Perhaps it was not love we wanted after all, perhaps it was imply someone in whom to believe, but how can we continue to believe in the beloved now that they believe in us?

Essays In Love by Alain De Botton (212 pages) - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
"Though love might never be painless and was certainly not wise, neither could it be forgotten. It was as inevitable as it was unreasonable."
This is one of the shorter books I've read recently and it was exactly what I needed to get back into the swing of reading again. A beautiful and realistic depiction of love and relationships not bound by the era it was written in; these feelings have existed long before we were born and will continue to be felt long after we are gone. The writing in itself is a blend of fictional story telling alongside philosophical introspection, which isn't overwhelming especially in the context of the story. I've always loved books that have allowed me to feel smarter coming out of them so I could not reccomend this book more!

The purest form of love is consideration. When someone thinks about how things would make you feel. Pays attention to detail. Holds you in regard when making decisions that could affect you. In any bond, how much they care about you can be found in how much they consider you

How can I describe my life to you? I think a lot, listen to music, I'm fond of flowers.
