 pairs of sneakers to consign. Describing the sneaker culture of Japan, Kamamoto notes that the success of his store can be ascribed to the two problems that every sneakerhead has: that they buy sneakers even though they donât wear them, and that they want to buy new shoes but have no money. Fueled by a vicious, constant supply of new and limited releases, the footwear industry is one that will not likely see a slowdown any time soon. From revisiting the meteoric rise in popularity of the Nike Air Max in Tokyo, to the growing trend to tech-centric shoes, Japan is an epicenter of sneaker fashion that serves as a breeding ground for diehard sneakerheads. Watch the full video above to see how Japanese sneaker culture compares to its American counterpart, and let us know your thoughts below.
