Always liked the episode of SG-1 when Orlin made a mini Stargate using various parts ordered online and from Major Samantha Carter's toaster. This one at least fits in our apartment, all part of the round LCD work we are doing with the ESP32-S3.

Sich zu überwinden nach Hilfe zu fragen ist das eine, aber was ist wenn man gar nicht weiß wen man fragen soll? Also wer zuständig ist? Ich habe zum Beispiel die Idee (eine von vielen), mich zum Experten für Barrierefreiheit im Internet ausbilden zu lassen, am Besten mit 100%iger Förderung vom Arbeitsamt. Wer hilft mir sowas zu finden? 😱 hat jemand hier Erfahrung mit Weiterbildungen? Klar, es gibt unzählige Portale und Anbieter für Weiterbildungen online. Aber ich blicke da einfach nicht durch. Ich bin vom Angebot total überfordert...

Lil life update! Hhhhhhhhh...

I'm getting a kitchen tomorrow :DDD something a little makeshift still, but a lot less makeshift than my current "hotplate on a table with no sink or shelves" situation. I'll have a sink! I'll (hopefully) be able to hook it up myself and put everything together!

Also finally hung some shelves in my living room for my games and collectibles and important things. My bedroom and the bathroom are still somewhat chaotic and unfinished, but the bath is small and my bedroom is just for sleeping/storage, so it's bearable.

I'm still not further into Phantom Liberty than my last update and hhhhhh I'm dying 😭😭😭 I miss the bois so much, I miss VP. I miss being on tumblr and interacting with everyone's amazing things, but after encountering several spoilers time and time again I'm keeping my visits here to a minimum atm and it sucks xD

But! My new job is still a lot of fun. I'm getting better at some of the programs and tools I didn't use much before. Did a screendesign for a responsive website today - which Ive never done before, but my immediate supervisor really liked it :D And I made a little storyboard for a photoshoot. So that is still going well and I'm liking the team and tasks a lot!

And: I have most of next week off to hopefully finish up all pressing renovations like painting the bathroom, hanging some cabinets and doing some general finalizing in a few corners. AND hopefully I'll finally finish PL xDD

Lea: 

Als Managerin, kann es in brenzligen Phasen stressig werden, man muss einen kühlen Kopf bewahren und mit allen Teammitgliedern ruhig und verständnisvoll umgehen. Ich werde versuchen Konflikte zu vermeiden und Lösungen zu finden, mit denen wir alle gut umgehen können. Ich trage die Verantwortung für dieses Projekt und ziehe die Konsequenzen, wenn etwas nicht funktionieren sollte. 

Evi: 

Als Game Artist besteht immer die Gefahr einer "Creative Art Block", keine passende Idee zu finden, unter Zeitdruck zu arbeiten, kann so eine Blockade hervorbringen. Deshalb werde ich versuchen, nicht zu streng mit mir zu sein, und das Beste aus dem zu machen, was wir haben. Und ich werde versuchen Pausen einzulegen und um Hilfe zu fragen, wenn ich sie brauche. 

Eva: 

Als Designerin kann es schwer werden, die Vorstellungen anderer zu verwirklichen. Ich werde versuchen Feedback und Kritik nicht persönlich zu nehmen, und mich nicht zu stressen. Es werden wahrscheinlich viele Änderungen bevorstehen, was zu einem Zeitdruck führen könnte. Deshalb werde ich versuchen ein gutes Zeitmanagement mit Lea zu planen und eine gute Kommunikation zwischen mir und meinen Teammitgliedern aufrecht zu erhalten.  

Prince: 

Als Tester und Analytiker muss ich meine Meinung objektiv an meine Teammitglieder kommunizieren. Es kann schwer werden mich nicht direkt subjektiv zu äußern, deshalb werde ich versuchen, in Ruhe und verständnisvoll mit allen zu kommunizieren und meine Kritik konstruktiv und respektvoll zu äußern.

Titanfall 2 (MP)

Entwickler: Respawn Entertainment 2016 Publisher: EA Gametesting: Multiplayer - Grenzlandverteidigung (PC Release v2.0.11.0)

Normalerweise spiele ich Solomissionen und keine Multiplayer Modi. Aber nach der Solomission wollte ich einfach mal antesten, ob und wie es sich in der Welt von Titanfall 2 anfühlt. Und ich war überrascht, nachdem ich mein ersten Grenzlandevent gespielt hatte. Ich hatte erwartet, dass mein Avatar nach den ersten Sekunden von einem lauernden und erfahrenden Multiplayer Gegner ausgeschaltet wäre.

Konzept: max. 4 Spieler werden auf einer Karte zusammengebracht und müssen in 5 Wellen zum finalen Sieg kommen. Die K.I. Gegner (Piloten und Titans), besonders die Titans haben's in sich. Da ist viel Aktion und Gegenwehr notwendig. Auch als Anfänger habe ich etwas ausrichten können und bin mit der Gruppe zum Sieg über die Feindwellen gelangt.

Tatsächlich motiviert mich das Game zum weitermachen und ausprobieren weiterer Möglichkeiten (Titans) und Strategien.

Während ich für die Solo Kampagne das Interface etwas in die Kritik genommen habe (vgl. diesen Beitrag vom 10.9.2023), so möchte ich hier das wesentlich komplexere (Statistik, FAQ uvm.) und im Design sehr ansprechende Screendesign positiv hervorheben. Kompliment.

FAZIT Das Aktion reiche Titanfall 2 (PC Version), besonders den Multiplayer, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Ich konnte übrigens kürzlich dazu auch ein Top Preisangebot nutzen.

MJPEGs are a great way to play small animations on TFTs 🎞️ 🖥️ 🔄

With our ESP32-S3 TFT experimenter board, we're now able to use the Arduino_GFX https://github.com/moononournation/Arduino_GFX library by moononournation which has native RGB TFT support and excellent example code. This example is playing MJPEG files, a simple animation format https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_JPEG with just JPEGs glued together. We wired up a MicroSD card over SPI for quick file storage and retrieval, or 1-bit MMC works, too. files are converted with ffmpeg: 'ffmpeg -i "wash.mp4" -vf "fps=10,vflip,hflip,scale=-1:480:flags=lanczos,crop=480:480" -pix_fmt yuvj420p -q:v 9 wash.mjpeg', natch! And then they play, about 9fps is the rate we're getting for 480x480 pixels.
