Hi diary!

On the 12th we got into the car at half nine and headed off to Lapland. We visited an amusement park on the way here. It was meant to be a surprise, but I had guessed it a long time ago! I had so much fun there! My favorite ride there was called Dragon Tower! It’s a 75 meters tall drop tower. Jace forced me to take it twice and it was amazing! ♡ When we were at the top we joked about jumping to a pool that was on the yard of a nearby house. We also rode Music Express eight times. They recommended that the heaviest rider should sit at the outer edge of the carriage, but we saw the sign too late and I, being the smallest, of course sat at the outer edge and was crushed by the boys! I also rode this one water ride many times, but I don’t remember its name. 

Now we’re at our cabin. ♡ The village is surrounded by mountains. We have visited a nice lake and a sacrificial stone near it, a natural center, a patisserie and different stores, a spa and a bouldering center, a petting zoo that's just across the lake from our cabin, and hiked on three different fells (and I brought three rocks as souvenirs from one).

Hi! 

As I said, I have more time to write during the summer!

On Wednesday at 9 am I had a dental X-ray. It was funny! That evening we had a match. We lost and Marley was hit in the face by the ball and it looked really painful!

On Thursday I painted a chicken coop with Tom and my grandparents! They are going to get three Silkies! ♡

Today I was with Sonny, Evie and Landon. At first we hung out at Landon's place and jumped on his trampoline. After some time we went to the beach where we played beach volley, and I played football with Sonny! ♡

Now I’m at home getting bored. I might go somewhere with Wendy tomorrow!

Hi!

I’m sorry for not writing much. But I’m on my summer break now, so I should have plenty of time to write. I said I would tell you about the ‘lovely things’; they are Sonny, Emile, and other boys! I don’t feel like writing about them now, though, so I’m going to tell you about the last couple of days. 

Friday was the last day of school, and for me the last day of fourth grade. Soon after school started that morning, we started cleaning our desks. First, it had to be emptied. Then I vacuumed it clean and turned it over. I wiped its legs with a damp towel, turned it back over and then wiped the desk itself, inside and out. Once we were finished with our own class, we had to go help the second graders. We had a short break after that. After the break we continued to clean our classroom and got to play billiard. Before leaving, our teacher thanked and hugged each of us. Evie and I stayed to help her clean after others had left. 

After school I went to Evie’s place, where we made a card for our English teacher. On it we wrote: “Mary is… lovely, nice, perfect, kind, the best teacher, beautiful, funny, smart, happy” and two more adjectives that I can’t remember right now. Then we went to their living room and watched some videos on Instagram. 

The next day we had our spring ceremony at school. My class sang a children's song in Italian:

Nel nido aspettano tre piccolini che torni la mamma con i semini; là giockano, saltano, mangiano e poi  sfiniti e contenti si appisolano.

At the end of the ceremony the first graders handed roses to the sixth graders. They didn’t have enough roses and Elly was left without one, but a random grandpa from the audience gave her a rose! That was really sweet! ♡ After the seremony we were given our certificates. My grades were all 9 except religion, which was 10!

At home we set up the tent I stayed the night there with Tessa. We had a lot of fun, but I’m not going to explain further now. I have this game with Evie that we call ‘Hyöriäiset’. It’s the funniest thing ever!

Hi. :)

I didn’t write on my birthday, even though I said I would. Sorry about that. I had a nice day and got a new phone, a mini soccer ball for practicing tricks, and balloons etc. We didn’t have any other guests than my grandparents. ♡ I don’t have much to talk about. 

Today we went swimming in PE. It would have been fun if our teacher hadn't ruined it with her shenanigans… After school I had football practice. Everything went well but I forgot my hoodie there…!

My father just came to my room to tell me that I should find some nice shirts for my brother. Anyways, I have some lovely things to think about! ♡ I’m will tell you about them later.

