End of week 7
I just hit the end of week 7 (so week 2 of Beta Cycle). It was an excellent workout - Dynamic Core and Speed 2.0. Lots of calories burned, lots of sweat, lots of struggle. I got on the scale yesterday - turns out the whole seven weeks I've been working out, I've gained a pound. Weird, but I'm not down. I've lost inches and I look like I've lost about 10 pounds. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm trading fat loss for muscle gain - I work myself out hard.
Can't wait for week 10. That's the end of Beta and I get to weigh myself again. :) Here's to progress.

Heyyyy....
It's been a while since I've posted. That's because I quit sometimes. But I'm back. Again. :D
I've been working out on and off - I've maintained a steady weight at about 182 pounds. I've given T25 a shot. I've stopped dieting because I really like to eat things that are bad for me. I like to eat those things better than other things - like fitting into smaller pants and not experiencing self-loathing.
Anyways. Four week ago I started a new workout... plan? schedule? thing?... I work out two to three hours a day, five days a week. This is officially week four and I've missed no workouts. I haven't been on a scale, so I don't know if I've lost weight. I am looking slimmer and fitting into smaller pants. So, you know, I feel like things are changing. I haven't taken a new comparison photo, either, so I don't have anything to look at. I want to wait. I want to wait until week 8 before I do anything.
If I can complete this week and next, it will be my longest work out streak ever. I have the next two months scheduled. I have a system. I just want it to work this time.

Starting Week 2 of Insanity
Unfortunately, I had a slight delay in getting week 2 started. We had some transportation problems and then an unexpected day off of our normal schedule which threw a wrench into the well-oiled machine that is my workout routine.
Anyways. I started it back up today - Week 2 Day 1 - Cardio Power & Resistance.
My legs feel like noodles. It's so wonderful. <3

End of Insanity Week 1
Today marks the completion of Week 1 of Insanity for me. Tomorrow is my rest day, which will be so very nice.
On Wednesday (unrelated: my daughter's first birthday!), I start Week 2 with Cardio Power and Resistance.
I'm feeling amazing. It feels great. The cardio is wonderful. It kicks my ass. And I feel so accomplished every time I finish a workout.

So...
If any of you read my posts consistently - which I'm not counting on, seeing as they are sporadic and kind of boring - I was suffering from some motivational loss. P90X was repetitive (duh) and took forever (duh) and I was super busy (duh) and then I was missing workout and getting grumpy (duh).
So, instead of wallowing in self-pity and excuses, and instead of quitting my workout schedule all together. I decided to incorporate a new program.
Two days ago I started Insanity - the fit test went well, it was ridiculous and I did terribly, but it went well. Yesterday was Day One with the Cardio Plyometric Circuit. Today was Day Two, Cardio Power and Resistance.
I love Insanity. It's one of the best things I've ever decided to do. :)

Week 6 - Again
I'm repeating Week 6. I suffered some motivational loss and ended up missing 3 workouts completely - half of all planned workouts just didn't get done.
Instead of going into Week 7, I decided to repeat Week 6. I restructured my schedule to give me more time to get my workouts in.
An interesting obstacle will be University. I just started yesterday. Thankfully, I'm only half time, which helps a ton. I am taking some really reading and writing intensive classes though (Feminist Inquiry), which will suck up time for me.
No more video games for a while - gotta make time for my workouts.
In other news: progress!
I weighed in at 181.3!!! 1.3 pounds left to go before I will hit my official pre-baby weight. I'm feeling pretty good!
Time to go, though, I've got a 2 hour workout ahead of me right now.

Week 6
So, week five was pretty... crappy. I missed two workouts. It was really lame and I suck.
Week 6 started in a similar fashion - I skipped my Monday workout. I'm a terrible person.
I did Day 2, though. I did it. And I'll do Day 3. And Day 4. And Day 5. And Day 6. And then I'll do Day 1 on Sunday.
That's the plan.

Week 5 - When Shit Gets Real
Today is the start of Week 5. I finished workout number 1 (45 minutes cardio - pushed myself hard). A little while later in the day, I'll be getting in workout number 2 (1 hour weight lifting + 15 minute abs). Tomorrow is the 30 Day Weigh-In and Progress Photos. :)

Almost done with Week 4
I can't express, again, how utterly excited I am to jump into Week 5. The doubles routine takes full effect - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each get 2 to 2.5 hours of exercise (50 minutes of cardio - 1 hr of weight lifting - 15 min ab work), Tuesdays is an hour of high impact cardio, Thursdays is 1.5 hours of yoga, and Saturdays get another hour of cardio.
I'm so pumped. :D

So, I guess this should have gone at the beginning?
I just realized that I've stopped and started this tumblr so many times that I completely forgot to do an introduction this time.ย 
I think part of me thought I was just going to quit again, so I didn't bother.
Well, I'm sticking to it (almost 60 days in!) and I think it is time for that introduction that should have happened 60 days ago.
My nickname is Zamber. I'm 21 years old. I'm a chick. I'm a part-time student. I'm a full-time Mommy. My daughter is almost 11 months old. I'm getting married in November. I've been with my fiance for almost 6 years. I'm going into graduate school next year - for clinical psychology. I'm trying to lose weight and get fit. That's me!

Weekly Weigh In
I have officially lost 15 pounds off of my starting weight.
I weighed in yesterday at 185.ย 
Five pounds to go and I'll be at pre-baby weight.
Another five pounds after that (175) and I'll weigh the least I have in almost 6 years.
Another five pounds after that (170) and I'll weigh the least I have in almost 8 years.
Next week I start doubles (Cardio in the AM and muscle building in the PM). I'm so pumped.ย

Almost the end of Week 3
I'm super happy. This is the furthest I've ever made it into P90X and I have no intentions of stopping.
I've almost finished week three, just about to go into recovery week, and I'm actually LOOKING FORWARD to starting my doubles routine in Week 5.
In Week 5, I'll be doing the same circuit that I am now, but on each weight lifting day (three days a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), I'll be adding an extra 45 minutes of cardio. Plyo on Tuesday, Yoga on Thursday, and Kenpo on Saturday with Sunday as my rest day.
I've lost almost 20 pounds. My photo progress day is coming up (after my first day in Doubles). I weigh in on Monday.
I'm super happy. :)

Week 3 Day 2 - Plyometrics
Normally, I hate Plyo. It makes me feel sick and makes me want to die and I usually cry while I'm in the shower.
Today I had Plyo.
Today, I loved Plyo.
It's cleansing. It's challenging. It makes me feel good. It makes me want to take on the day!
I'm probably going to cry, but it's for an entirely different reason. I'm down almost 15 pounds, I can jump higher, push harder, breathe more efficiently, move faster - I feel better.
Here's to Plyo!
