You took a knife to the neck last year and still you can’t see it, don’t understand that Hell isn’t some place underneath us, all filled up with fire and brimstone. Hell is right here, and I’ve been damned for a long time.

I do not support pedophilic, abusive, and harmful ships.
Shaladin? Is not any of those things. If you haven't learned that by now, you need to get it through your fucking skull. People can headcanon what they want with their ships and that's that.
"Ew! OP is a nasty Shallie!1!!" Is what an anti would say. Oh. You are? Why am I not surprised?
I don't ship Shidge. I'm uncomfortable with it. Shance? Nuh uh. Shunk? Shallura? Nah. I dislike a lot of the same ships antis do, but I'm not an anti. I don't even consider myself a fucking shaladin! I don't care what you ship! But if you actually do depict that ship in a negative, gross way, then I will block you!
The difference between you and me is that I can openly say that I have never sent anybody threats, bullied/harassed other fans, or knowingly supported people who did or continue to do those things. I don't say that a ship/character is the "scum of the earth" or a "disgusting piece of shit." You are not being critical towards the character and the fans, but you are being hateful towards them. The beauty of fiction is that WE CAN CHANGE IT. It doesn't have to be a certain way!
Yes. I'm a Sheith shipper. Oh no! Two adults! I ship what I want. Pretentious, immature, odious teenagers will not be stopping me from that.
Please. I'm curious. Give me canon reasons why Sheith is "wrong." Cite your sources.
I have more NoTPs than actual ships in Voltron. When I say I ship one "problematic" pairing, a part of the fandom goes nuts. Do you genuinely care about the well-being of other people in the fandom? Or do you care more about your ship being Canon?
Reevaluate your stance on this. Do you really mean what you say when claiming these ships are "disgusting?" Or do you want to fit in a bubble with people who say hateful things about characters and ships to progress their personal ships/characters?
I'm in my own area. I dislike all Shaladin ships except for Sheith so am I still a Shaladin? I don't "fit" in a certain area but I'm no anti and never will be.

If you have sent death threats or aggressively rude messages to any VA or Production member unfollow me.
If you support anybody who has sent anything like what I just mentioned, unfollow me.
I have no time for your bullshit. I will not tolerate anybody who can’t be a decent human being. This goes beyond shipping. If you send anybody a death threat, you are a piece of shit.