Hi! ♡

Two weeks ago I stayed at Sam's place for two nights. It was quite nice! The following week was a normal one. The 22nd was both Tessa and Emile’s birthday! Emile turned 12 and Tessa 11. But her and I have joked that she turned 3, haha.

I was at a concert yesterday. ♡ It was amazing! It was held at a nearby school, and I went with Tessa. Teagan and Ruth were also there, and so was Wendy S and her friends. I liked the opening band a lot, and one of their songs became an inside joke between Wendy and I. 

Everyone started screaming when the band came on stage! At the end of the concert I managed to get myself in the front row and touched the hands of two of the members! ♡ Afterwards we waited to get signatures and photos. The photos turned out really well! And Tessa got only one heart on the signatures, whereas I got two!

When I got home I watched the final of Suvivor. Cochran won, but Dawn should’ve!

My birthday is on Wednesday! ♡ I will write again then. Bye!

Hi!

Today I went to see the nurse at school. I asked her about my dizziness. She didn’t have much to say about it, but she’ll see me again on Tuesday. Then I will also mention my knee problems. 

I was with Evie after school today. We visited Sonny to give him an Oreo ice cream I had promised him and later hung out with him and some others. We played three rounds of Uno and then Sonny started teasing Evie..! I was so jealous! I lied to my grandma that I was at some event... I feel horrible about it!

Let’s talk about last weekend. It was a long weekend since we had Friday and Monday off for Easter. On Friday I went to my grandparent’s place and stayed a night there. On Saturday I hung out with Elsie. We didn’t do much, just, you know, hung out. 

Maude also came to visit and I ended up going with her and stayed at her place for two nights! We visited her summerhouse, an archeological museum, a botanical garden, and this really big park. I had a lot of fun with her. I came home by bus on Monday.

Hi, honey! ♡

This week has been unforgettable! In the beginning of the week we got a new gym ball because the old one broke. On the same day I went shopping with Evie, Sonny, and his friend Austin. 

On Tuesday we had a disco! ♡ It went quite well… There was a limbo competition, as always, and I placed second. Emile won. After the competition I started tearing up and everyone wanted to hug me! ♡ Then I slow danced with Sonny, while Izzy, Tilly, and others were trying to signal to me with their hands that I should to look him in the eyes..!

My father left for work after I got home at around ten. Tom came home soon as well. 

At night I couldn’t sleep because I was deep in my imagination:

Emile won the limbo competition and I watched him celebrate his victory. I started crying and told my friends that I would go outside to calm down and wanted to be alone. Emile saw me walk outside. I sat down on the ground by the door. 

Soon the door opened, but I didn’t have to look to see who came outside, I just knew in my heart that it was him. He sat down next to me and we just sat there in silence for a while. Then he asked if it bothered me that he won. “No. It was a competition. In competitions the best one always wins. You were better than me, so you rightfully won.” He didn’t say anything.

“They’re playing slow dancing songs.” I finally looked at him. “I was wondering if you’d like to dance. We could make up for the past. Will you do me the honor?” He asked me. So we went inside and danced. Tom saw us and was shocked to see us together, and after the dance my friends were astounded as well. 

After the disco ended, he was waiting for me outside. He took my hand and led me behind the building. He stood before me and held both of my hands. He gave me compliments and asked me to be his girlfriend. 

Then I fell asleep. But next night, the same thing. I couldn’t sleep and continued the fantasy:

It was the next day and I was now dating Emile. I saw Sonny in the hallway and I asked if he’s okay with me dating someone else. I didn’t want his feelings to be hurt. He said it was okay but seemed upset. I still wanted to trust that he’d be okay, so Emile and I made it official. 

I could write much more about this but I don’t feel like writing at all right now.

Hi!

I’m really happy! ♡ I’ve started wearing makeup to school. I usually wear some eye shadow and blush. It’s not much but I like it. 

We started tracking our daily exercise with my class on Monday. The rule is that you earn one point for every ten minutes you are on the move. I’ve been getting 21 points on average. 

