Here’s a post from a while back about the fam!

Basically Holly was born to Squirrel at almost the same time as Leaf’s litter (I’m thinking that Squirrel went into labor due to the stress of the situation) and due to this Squirrel was able to take in Leaf’s kits and raise them alongside Holly! This also meant that later on when the prophecy comes to light the 3 assume that Holly is the 3rd cat, however she is not, Dove, Jay and Lion’s litter mate that died was and must be reincarnated again to fulfill the prophecy. Holly more so looses her shit after she finds out the truth about her and her sibling’s parentage because the lies had led her to believe she was a part of the prophecy something that she had felt gave her a purpose and importance that she now knows she never actually had.

Holly actually IS a reincarnation but she doesn’t learn that until after she ends up trapped in the cave, also she doesn’t have any powers.

Po3 Powers Idea

I like Jay and Dove’s powers mostly, but I really dont like Lion’s, his is really vague. And I feel like it doesnt really fit with the other powers/ gifts from starclan that we have seen? Pretty much all “powers” are sort of psychic or have to do with senses. Lion can just fight good? or maybe heal well? (his power is extremely vague) his power feels more like a superhero power rather than a divine blessing.

So here’s my idea for the power line ups! Jay and Dove stay pretty much the same, Im just writing their’s out to have a set idea/rules for them. 

Lion: He is able to know that that something will happen before it does. He basically has a form of future telling! He is able to know what a cat will do before they do it, or what a prey item will do! This means he is extremely good at fighting and hunting because he is always one step ahead of his opponent! If he stretches his power far enough he is able to see farther into the future!

Jay: He is basically psychic, he can sense people’s emotions and really get into their heads. he always feels others emotions, but if he puts effort into it he is able to know cat’s thoughts as well! While asleep, Jay is freed from his physical body and is able to enter cat’s minds and their dreams. 

Dove: Her physical senses are heightened, she can hear, see and smell more strongly and for farther distances, allowing her to know about things far outside of her territory. Her ability to taste and feel is also more acute so she is able to tell things about objects that others would not be able to know.

I like these paired together because they seem to be more psychic and divine rather than superheroes! they have the power of the stars, and since the stars communicate through feeling and mind, it only makes since that the 3 would have similar powers!

ok i swear im not trying to do this but i just — i am NOT happy with the mothpool children (jay, holly, and lion, if you’re unfamiliar with my rewrite). so, i designed moth and leaf. Theyre my base point as they shouldve been from the fucking beginning idk why this was so hard for me.

Also im going to be basing the three off different kinds of moths. Holly will be based on a cinnabar moth, Lion will be based on the Io moth (same moth as mothwing), and jay will be based on the “long blue tiger moth” (or the blue day moth).

An alternative design for firecrest, in fact the one i’m using, inspired by @cryptidclaw ‘s drawings of a black rusted fireheart! They also made the base, but i did heavily edit it- And i did use their redtail as inspiration for the tail shape.