Hi leo! Do you have a masterpost of the staff talking about or anything sheith related from them?
Alright I’ll probably miss something here but I’m gonna try, so bear with me–just sticking to what I felt was most important, so let’s get to it:
Joaquim: “He latches onto Shiro at times because Shiro’s sort of the only thing that can really calm him down and keep him in check.” (source). This was from one of the initial interviews where they were describing their personalities of each of the paladins, so it’s something we’ve known since very early on.
Josh: “Also, I know the fandom has already started shipping Keith and Shiro. If a name hasn’t yet been suggested, I’d like to submit ‘Sheith.’” (source). Before Voltron even aired, Josh had already coined the ship name and clearly supported it. Interesting how people were already building hype for sheith so early on, and I absolutely love it (especially since this was back before antis tried to ruin it).
Art director Chris Palmer’s Shiro loves you, baby #he’s looking at keith drawing. This came out very early on as well, about a few weeks after I’d watched the first season I think. It was really heartwarming to see, and made me all the happier about shipping sheith.
Josh: “[Keith’s] constantly scared that he’s gonna do something or say something wrong and he’s gonna lose Shiro.” (source). From an interview following season 2. You can tell Josh really feels for Keith here and knows just how much Shiro means to him.
Bex: “That shot where the only two lions that you see kind of outside of the lions are Black and the Red…I just love those two shots, where you’re looking outside through the Red and you see Keith. And then you see the Black Lion in the background, and you’re looking at Shiro and you see the Red.”
Joaquim: “Lauren storyboarded that scene.” (source) A really interesting bit of an interview following season 2. They’re talking about that scene where everyone else is knocked unconscious and shown to be alone. But then Shiro and Keith have each other’s Lions in the background, and it’s really neat to see Joaquim confirm that it was very much intentional. No matter what, these two are always meant to be together.
Steven: “I actually think that [Keith] was in more or less ways called upon to be a leader from the beginning. That’s not to say the leader of Voltron, but to say that Shiro always took him under his wing. Keith always hoped that he could reach a place where Shiro was and hopefully more. I think Shiro saw that in him and tried to stoke those flames and cultivate that within him. There’s a nice history that he and Shiro have where if Shiro were to ask him to do that, he would understand where it was coming from.” (source). A really fantastic quote from Steven Yuen here about the nature of Shiro and Keith’s relationship. It really is a shame it’s so often overlooked.
Joaquim: “[Keith’s] got this emotional side to him.”
Lauren: “It’s kind of exasperated by the fact that Shiro’s gone. Like he’s having a hard time dealing with it, he doesn’t really know how to feel. And I think he just goes back to that inner part of himself where it’s just—he can’t control his emotions. And that comes from the galra side.” (source). From an interview following Shiro’s disappearance, where they really tried to drive home the fact that losing Shiro was this very gutting, visceral process of grief. Shiro was his anchor, and without him, Keith just couldn’t cope.
Joaquim: “[Shiro] and Keith have the closest relationship.”
Lauren: “The Black Lion probably got from Shiro what Shiro saw in Keith.” (source). Followup on why Black chose Keith. Something we expected all along, but still so nice to hear it out loud. And yes, more than anyone else, Shiro and Keith are the closest. It’s lovely.
Josh: Yeah, Keith’s kinda getting dragged into it kicking and screaming–not really, I mean, he knows that this is kinda what he needs to do. But he’s still questioning himself. And Shiro sees the greatness in him, and wants to help that come to fruition. (source). You’ll all remember this as being from that little bait and switch where we thought Keith would still pilot Black. Really interesting point here though, but…Josh says Shiro “sees the greatness in him.” Which, you know, sounds incredibly similar to Allura telling Lance, “You have greatness within.” Kinda drives home this romantic aspect to it a bit.
Lauren: “Keith is not going to take Shiro’s black outfit and wear it. He would never do that to his beloved mentor.” (source). Beloved. Beloved,, I,, I–
Josh: “I mean at that point, Keith has basically come up to him and expressed what he wants and what he needs. And Shiro is–he’s selfless enough to see that. He’s selfless enough to see that this is something that Keith needs to do.” (source). Josh discussing how Shiro felt about letting Keith leave the team.
Josh: And he knows Keith. Keith’s the one that, at that point, he’s the closest to in the story. I mean, he’s got a history with Keith. He’s stuck his neck out a lot for him. Keith got kicked out of the garrison, and Shiro’s friends with him, and you know–I’m sure that there’s other backstory there.” (source). Always good to hear some Backstory hinted at again. Especially now that we know in hindsight that Keith got kicked out because of Keith. So yeah, “other backstory there” indeed,,
Josh [on the topic of what Shiro would tell Keith about his attempted self-sacrifice]: “And that was a conversation where [Kolivan] was telling him, You have to be ready to die for it, you know? It would’ve been the reverse of the Kolivan conversation, where he probably said dude–no, he wouldn’t say ‘dude,’ but–he said, Keith, this isn’t how we do things, you know? We all have to be there for each other, and What would that have solved? And–You just wouldn’t be here, and it would’ve been that. For sure. I don’t think he knew, though. I don’t think anybody knew.” (source). Not strictly sheith, but I think, What would that have solved? You just wouldn’t be here, was a bit of a touching sentiment so I included it.
Barlee’s drawn sheith art before–the famous BOM one with Shiro cradling Keith in his arms comes to mind. But at one point she posted one of Shiro and Keith calling them bros, and fans insisted it was just bro/ganes. She disabled comments after that, and antis smugly claimed she did it so sheith fans wouldn’t bother her for posting bro/ganes. She actually disabled comments for the exact opposite reason, and didn’t want antis using her art as some way to justify not shipping sheith:

Art supervising director Kihyun Ryu starts blessing us with his sheith art and I gain like 10 years on my life,,
Why was Keith booted from the garrison?
Joaquim: “You know why Iverson has a closed eye permanently? There you go. He was, you know…not really knowing how to cope with his galra side, so. He raged out a little–”
Lauren: “Yeah, and he was not coping well with the loss of Shiro. Things take an impact and maybe he got a little…a little out of hand.”
Joaquim: “Iverson got in his face, and he got decked for it, and he did some permanent damage to the guy’s eye.”
Lauren: “Yep.” (source). So fucking glad this was finally confirmed,, it’s absolutely beautiful…love the entire concept…thank you for my life,,
So we know how Allura and Shiro reacted to Keith’s galra reveal. What about the other paladins?
Lauren: “I think the rest knew Keith well enough to know it’s not a big issue. And they don’t know much about galra–do you grow purple fur at some point? But Allura has that history, so…”Joaquim: “And with Shiro, we have that history. But he loves Keith, so he sees the good in him.” (source). HE LOVES KEITH,, HE LOVES HIM,, EVERYONE ELSE GO HOME WE HAVE A WINNER–
Lauren: “But he would have come out to space for Shiro, cause Shiro was his family.
Joaquim: “That is true.”
Lauren: “So he understands, I think, as much as [Pidge] does, about needing to ‘save that person in space.’” (source). Getting into all that recent stuff now, but yeah, this was during the interview where others tried to suggest Keith didn’t understand what it was like to experience the loss of a family. Lauren was quick to point out that he had lost Shiro though, and that the impact of that was very real for him.
So yeah, here’s just some stuff off the top of my head. Hope that helps, anon! If anything, I just want people to know that the staff really does care about their intimate, intricately well developed dynamic.

