For about a year mine has been "this is my spiritual worship", adapted from Romans 12:1 - 'I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.' 💗

This morning started early, the kind where you get to city hall before it opens because there's already a line 😬. What to do when you have a morning to yourself? I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. 🍒 I grew up in a Christian tradition that has a deep care for creation and a part of the world where creation sings in its beauty as the trees sway and berries ripen. Today as we picked a huge haul of blueberries and blackberries from my parent's garden I was reminded of how beautiful it is when we work with creation and not against it. When I remember the gift that it is, then the hours spent crawling under the netting turn into time for good chats with @dimivanroy as we taste the bounty between the branches. City life is so much determined by my own schedule, but today creation wanted to give me food (physical and spiritual) in its own perfect timing.
