Anyway, I still like this art, maybe just because it's Will. I really adore him and really wish he was better explored in the saga.

Hey, I didn't forget about this, I've just been a little unable to draw lately due to N family and medical issues! Anyway, in the next few days maybe I'll be able to come back and post something, or leave it checked to post automatically.

OMG YES YES YES YES!!!

I think Rick and Mark wanted to focus the story on the emotional rather than the physical reactions and that's why they decided not to give Will a weapon, or that's the excuse I try to fit in at least, because IT'S SO STUPID THAT WILL DIDN'T THINK ABOUT TAKING A WEAPON. AND NOT ONLY WILL, HOW DID CHIRON NOT INSIST THAT HE BRING A SWORD OR A BOW WHEN THEY WERE PACKING HIS BACKPACK???? Like, come on, it's Tartarus. Nico said it wasn't an easy place, he didn't even want to take Will, and then they make him look at all this and think "hmmm, yeah, I don't need a weapon, it's safe" like WTF???? He's a healer, okay. He purposely doesn't want to use weapons, okay. But for someone who was so afraid of just thinking about entering the underworld, don't consider taking anything with him is so senseless. It's a blatant lie!

I really love TSATS, I like the cheesy jokes and cringe-worthy moments they have amidst the chaos of Tartarus and all those monsters chasing them. I enjoyed watching them go through relationship trials. But the way Will made stupid decisions like this unnecessarily disturbing me.

I don't know if they wanted to use the fact that he wasn't armed to work on the rise of his new powers later on, or something like that, but it's still a dumb move.

Anyway, I agree with your point! I hope that in the second book, they don't make him even more stupid.

My biggest issue with TSATS is literally Will not having a weapon. I’m re-reading right now and I’ll probably find more, but I remember that it has bugged me the most during my first read of this book, because… how are you going to Tartarus and not bring *any* kind of weapon?

I know that Will claims himself to be *just* a healer, but he has been at camp for years - he surely knew how to use a sword, a knife or a bow even if he wasn’t excelling at it. He survived 2/3 wars (not sure about 3 because I didn’t bother reading ToA until the end), watched majority of his siblings die and he just… went to literal Hell without a weapon?

It bugs me because they made Will STUPID in this book and he wasn’t stupid in PJO and HOO. He wasn’t even stupid in the first book of TOA, the only one that I’ve read till the end.

Like???? They knew about this prophecy for weeks and Will is no child of Athena but he wasn’t STUPID so why did they MAKE him stupid? Of course he would think to bring a weapon, he’s the head healer of CHB and counselor of cabin 7, he wouldn’t be this stupid to not bring any weapon, so why do Rick and Mark try to sell me a lie that he *is* stupid???

Okay, that was a particularly cute thought about Nico. Now I'm imagining that most of his decorations are glow-in-the-dark things.

Nico has a glow-in-the-dark sword and a glow-in-the-dark boyfriend. Does he collect shiny things?

I don't know what this apple art trend is, but I suddenly felt the urge to draw my favorite Riordianverse couples on it now.

But I think I'll change the fruit in some of them, mainly to fit the couple's story, and because I think it will be interesting to add references to some fruits from Greek/Roman and Nordic mythology (I haven't read the Kane brothers saga yet so I won't do them)

I have ideas for Solangelo and Percabeth, but I'll research for the Fierrochase. The most painful will be the Beckengard, yep. Hihihi.

My sadness is that I'll probably only be able to post all these arts after the trend dies, since they're not lasting as long as they used to...but I don't care. I hope those who follow me don't care about expiration dates either.

Enjoying things without worrying about silly internet rules is better for your mental health. (Except for those that rule against crimes that violate human rights, of course, the internet urgently needs them.)
