/dustsblog Oh hey! Lilly here lmao I live. Massive apologies for vaporizing off the face of the internet,... AGAIN, like I always do :') There have been way too many offline shenanigans as of late that being active online and socializing just hasn't been a priority for me anymore, unfortunately :') This being said, here is an important announcement I've been meaning to write for a while:

I have deleted all of my finished art posts from all of my public social accounts, and from now on, this blog will no longer host any finished artwork.

And because Tumblr has a weird system where reblogged versions of original posts are not deleted across the entire platform, I ask that

If you have any of my art reblogged to your blog, unless you commissioned it, I hope it won't be too much to ask that you delete it as well (I'm not asking you to comb your blog for it lol that would be unreasonable, just,... if you happen to see it, remove it kindly).

More importantly, if I've drawn you an NSFW artwork that you've uploaded to any of your public accounts, I hope you'll respect my wish of wanting it deleted (or at least made private).

Of course, I can't force you to do any of that, but you'd be doing me a huge favor and I'll be eternally grateful to you if you managed to help me be at peace.

So moving forward from here: This Tumblr account will just be a personal blog of sorts. There might be occasional WIPs here and there, but nothing beyond that artwise. Therefore, if you are here for the art, feel free to stick around or unfollow as you please.

As for the finished artworks: From now on until further notice, all finished art will be shared on Patreon + a private art Twitter (or should we call it 𝕏 now lmao!!!) for personal reasons until a time comes when I'm comfortable to share in public again.

Usually I gush over pieces of written art and recommend everyone to give it a read, but for this particular one, while I do recommend any Fenris fan to give it a read to appreciate Perlengold’s mastery of words, please do proceed with caution if you’re uncomfortable digging into Fenris’ past.

As much as I’m heart-wrenched by this, I can’t help but marvel at the way Perlengold is able to make a reader feel the feels and actually visualize sceneries in details so vivid you really have to take a break mid reading as it gets intense, in a good way! 

I’ll forever be in awe of fanfic writers who have this magical ability 😭💗

CONFESSION: 

I can’t run into the Qunari encampment during DA2, I always walk slowly, purposefully, dignified. It drove my brothers crazy when they watched me. One of them finally asked me “Why the hell are you walking so slowly??” to which I answered “One does not simply run before the Arishok”.

two essential skills for artists

“good enough” and “fuck it”

“good enough” is when you are working on something and are happy with most of it but can live with a few imperfections, useful when needing to move on from sketch to inking/coloring or what have you.

“fuck it” is when you absolutely hate what you’re doing every step of the way but you post it anyways, very useful during art blocks.

both are useful to help you move on and not obsess over making it perfect, because art is anything but perfect, even photo realistic artists probably see imperfections that someone else might not catch 

these can also be applied to other things in life
