Yoglabs: Behind Closed Doors - Rythian Enderborn

With dawnlight bringing back a lot of rythian traction, it seemed about time to throw down all my headcanons for everyone's favourite edgelord turned ray of sunshine. I’ll include a little bit about my ideas around the dawnlight teaser chapter too!

Rythian Enderborn

So, to start off we begin with Rythian's parents; a young couple of scientists working on studying the end (as of yet undiscovered) and uncovering the first end portal. At this point the idea is that Rythian's mother is in the early days of pregnancy. When his parents make it to the end, they’re met with the ender queen, aka the dragon who notices the child and sees an opportunity. Since herself and her endermen can only be away from the end for a limited time, she she's a chance to have someone under her wing who can spend any amount of time away from the end. In return for Rythian's parent’s freedom, she demands their firstborn, infusing the child with ender magic before he's even born.

My thoughts are a little hazy on what exactly happens to his parents, whether they become part of the end legion, are killed, etc. it's likely that his mother dies in childbirth but again, I'm not 100% on the specifics.

Regardless, the ender queen takes rythian as her own son and heir. Training him in both magic and combat. Over time rythian questions why he's so different from the others, going so far as to cut open his own mouth to be more like his ender brethren, and questions why he has to be a killer. He finds tomes and studies on the old magics of dawn which focus more on life and creation than the current dark magics of the end which are more akin to destruction and illusions.

Coming to the realisation that he's not actually a being of the end, he flees, slaying several endermen on his way out. In order to hide his traces, he fashioned a scarf from the remains of one of the endermen, cloaking him to appear as just another enderman to any forms of divination from the queen.

I had this idea that in order to do so the scarf kinda becomes a part of him, in that he can actually feel and see through it, so were it to be cut, it would actually hurt him.

I also had the idea that the eyes on the scarf change colour along with rythian’s depending on which magic he’s using. With the purple being the more destructive dark magics and the teal being the older magics of dawn.

Rythian’s magic infusion also makes him more sensitive to other magical energies, such as flux. Were he to be infected with flux it would spread much more fiercely and rapidly than it does for Lalna and Nano, which is why for Behind Closed Doors’ story, he does actually need help to deal with Five.

Dawnlight

Fast forward to where we are currently with Dawnlight. My ideas surrounding Rythian's new look and interesting introduction for this series being the results of defeating the ender queen. Much like the lich king, there must always be a ruler of the end. So in order to truly defeat the ender queen, Rythian instead takes her place being reborn as the new monarch of dawn. Now comes the interesting bit. The egg, and how long this rebirth has taken. (I'll make a note here, I've not yet had a chance to watch dawnlight, so bare with me here) but the question arises of where are they? Because the egg landing in the overworld creates a few questions. But what if they're actually in the kingdom of dawn which has been revived to a former state with the coming of a new king? The light has returned to Dawn maybe? I've seen people also mentioning Zoeya’s appearance changing too, so I’ll need to look into that some more before anything’s more concrete, but lemme know you guy’s thoughts!

It took my wife pointing out that the original name for the end in rythian's story was dawn and the new series is called dawnlight.

im just a silly little creature doing my best to be noticed and make a cosy little space on the internet for people to hang and put their art up on the fridge.

i literally just left a VC where we were talking about how my server has become this cosy little box where people hang out and enjoy company without the pressure to speak or play stuff together but just like, knowing people are around yknow?

thats the kinda thing im doing my best to give people. a space for everyone to just feel chill, cosy and not pressured into being active or anything.

probably one of my favourite things is seeing people start their art journeys and post things in my server, but even more so is watching people come out of their shells and improve over time. whether that be in terms of creating or just generally being more talkative or just comfortable with who they are.

in terms of yogs though? making yog fanart was just the first step i took to my art actually feeling like mine. finding a style i vibed with and just having this group of silly people playing minecraft to make art of. i dont draw as much yog art these days, but theyll always mean alot to me in terms of my own art journey, but also my online journey of being someone people say "hey, i think ive heard of them."
