we fell together so easily was all. like you belonged against me. i don’t usually trust people like that. i don’t usually let people near me. something about you was a soft spot, an opening. i don’t know if i believe in soul mates. but i know how i feel around you.

usually i present pretty “straight” but the minute i hear “ugh why do gay people have to shove it in our faces” i don’t know what happens something snaps in me. like i hear the words and suddenly i am in a shifting costume of leather and flannel, my skin becoming a rainbow. i vomit glitter, sobbing tears that sing Lady Gaga lyrics. “why did you have to say that?” i ask. my hair is now shaved down one side and is colored to spell gay af under neon lights. three girlfriends who all own snakes manifest beside me. they are all bikers. as one we murmur why, deborah as we approach her. our hands are the physical representation of gay. we must attach. feed. shove it in her face. suck out The Straight

The unstable A-grav cores were scattered everywhere after the dispersal. You’ll recognise them by their black glassteel casing

don’t let the gender binary determine how you draw people.
