you took all of the words right out of my mouth. and yes, the natural actress, marjorie and the musical, cool and collected, zachary works so well together, they compliment each other, and they are such a dynamic duo!

Marjorie Lajoie/Zachary Lagha CAN: West Side Story

Lajoie and Lagha are one of the reasons I started to pay more attention to what was happening on the junior level of this sport. After following their rise through the junior ranks (culminating with a big win at Junior Worlds in 2019) I had a feeling L/L were going to transition seamlessly into the senior ranks. Despite their youth, there’s already something very mature about the way they skate. Their skating is smooth and precise and FAST. They’re beautifully matched: Marjorie is a natural actress and Zachary is the cool and collected pillar of the team. But they’re still youthful and exuberant enough to pull off the high energy music of West Side Story. There’s so much to admire in this young team. I can’t wait to see how their career progresses.

Favourite Programs of the 2019-2020 Season: Ice Dance Free Dance

Marjorie Lajoie/Zachary Lagha CAN: Bohemian Rhapsody

My babies are all grown up! L/L’s swift transition to the senior ranks has been one of the highlights of the season for me and this Bohemian Rhapsody program helped them do it. There was one competition where they had to skate back to back with another team who used the same music, but they managed to rise to the occasion. One thing that really impresses me about this young team is their speed: they manage to sail across the ice without sacrificing posture, technique, or flow, and they maintain that speed through the entire program. That solid technical grounding will carry them wherever their career leads.