If all you're going to do is complain about Voltron, piss over the VAs and production team, and be an overall dickhead, get the fuck out. We don't want you or your negativity. It's okay to be critical, but it's different to be an asshole.
You complain about lack of character development for some of the characters (ie. Hunk and Lance). LM and JDS said they will have their time. Quite frankly, not all characters need a back story to help their development. We don't need to know every single detail about them and why they're like a certain way. I love Hunk and Lance's characters and I don't think they need a backstory or an extremely complex arc.
You complain about POC representation. You want to see it with Hunk and Lance. You got it! Lance is Cuban, Hunk is Samoan. "But that's not enough!!!1!1" Did your thick skull forget that Shiro, Takashi Shirogane, is of Asian descent? Or are you too focused on his fucking "eyeliner?"
Don't fucking complain about character development when you disregard what is already there. You are all too busy about your fucking favorite ship or character to look at Voltron as a series. There is representation, there is character development, and there will be more to come. Be patient with the creators.
If you send hate to the VAs, production team, or any person in the fandom, you're a piece of shit. Don't be mad at them because they can't satisfy your every need in the series. Don't harrass them! They did nothing wrong. "Uwu Josh ships sheith!!" That's not new. He made the fucking ship name. Stop pulling up your old bullshit in order to hate the production team even more.
TL;DR If all you're going to do is complain about the series, harass the production team and voice actors, and hate other fans, STOP WATCHING THE FUCKING SHOW AND GET OUT OF THE FANDOM.

Prompt: To tired to lie
Uh… I tried. :/
Keith was tired.
Shiro had been avoiding him. Keith knew it was all because after a particularly rough mission Keith told him he loved him, and had loved him since their days at the Garrison. Keith hadn’t expected much, maybe a “I’m sorry, buddy,” or a “you’re like a brother to me,” and in his wildest dreams maybe even an “I love you, too.” Point was, they were fighting dangerous missions on the daily and there was no way Keith would die without Shiro knowing how he felt. He didn’t need Shiro to love him the way Keith loved him, but what he did need is to let Shiro know.
He didn’t get an “I love you, too” or an “I’m sorry, buddy” or even “you’re like a brother to me.” Shiro had simply left the room they were in together without a word and hadn’t said anything but what was purely necessary to Keith since then.
It had been two weeks since that talk, or, in Keith’s terms, too long for Shiro not to ignore him.
Gathering all of his courage, Keith decided he couldn’t go on any longer having Shiro avoid him. He’d lost him before, and there was no way he could do it again. He especially couldn’t with Shiro just within his reach.
He found Shiro looking at Pidge’s new tech. Keith felt his heart hurt when he saw Shiro’s soft smile directed at the young girl who was excitedly talking in terms that Keith couldn’t bother to pay attention to.
He missed that smile being directed at him.
“Shiro,” Keith said, sounding much more strongly than he felt at the moment. “Can I talk to you?”
Shiro opened his mouth, then closed it. He simply nodded, before giving a quick word to Pidge about how he’d return to her shortly. He followed Keith silently to Keith’s room.
Once Keith and Shiro were both inside the quiet space, Keith felt emotions that he’d bottled up over the course of two weeks feel like they were going to boil over.
Shiro, of course, didn’t say a word, only adding to Keith’s feelings of frustration and desperation. He simply looked at the everywhere in the room but at Keith and had his arms crossed over his chest.
“I’m tired of this, Shiro,” Keith finally said, trying desperately to make his voice void of emotion. It didn’t work. He was horrified at the sound of his voice cracking mid-sentence. “I’m so fucking tired of this.”
Shiro only hung his head toward his chest, apparently understanding exactly what Keith was talking about. He looked defeated, and that in and of itself caused Keith to feel like the air had been kicked from his lungs. The last thing he ever wanted was to hurt Shiro. He didn’t know how he’d get through this talk.
No. He couldn’t think like that. He had to talk until Shiro would willingly be his good friend again. It didn’t matter to Keith if he loved him or not–it’d sting, sure, but what he needed was to hear Shiro’s voice and to feel Shiro’s touch again. He couldn’t stand the quiet anymore.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” Keith accused, but with no bite to his words. “Please, Shiro. Tell me what’s wrong.”
He didn’t want to yell, he just wanted Shiro to talk to him again. He wanted back the Shiro who’d touch his shoulder and smile at him–the Shiro he’d fallen in love with. All he’d gotten recently was a short word or two and barely there glances when he was addressing the team. It was killing him how Shiro was acting distant and cold toward him.
“I can’t give you what you want, Keith,” Shiro said to the ground. His voice was soft, and Keith had to strain his ears just to hear him. “I know what you want and I… I can’t give it to you.”
“What are you talking about?” Keith questioned bewilderedly, not understanding.
“I’m not who I was,” Shiro said with a pointed look at his Galra hand. “I can’t give you the man you loved before back at the Garrison. I-I’ve changed too much.”
Keith let out a humourless laugh. “Really? That’s why you’ve been avoiding me? Because you think I deserve better?”
“A lot of things happened when I was imprisoned,” Shiro continued. “I did things… things I remember more and more of everyday.” He looked right up into Keith’s eyes. “I don’t deserve you, Keith.”
Keith didn’t know how to feel at that. Shiro thought Keith deserved better? No. Keith knew Shiro deserved way better than what life has given him. Keith didn’t know what he himself “deserved,” but what he did know is what he wanted. He wanted Shiro, and the older man could do nothing to change that fact.
Keith rushed forward and wrapped his arms tightly around Shiro. “Stop talking like that, Shiro. You mean a lot to me, and you mean a lot to the team too. You shouldn’t put yourself down like that when you don’t deserve it. What you did in imprisonment you did because you had to, and I understand that. I’d never be able to forgive you if you’d let yourself die without fight and a cause. Don’t do this to yourself, please.”
Keith heard Shiro’s breath hitch before he hesitantly placed his arms around Keith to return the hug.
“I’m tired too,” Shiro admitted softly into Keith’s hair. “Tired of lying. I love you too, Keith. I do, and I’m tired of trying to tell myself I don’t because I shouldn’t. I’m sorry if I hurt you.”
Keith knew this couldn’t fix everything. He knew that “I love you, too” wasn’t the end of Shiro’s insecurities, but it was a start of something bigger. They could build a relationship here in space, they were good at overcoming obstacles.

