Oh, an achievement (hidden and worth 0 AP) in the final instance that I can only get as a norn? Well, I could ask around until a nice stranger brings me into their instance...or I could create a whole new alt, lend it my gear, and pick and chip my weak ass through the entire story just to get to that instance. Yep. No talking to strangers for me!

...but I do still need help with a different achievement that I can't do solo and I can't exactly create alternate people to help me kill faster. Well. That will get done...someday.

Haven’t actually played GW2 in about a month…nothing pulls me back like a whole bunch of new achievements to get.

guild wars is an insane setting because it's a normal fantasy world but also the closest elf analogue that exists is humanity. what people would at first glance assume to be ""elves"" are actually just vaguely humanoid plant monsters made to serve an unbelievably ancient god-dragon that's also a living jungle and also all of the plant people are at maximum 25 years old because their entire species are basically collectively babies in terms of how long they've existed in-universe. also the orcs are giant cat people. the gnomes are rats. the dwarves are normal but also they're steadily going extinct and also all living rock people now. nobody even knows what a horse is

Randomly remembering this time before megaservers were a thing and new Teq had just come out and to get it done I had to server-hop onto a server that was a) the best at stuff and b) not the friendliest people based on my dungeon pugging experience (though I think that came later), and I had to join their TeamSpeak, and the minute I spoke up I could practically hear them all thinking “omg a girl” and they were like unreasonably nice to me the whole time, which remarkably didn’t get too creepy and was at least better than being yelled at because I was literally getting less than a frame per second and had no idea what was going on so I was basically just hitting random keys. Now I’m kinda wondering if anyone who was there ever thinks “hey, remember that time we had a girl in our server? That was cool.”

I am really fucking angry about the way they fucked up the stuff eaters. Instead of double clicking and it gives me a bag, it pulls up a buy screen where all I can buy is the bag. I don't care one bit if it pulls from the bank now, and surely they could do that without reworking the damn ass system. Fuck this shit.

The problem: there was an event for an achievement but doing the event didn't count for the achievement.

The fix: now it supposedly counts, but I can't confirm that because somehow in fixing it they managed to create a whole different bug, and now the enemy only spawns for ten seconds instead of ten minutes.

Maybe this would make sense to me if I were a programmer.
