Another fabulous review from one of our private clients. We always say to our clients we can help you as little or as much as you feel you need us. This was a case of ‘less is more’, with the client project managing everything. We offered design advice which included recommending the woodwork in the chalet was sandblasted to be taken back to the beautiful blond colour you see in the photos. All furniture and artwork in the photos was existing so we spent time together with the client working on the styling and placement of it. It’s not always necessary to throw out the old and bring in the new. A good lesson to be learnt by us all! ‘Kylie did an amazing job of guiding us through our refurbishment. She had her hands full with us wanting to manage the project ourselves but needing constant reassurance and advice on the next steps! Her advice on colour schemes, room layouts and furniture providers was invaluable. We absolutely love how our refurb turned out and despite digging our heels in from time to time, we ended up taking her advice 99% of the time! We have been working on a new project for one of our hotel clients here in Zermatt this week, which (once again) got me looking at the Thonet website. This is always a go to site to explore their product old and new, whether it be for hospitality, offices or someone’s home. Everyone that is reading this has sat on many Thonet chairs in their lifetime. We studied them at university. Thonet is a true design icon brand. The first image here is of the classic 210R - designed in 1900 by Gebrüder Thonet, the second is of one of the new products 520P and 520PF designed in 2020 by Marco Dessi. One of the reasons for our recent absence is that we were working away on a proposal for a beautiful project somewhere else in Europe 😉!
