the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

tbh characters like galadriel are more important now than ever. there's morfydd clark saying that every time she's played a human woman, shame has been at the heart of the character, but there is no shame in galadriel.
galadriel turning her back on the ethereal light of elven heaven to hunt down and savage a demigod with her dead brother's dagger, only to accidentally fall in love with that demigod isn't the fragile, guilt-laden journey we're used to seeing women undertake.
it's unapologetic. it's defiant. it's staring into the storm and deciding you have the right to step forward into that tempest. (a decision men have made time and time again in story and in song while women are rarely given the opportunity.) she's not watching the rings of power from a distance. she's the heart of the show, her delirious appetite to kill sauron the only reason the story even exists in the first place. and yes, for those knowingly or unknowingly anxious about women, it's a hard watch. that's exactly why they should watch it.
i love galadriel. i hope she never takes her hand off the hilt of her sword. i hope she never learns shame.

I’ve seen some theories online saying that Kemen might become the mouth of Sauron and you know what, I can totally see that. Let’s be honest, he’s not bad ass enough to become a Nazgûl but that toothy bastard…hell yeah. Plus the mouth of Sauron is a black numenorean so that works too. The theory has won me over!

Some thoughts on Adar.
WARNING: Spoiler Alert 🚨 Don’t read unless you’ve seen the season two finale!
So, our dear Adar was killed. By his own children. Betrayed by Glug. It hurts.
But…I do think it’s the ending they always had planned for him. His death mirrors Sauron’s. Let’s be honest, Sauron would never let Adar live after his betrayal and it’s poignant Adar dies the same way. It’s bloody brutal but I think it ties his story arc nicely.
Don’t get me wrong. I would have loved more of Adar. Especially an exploration of him returning to the light and healing. But I think by the end of the episode he had returned to the light already; offering Galadriel her ring and the promise of future peace. He just did not see his children’s displeasure of being forced to fight again or foresee their betrayal. It’s a sad ending for him. (Just think, the last thing he sees is Sauron’s smug face. Jeez…)
I know many Adar fans will be in mourning but remember, we can always write fix’s where he lives, heals and sails off into the sunset. He lives on in our hearts ♥️ RIP ♥️
Last but not least, Joseph and Sam were both phenomenal as Adar. I loved them both.

More thoughts on the season finale. WARNING: Spoiler Alert 🚨 Only read if you’ve watched the season two finale.
- Towards the end of the episode we see Sauron with Feanor’s hammer, which I assume he will use (alongside his own blood) to forge the one ring. We also see Elendil take Narsil, the blade that will cut the ring from Sauron’s hand.
We see both Sauron’s way to power and the beginning of his downfall. As Celebrimbor tells him, he creates his own doom. All his power in one object, an object we know will ultimately be destroyed by one person, Gollum. Celebrimbor pretty much predicts it for Sauron and Sauron hates it.
Sauron weeps. I’d like to think a small slither of him is sad for killing Celebrimbor but let’s be honest, he’s crying for himself. I’m almost certain, deep down he knows he’s doomed.
- It’s implied at the end that Durin may end up wearing the ring that led to his father’s madness and death. (Loved that he managed to take the bloody ring off in the end though) With oppositions rising to take the throne they all look to the ring, be it warily at the moment. I’ve got a dreadful feeling Durin will eventually put it on. I can foresee lots of horrid things and it makes me sad. I love them so much. But the dwarves do dig and Khazad-Dum does fall…gotta get there somehow.
- Queen Miriel is seen in chains before Pharazôn. Am I right in thinking that he marries her in text to strengthen his claim to the throne? Forgive me friends, my knowledge isn’t as complete as I’d like. If a learned friend could confirm or deny that would be great. Whatever the case, I hope Elendil raises a force to rescue her.
- I think Eärien will see the errors of her way. She looked rather uncomfortable at points, especially when the faithful were declared as traitors and she immediately went to warn her father. When Isildur returns I think she will turn against Pharazon if she doesn’t before hand. A nice mini redemption arc would be sweet for her. Bonus points if she bumps off Kemen (although I think Isildur will do that!)
- Gandalf has arrived. Not sure how I feel about his early arrival but I must admit it’s bloody lovely to have him! He is such a wonderful character and we see now where his deep love of the Halflings comes from. I do wonder who the dark wizard is though. Any theories? I don’t know Tolkiens work well enough to guess myself. (I’ve only read the Silmarillion once and my poor mind couldn’t absorb much of it.)
- Did we see the birth of Rivendell? That’s where the elves are, right? Can’t wait to see that explored in season three.
- Gil-Galad and Galadriel getting on for once was lovely 🥰
- Elrond is perfection as always. For the record, I don’t think the kiss between Elrond and Galadriel was at all romantic. Just my opinion! If you ship them then that’s great. I just think it was a farewell kiss and a bit of distraction. They definitely love each other but just don’t see the romantic aspect myself. I loved when he put on the ring. He was so reluctant but did it for Galadriel. Loved it ❤️
That’s all for now! Send me your own thoughts and theories. I genuinely want to talk about this amazing series. Also, for anyone who knows the texts inside and out, teach me! And correct me when I’m wrong which is…probably a lot 😆

