A redraw of this fine fellow. Turns out drawing various incarnations of the same character almost exclusively for a period of several months will mean you get pretty good (at drawing that one character)! I must tag @imaginaryanon as this is of her Darth Lumis from the amazing (now - and deservedly so - infamous) ‘Wicked Thing’.

I will get him up on my Society6 tomorrow, hopefully, for those of you interested in prints/merch! C:

FINGERS PRESS INTO WOOD,    knuckles almost white against the tabletop adorning the investigator’s home.          ❛      Please,   Ben,   I have nothing important to do for the rest of tonight.    Besides,   it must be urgent if you’ve called so late.    Your work is what keeps this city functioning;    I can stay as long as you’d require.     ❜     He leans to examine Ben’s papers,    though he’s memorized every image.    Of course he’s managed to copy his work onto his own data file,     but Vader also witnessed the violence firsthand.     Blooded corpses,    crime scenes       ————       his handy work,    done in the name of power and possession.    

Oh,    how amusing it all was.    Every murder displayed and thrown into Ben’s lap,    only to have the boss of the organization standing above him,   peeking over his shoulder with open invitation;    two,   three steps ahead.     A smile flits across smug features,    momentarily,    before turning attention to the paper Kenobi refers.    His usual slack jaw clenches at the various names half  -   burnt upon crisp paper,    and Vader revels in how    UTTERLY   IRONIC   it is that Kenobi stands beside the very man he’s dedicated his current life in finding.    He thinks about it often,    and he can’t help but delve in his fantasies of cat and mouse.    He would be lying if he said he hadn’t enjoyed the investigator tailing after him.

 (     ALRIGHT    BEN,    I’LL   PLAY   THIS   GAME.    )   

❛     Why Investigator,       ❜        he teases,       ❛        This city has become famous for it’s potent heroin strands.    The name it goes by is Kyber      ——–       it’s all over the news.     ❜     Blue eyes cast downwards,    to Jabba’s men merely an artistic display on grimy film.     He reaches for the image,    head tilting at the gruesome bodies,    flames licking the surrounding buildings.    Whomever left the list of names at the crime scene had obviously been waiting for his departure.    He’s almost sure the pocket’s of his victims were empty before he had made his exit;    he was never sloppy.   The image is returned to the table,    Vader’s figure leaning ever   -   closer to Ben as he points to flame licked paper.   The heat of his body is the only comfort he’s had,    yet he reminds himself he must be presentable for business.    He’d been called for help,     afterall. 

❛    Perhaps it is a long shot after the damage,    but have you considered running a finger scan on this paper?    These men     ———     they could be connected to this drug ring.    This may give you a lead.     ❜    Truthfully,    he was curious to find the infiltrator himself.    His name,   though well known across the city,    did not belong in Ben’s apartment.     He’d have to find the one who’d planted the paper before Ben.

FROM A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW   there’s absolutely nothing normal about this picture ;  a )  ben is not even supposed to be on this case. Mr. Windu made that absolutely clear when it was decided that Quinlan were to take is place as lead investigator.  b )  Ben would most likely get fired were the department to learn about the missing files.   & c )  when on EARTH did someone like BEN KENOBO   –– someone who always kept to themselves when at home ––   start having  ‘ friends ’  over ? Ben allows Anakin to take a moment to get a better look of it all :  the pictures neatly arranged with strings of various colors lined from one to another,  blurry images of whom are to believed to be suspects,  evidences  &  so much more.    this TABLE OF CONTENT is proof of the many thoughts  &  speculations that may appear in the mind of a man more organized than most.   except for in his mind, that is –––––––

         ❛   HEROIN STRANDS ?  ❜    not quite what he’d expected    ❛  sounding more like a type of crystalline drug if you’d ask’d me  ❜    taking one last glance over Anakin’s shoulder, Ben makes a leave for the kitchen area.  there he takes out two smaller glasses from a cabinet before pouring out two glasses of a delicate, auburn liquor.  & as he walks back into the livingroom area, Anakin still leaning over his workspace, he steals just a few moments to enjoy his presence from afar.   when Anakin turns to meet, Ben is already up by his side  ( standing maybe a little too close, hm ? )  ,    one hand extended with the offer to join him to a drink.    that’s not weird, right ?  standing this close –––––   their breaths mingling for a mere second,  the warmth of their bodies as their shoulders touches as Ben leans in to take a closer look at the paper.

           ❛   why, you think someone planted it on purpose ?  someone playing cat & mouse with me  ❜    amused by the thought alone, there’s a hint if a grin appearing in the corner of his moth as he takes a step back.  ❛  i’ll have quinlan take it for a few tests in the lab tomorrow morning. –––––  any idea who it might be ?    i mean ....   ❜  please, just shut up ben,  ❛  do you think it’s connected to your –––  ❜  ..... your case ?     taking a few more steps back, it takes him only a few seconds before he’s found his usual place in the comfort of his couch not far away.   ❛  i’m sorry, i probably shouldn’t bring all this up again.  ❜   (  please come join me. please stop talking about work.  )
