There’s a scene in system collapse where murderbot and art are talking in the medbay after REDACTED and murderbot is trying to put into words how it feels and fuckkk. Kevin did not have to go this hard. The line is “something in me broke” and the delivery is fucking incredible. There’s a voice crack and the desperation and helplessness. The jump between the relatively calm mental voice to the devastation in its speaking voice is so visceral. That one line delivery made me cry. (Minute 28 of chapter 6 if you wanna listen)

if i am evil. i create character A, who indulges often. always eating, always fucking. but time and time again reveal that he is not hungry. he is not lustful. he performs hunger and doesnt truly feel it. he performs sexuality and doesnt truly feel it. and for fifteen years he performs indulgence into desire he doesnt feel. i create character B, who does not indulge. never eating, never fucking. but time and time again reveal that he IS hungry. he is lustful. he denies hunger but feels it deeply. he denies sexuality but feels it deeply. and for fifteen years he refuses to indulge in the desire he feels. and then. in the final season. allow character A to finally desire something. allow character B to confess his desire. and then kill them both before either is able to really indulge in something they truly desire. if i am evil. i do this.

i put the obvious destiel colors there so people would be able to tell without me having to draw the faces, and yes i know its lazy but ignore that (please)

I finished Network Effect the other day and I Iove that with the introduction of Three we get the distinct impression that the autism-like traits Murderbot has been attributing to being a SecUnit may not actually have anything to do with it being a SecUnit. Like this book went babygirl (gender neutral) maybe you're just autistic.