Ok Ringwraith fans. I have a theory brewing about Theo. WARNING: Spoiler Alert 🚨 Do not read unless you’ve seen the season 2 Finale.
So, most of us suspect that Theo will take one of the nine and become a Ringwraith. My theory is that Theo becomes a leader against the Numenoreans that have come to set up an outpost.
I can imagine Kemen won’t treat the Southlanders with any respect at all and resentment and anger will build. Cue Theo, our rebellious angry young man…and add Sauron, reappearing as Halbrand, the Southlands lost king. Sauron worms his way in, whispers all his bs in Theo’s ear and they work together to ‘overthrow’ the Numenoreans. Sauron will promise Theo rewards in the way of power, in the way of a ring. He takes it and vows to serve ‘Halbrand’ not realising he is serving the enemy, Sauron.
Then perhaps some delicious angst as Theo realises the truth but by then it’s too late and he slips under Sauron’s complete control turning into a wraith. Bonus points if Arondir either tries to warn him or comes too late to see the fall of his dead lovers son. Extra bonus points if they fight and it ends badly for Arondir…I love Arondir but it would be so beautifully tragic!
On the flip side, perhaps Sauron just appears as himself and Theo, already pissed off and angry just joins him willingly. I think the Halbrand deception would be more fun though.
Just my guess. What do you think? What are your theories? I personally can’t wait to meet one of the nine men that are absolutely doomed. ❤️

Wow 😮 what a finale! Bloody brilliant. My take aways in no particular order:
Spoiler Alert! 🚨
- Favourite line ‘The door is shut.’ Galadriel is awesome in this episode.
- Sauron being his usually self. Blaming everyone for his behaviour rather than himself and weeping because the truth hurts. He’s despicable but bloody gorgeous. I would fall for those weepy puppy eyes for sure 😆
- Sauron shape shifting into Halbrand to manipulate Galadriel was chefs kiss perfect.
- I wept for Celebrimbor. 😢 Loved his defiance and how he held up a mirror for Sauron before the end. Sauron was so fucking awful to him. Poor bloke. Really felt for him.
- I sobbed for Adar 😭 I bloody knew the writers would do that to him! Killed by his own children. Mirroring how the Uruks slaughtered Sauron at the start. He was so beautiful and I will miss him ❤️
- GANDALF!!!
- Narsil! Excited to see events transpire in Numenor next season.
- Balrog! Love the Balrog so much. Am I the only one that thinks he’s adorable? He’s like a large fiery puppy 🐶
- Sauron killing Glug at the end, showing his true colours and not giving a shit about him or the other Uruks. The look on Glug’s face said it all. He killed Adar for him and Sauron couldn’t care less.
- I feel Galadriel has truly returned to the light. Shes touched the darkness and now she has come home.
- The dwarves arriving just in time.
- Durin and Disa just being totally lovable as always ❤️ I had hoped the Balrog would eat that fucking ring though…I can see trouble ahead and it makes me afraid for them!
- Sauron holding Feanor’s hammer…it’s time to forge the one ring beautiful!
Phew! That’s all for now. Awesome episode, great season. Give me more!
