Ren tugs Martyn around a corner to stand with him with their backs against the wall. When Martyn opens his mouth to speak, he’s immediately hushed again, this time with one of Ren’s fingers pressing gently against his lips.

They’re both frozen- Ren listening, and Martyn… distracted. There’s a shuffle of footsteps, and the wooden floors of the old house creak. Ren’s breath hitches. Martyn felt like he couldn’t breathe since he got pulled here. Until-

“Uh, guys? I got the spare batteries now-“

“Etho- Dude, you scared me half to death, man!” Ren laughs, finally lowering his paw from Martyn’s face, and going up to take his now-working flashlight from Etho’s hands. He turns when he notices Martyn isn’t following. “Martyn? You okay there? You’re all red.”

“Huh? Oh yeah, fine-“.

He decides to discretely turn away from Etho’s camera for the next couple of minutes of filming.