On Friday we played volleyball in PE! I loved it. We had to pick partners and I was with Evie, and, to no one's surprise, Tessa got jealous... Then, after school I went shopping with Evie, and Tessa was clearly very mad at me. She was texting me about how unfair it was all day...

On Saturday we went to the movies with our entire school! The film was quite good. From the cinema I went to Teagan's place. We played badminton and football. We were supposed to hang out with Tilly (Mathilda) as well but I had to leave before we got the chance. 

Today I haven’t done anything unusual. I think I’m going to take Poppy for a walk. ♡ She’s this older lady’s dog that lives nearby. I walk her and many other dogs in the neighbourhood. ♡

Hey! ♡

I just came home from the store with my father. We got colour-changing LED lights for my room. We put them up above my bed and they’re really nice!

This morning I had football practice. On the way there I realized I had forgotten my cleats… My team went for a jog first, meanwhile my father went back home to bring me my cleats. He was very punctual; he got back right when we finished our run. 

Yesterday we went to a cat shelter, where Terri's son Jace has a summer job. Or, wait… it can’t be a summer job since it’s winter, but anyway. (I just caught a candy on my mouth!) There was this adorable cat called Neko! ♡

We also got a keyboard instrument yesterday.

Hi! 

I have only ten minutes before I have to leave.

My class is going skiing today with the Winter War veterans! The event is held in the memory of the war that ended almost exactly 75 years ago. There will also be a concert.

Some days ago Tessa and I went out with Sonny, Eric, Landon, and Evan. It was fun. A little bit awkward, but fun.

Evan: Who's "little Wendy"? Sonny: Little Wendy is Little Wendy. Evan: Wait, is she the one with the big... The Keller girl? Sonny: Why would "Little Wendy" be Viola Keller? Evan: Ah, right! The who on Earth is she? Sonny: Wendy K... No, Rowena K! Tessa, hopelessly: She's Rowena K... Everyone: laughs

I was an idiot and fooled everyone by telling them I have a crush on someone named Simon who goes to another school… I regret lying! I made it up because I didn’t want to admit that I like Sonny… But there’s nothing I can do about it now. I’ve got to go!

Heya, diary!

I came home about three hours ago. I was at the hotel with Hadley. She had asked in the girls’ WhatsApp group if someone could go there with her and her family for two nights, and I said I could in the event that I couldn’t go to my sister’s. 

The next day they picked me up. Before going to the hotel we had lunch, and Hadley and I looked through all the calendars in a store to make sure all of them had my name marked on the 24th of July. 

Our hotel room was quite small but I liked it regardless. We went swimming etc. In the evening, when we were meant to go to sleep, we just played on our phones and her tablet. We went to sleep at half twelve!

In the morning we went swimming again and ate pizza. Then her parents had to go somewhere and a lot happened while they were gone! We climbed the stairs at least two hundred times, because we didn’t know how to use the elevator! Then our key card stopped working so we couldn’t get into our room - so we had to take the stairs again! We asked a cleaning lady what to do with the card, but she was foreign and didn’t speak Finnish very well, so we had some difficulty understanding her. She told us to go to the reception where we were given a new card. 

Then we saw this very old couple at the door. The woman was waving her hands around and the man was digging into his pockets and then gave her their key card. She didn’t know how to use it (or her hands were shaking too much to use it) so Hadley and I opened the door for them. The woman had some kind of a speech impediment and couldn’t speak properly, but they thanked us and seemed very sweet. They went in and took the elevator. Guess what we did? We took the stairs.

Later Hadley started photographing her pullip doll, Mitchie, and I wrote a note for her parents on the door: “When you come in, ask if we’ve had problems!” We hid behind a curtain, and at first they couldn’t find us, but then we started laughing.

In the evening we went shopping. I bought a giant pencil and a tiny notebook, a funny-looking hourglass, and a Newton’s cradle. 

Before bed we had a party and jumped on the bed and everything! We went to sleep after eleven. 

