I love music so damn much

1: Class of 2013 by Mitski, if you know you know, more on the angst and raw side with a touch of melancholy and sweetness to it, it fills my ADHD brain in a way I can't explain and it just hits home, a bit too much at time, one of my core event was when my mom was yelling at me with that song in my headphones, I'll never forget that, but fuck it, I'm a better mom than she'll ever be.

2: P.U.N.K. Girl by Heavenly! Love that song, some indie/twee pop (which is under indie and under post-punk). It's one of my favorite genres. For so many reasons, the guitar? Love it, the lyrics? Even more. Reminds me of my early teen years, and I, as I always say, oldies = goldies.

3: Uummati Attanarsimat (Heart of Glass) by Elisapie (I'm not even going to try staying the name of that song). I love supporting artists from different cultural backgrounds, and if I don't need lyrics to understand and enjoy a song, you know it's good. It made me want to learn more about her Inuktitut origins, and I find it amazing when people truly put a part of themselves in something everyone can enjoy, like music.

4: Don't Tell Me Why by Urbanites. Omg, everyone, look! A small artist! Love 'em to pieces, one of my favorite thing is to support underground music and small artists that actually enjoy music as a hobby, it's authentic, it has a taste to it you can't explain, and so does this one! Modern Rock, which reminds me of the old times, again, is pretty much in my popular genre.

5: Ghost Train by Gorillaz! Classic, what more can I say? Gorillaz lore goes crazy but I miss the old Gorillaz, reject false icons, but become said icon? Damon is really giving his all between Gorillaz, Blur (yes, Blur the band that made Song 2), and his individual career, I think we can agree that Damon is one of the best alt music. Especially the song Ghost Train has an interesting lore, and you don't always need to know about the rest of the lore to pick up on the rest and Jamie always draw with a style that can't be unmatched.

2. God Complex by VIOLENT VIRA (link) If you want yandere inspiration listen to this one. "I wanna be your true love/Yes, I'm the only one you could cry to all the time/I could just be who you need/Darling, won't you just plead Or should I begin to bleed?"

3. Barbie & Ken by Scene Queen & Set It Off (link; warning for: violence, weapons, domestic violence, blood, injury) Honestly, there's not much to explain. Barbie and Ken go at each other with deadly weapons in the Pink Dream House. "Two go in, only one comes out"...reminds me of the barbie games I used to play as a child honestly, lol... (lots of screaming/loud sounds)

4. Call Me King by AmaLee (link) Love the vibe of "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" that is this entire album. Going from victim to villian. 10/10. 100%. This particular song gives me such catharsis. "Call me King/I don't need- need a thing from you now that I'm King".

5. Wrong Side of Heaven by Five Finger Death Punch (link) Can't get enough of this song. Love it so much. (heads up if you are not as into the rock or heavier music, there is some screaming in this one). I just love the idea of a "wrong side of heaven" and a "righteous side of hell"; the idea that there is more to it than just 'good' and 'bad', and that sometimes bad things are done for the good reasons, the question of if that still makes them bad, or does the intent change the entire meaning of the action...Plus it's just so catchy.

if you try to make him do sports he will try to get Vargas back.

I get CNC exists and some victims use it as a means of coping but the good lot of you are just using it because you have some weird rape fantasy. Like be so Fucking for real. (In which case most SA victims denounce this practice too but if I am wrong, please send me further resources so I can educate myself further). If I read one more tag under a König fic that portrays him as a (g) rapist, I’m reporting your whole account 💀. This is fantasy, rape isn’t something I want in something I’m using as a means of escape from the real world. As a victim myself, that’s not what I want to see under the tags I read.

So, after 2 months of working on it... I FINISHED MY DRAGON AND CENTAUR PAINTING!

It was a tough one as it's pretty big (31x11 inches, I think) and there were ups and downs along the way. But... I finished it.

Then... I scanned it in.

Then... I started adding some things DIGITALLY that I was too afraid to try on the finished painting.

First... I added snow.

And... I kinda l liked it.

Then... (this is the tough one)... I added heat distortion around the dragon's mouth. (like the air's so hot it's distorting the image of the trees behind).

And... I kinda liked that too.

I posted a video about it and overwhelmingly everyone liked the digital enhancements.

So... I'm going to make the poster with this one. Not the original.

And normally... this would have bothered me. I would have felt that the original was "more true to my art", but... BOTH of these are "my art".

There's nothing wrong with adding something digitally if you don't feel comfortable doing it traditionally.

There's no "right or wrong" in art. There's no "cheating".

And despite me saying this to others every day... sometimes I need to remind myself about this too.

If you like painting traditionally but there are some things you feel more confident doing DIGITALLY? Scan that traditional art in and DO IT DIGITALLY!

It's YOUR art. You make it any way you want.
