#1 Moonchild Monologues
Dear Moonchild,
Tonight is your first full moon night. The first time you’ll be in the same environment as the moon. The first time the moon will marvel at you in its own completeness.
The last time you and the moon were in each other’s presence was the evening you were born. You were born as the moon rose. It was as if both of you were making your ways to meet each other.
Both of you meet again tonight. What would you think of the moon? What would the moon think of you? Will you both be stunned by each other’s exquisiteness? Will it feel like you are actually looking at your own reflections? What would go on in your minds?
While I wonder what you’d be thinking, I realise it is going to be a wondrous night for me. For I’ll be in the presence of the world’s two most beautiful things!
I hope to make this moon gazing a family ritual until you get tired of it. Maybe you’ll want to sit by yourself then. Or with another person. Whatever it maybe I hope you discover the kind of therapy the moon provides you just like the therapy you provide me when you half smile in your sleep.
Looking forward to more full moons with you. To more fulfilling full moons together. To more moments of contentedness.
Love you to the moon and back a million times!

Iconography of Indian Desi Gods
Namaskar. The series of icons on Indian Gods under the hashtag #DesiGodIcons has been done in collaboration with SCD Balaji and Abhinaya Sudharsanam. In India, a country of innumerable Gods, we worship almost everything, from a tree/plant to a crow. The motive is to bow down to every being with a humble heart. This project has been started to document as many Indian Gods as possible. Hoping to cover as many Gods as we can.

Seize the day!
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles today To-morrow will be dying. The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun, The higher he's a-getting, The sooner will his race be run, And nearer he's to setting. That age is best which is the first, When youth and blood are warmer; But being spent, the worse, and worst Times still succeed the former. Then be not coy, but use your time, And, while ye may, go marry: For having lost but once your prime, You may forever tarry. ~ Robert Herrick

Kurinji - குறிஞ்சி ~ மலையும் மலை சார்ந்த இடமும்
Sangam poems were written during the Sangam period spanning between 300BC and 300AD by various poets. These poems were categorized into the five thinais/landscapes based on it's nature, mood, people etc.
Kurinji landscape is the first among the five sangam landscapes.
It refers to the mountains and the land adjoining it. The subject of the poem usually takes place during midnight in the tamil months of 'Aiypasi' and 'Karthikai' (oct - dec). Elephants are common in kurinji thinai poems.
As per the sangam landscapes, parts of districts like Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode,Namakkal and Karur fall under Kurinji thinai/landscape.