Next morning (today) we went swimming and shopping before going home. In the mall I found my paradise: a furniture store! I also bought white jeans, chocolate for Tom (although he gave it back to me) and a Me to You bear card because I love the bear!

Then I came home and now I’m sitting here, writing. Tom is bothering me, bye!

Hi!

Tom and I didn’t visit Sam after all, because her son, Easton, had an asthma attack and is now in the hospital! If we don’t get to go to her place, I might get to go to a hotel with my friend Hadley. We could go shopping and swimming together!

Today Sonny created a WhatsApp group with me, Evie and Tessa. There he told us a pervy poem he knew! (Although he had told it to me before.) Then he asked us to go to his place to play truth or dare. 

I was looking for shirts in an online store earlier, and guess what came up when I wrote “girl’s shirt” in the search bar? Nothing but panties and bras!

Hi again! 

I’m ecstatic right now! ♡ Tom and I just switched rooms! But let’s talk about something else first… 

Our teacher was absent today, because she was a coach in a ski competition, so we had a substitute teacher. The substitute is normally very nice—or, she’s nice when there is another adult in the room with her. But today she was alone with us and it was awful!

But enough of that. When I came home, I did my math homework and soon we started moving the furniture. We took everything out of my room and cleaned it, and then brought everything from Tom’s room in. Then we cleaned his (old) room before moving all of my stuff there. Vivi was also there to “help” us… 

Tom’s room turned out really nice. I like mine too, it’s cozy and welcoming, just how I like it!

On Sunday we will visit my sister, Sam! ♡ Tom and I will go to a spa with Sam, her husband, and their two kids.

Heya!

I went shopping with my grandma recently. I got a lovely shirt and a hoodie. She also bought me a Betty Boop bag. ♡

The day after we didn’t have school. On that day Tessa came over and said “I wish Sonny and Eric would ask us out!” Right after that I got a message and guess who it was - It was Sonny! And guess what he said - “Could you, Tessa, and Evie do something with me and Eric?” And we did! ♡

The next day was school. I was so in love with Sonny. ♡ But something our teacher said made me feel very gloomy… Someone asked her if Sonny was sick, and she said “Yeah, he’s sick. Actually… He’s in the hospital… He has diabetes.” I was holding back tears..! Why him?! But we’ll get used to it. After school I texted him and he told me something that I’m not allowed to tell anyone else… (I just wrote his initials on my hand. ♡)

We have a school disco on the 24th of March! Yay! ♡ I will win the limbo competition! I hope Sonny and Eric will ask me to dance… Otherwise I will cry! But now I must study for my biology test!

Hi!

How wonderful it is to have time to write again! Guess what? Evie and I have made up! I should probably mention something about this to my father, because he doesn’t know anything about the whole thing… 

I was just playing Crossy Road with Tom and we tried to get the Black Sheep mascot. Now we have to wait for fourteen minutes before trying again! 

There’s a Coca-Cola Vanilla bottle filled with water in front of me… The water’s warm, though. 

I should write an essay about a book I read for school. And I told you about the plastic bag design competition, and today our teacher picked whose design is the best, and it wasn’t mine...

I also found out what abstract art is, but I don’t know how to explain it… 

I wonder what I’ll be when I grow up. An architect? An interior designer? Or perhaps the world will end before that… I wish Russia was different...

Hi again. ♡

I had a pretty normal day at school again. We made designs for plastic bags, and one of them will be used in an actual bag at a local grocery store! I was very happy with mine.

I’ve been thinking of making up with Evie after our fight, but I don’t know how. Over a text? I don’t know…

After school I went over to Vivi's house. Her dog is so precious. ♡ We meant to bake something but didn’t have time to because we played video games all day.

Tomorrow we’ll go to the premiere of Big Hero 6. How exciting! 

Tom gave me a riddle today: What is abstract art? I won’t ask anyone, I will find out myself!

It's almost 8 pm and I just came home. I was third (second to last...) on both rounds. That’s a pretty good achievement! I had a lot of fun and I will definitely go bowling again some day!
