My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza
My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.

‼️‼️We will die at any moment‼️‼️

The war has returned after 15 months of death and genocide. We have never rested. We are losing people every day, most of them children and women... The bombing is everywhere. Our children are afraid...The sound is frightening.😭
There is no food, no drink, no medicine, the crossing is closed and everything is expensive.
‼️We don't want to die. Please donate and help us so we can buy food and medicine for my mother and save ourselves from death. Just donate. 😭🙏😞🫂‼️

We hope you can help us
build our lost home🏡
Aboud’s family is from Gaza. They lived a peaceful, simple life, filled with love, hope, and stability in their beautiful home. But the war left them with nothing but pain and loss. In one night, they lost their home, 🏡💣 their safe haven, and became homeless. Their only source of income disappeared, and their children were deprived of education and their most basic rights. The family was scattered in an attempt to survive and was displaced five times. ⛺️🇵🇸
Aboud's family consists of seven members. Aboud has Down syndrome and requires healthcare and treatment abroad, along with basic necessities for his family. 🥖
Today, the family lives in harsh conditions, struggling to secure their basic needs 😥. The children, who once dreamed of a bright future, now live in constant fear of the unknown. Despite all of this, the family has not lost hope, believing that goodness still exists in people's hearts. 💖🌹🍉
They desperately need your support to help Aboud receive treatment💊, rebuild his life, secure a safe 🏡 , and return their children to school 🏫 . Every donation, no matter how small, can be a ray of hope that brightens their dark path. 🕊️❤️
Thanks to your generous hearts, Aboud’s family can restore hope and rebuild their lives. 🇵🇸🍉🌿🇵🇸
Thank you for your generosity and support. We are grateful for every contribution you make.🥹

So, the Supreme Court made a decision.
I know, I know, I’m very late to talk about this. I also know my opinion means about as much as a paper umbrella, but nonetheless, here I go.
As someone trans living in England, things have been worrisome lately. It feels as if the government is taking monumental steps back in terms of our rights, and it’s very hard not to fear for the future. Their definition of women was a slap in the face.
I am a trans woman. I am a woman. I am not a cis woman, or biological woman if the term cisgender offends you. I’ll never be a “real” woman, as certain people love to remind me, and my fellow trans women. Regardless, to have the government make such a cold, stony decision that essentially made us look like a joke is horrific.
There are already petitions sprouting up all over pretty much every form of social media. Pleading for the government to overturn the supreme court’s decision. I implore any of you that read this to sign.
Apart from this, there is another trans related issue. Any transgender people in the Greater Manchester area are hopefully aware of the limited access to healthcare. With only two options, one of which being difficult to apply to, it’s absurdly hard to even have a consultation. People are waiting upwards of 5+ YEARS due to this.
I have started a petition, and I hope you’ll consider signing, to ask that Bury Council open a brand new Gender Clinic. It may not be as big, or important as the supreme court, but hopefully we can use that to our advantage. We aren’t asking to change the world, just have more access to healthcare.
Please sign and share this petition. With every signature, the chances increase that one day, a young trans person can find care in a reasonable timeframe.