It's so sad to see people just want Canon content of their ship over actual plot/character progression in a series :/
It's disappointing to see people disregard the Canon relationship between two individuals who genuinely care for each other just because they think their ship is better.
I hate seeing people tear down another character just so their favorite can have their "shining moment."
It disgusts me to see hatred thrown at creators of a series just because their ship isn't canon.

I'm seeing some ants talking about how LM's comment about Shiro being Keith's family is incestuous and reaching.
First of all, if you claim that Shiro and Keith are actual brothers, you're racist. That's that. There has been (believe it or not) no canonical evidence that Shiro and Keith are brothers. If your reasoning is "Shiro. You're like a brother to me," I don't think you understand what a simile is. It is not literal. There have been other instances when other paladins mention the team being like family. So why is Keith saying it to Shiro any different?
When LM said "Shiro was Keith's family," I personally did not see that as a literal familial thing. Family isn't just parents and their children. Family is the people you love and hold dear to you: the most irreplaceable people in your life. To Keith, Shiro is that person.
Secondly, how in the world are Sheith shippers reaching? There is probably triple, if not more, Canon content of Sheith compared to other ships. Kihyun Ryu, Chris Palmer, Lauren Montgomery, and Joaquim Dos Santos all have mentioned something about Keith and Shiro's relationship. Josh Keaton coined the ship name and Bex Taylor Klaus enjoyed shipping Sheith!
This is to Klantis. K/L has been shut down multiple times before. Both by Lauren and Joaquim. Lauren is well aware of the hate that is passed around in this fandom. She even said "I’m just going to invite all the hate mail on myself and say I wasn’t expecting Klance."
Believe it or not, this is still a kids show. If they were to make KL Canon, why make their interactions so miniscule compared to Shiro and Keith's relationship? They weren't expecting KL because KL was never really supposed to be a thing.
Just the sheer desperation of antis wanting KL to be canon is amazing. (Over) Analyzing color schemes of scenes between them, the dialogue they share with each other, and "oh I think he was looking at Lance!", etc is so common, but once Sheith shippers do it it's reaching? We don't need to harass the creators about our ship. We don't trash talk other Voltron fans just because they ship two adults together.
It wouldn't even make any sense for KL to become canon! Keith didn't even know Lance existed until the Trio walked in on Keith saving Shiro! We never see Keith and Lance interacting as intimately as Keith and Shiro do. It's a TV show so reasoning that "oh! They're more intimate off screen. The creators won't show us," that's a reach. Remember that this is a show marketed to children. LM and JDS want that lgbt+ representation in the series so why would they hide it? They want (reasonably) blatant representation and you can definitely see that with Keith and Shiro's relationship.
Even if you don't ship it! You cannot deny that Keith and Shiro are undeniably close. You cannot disregard the importance of Shiro to Keith and vice versa. I'm just so sick and tired of hearing the creators being harassed and bullied. I'm tired of pretentious teenagers bashing on people who ship different things and think so high and mighty of themselves because they are an anti.
TL;DR Sheith shippers will never reach as muh as Klantis and don't be a fucking asshole.
