artfight is over so here's everything I did!! I had a goal to do 31 attacks total but lost motivation 2/3rds of the way through the month and so didn't reach it :/ but I still had a lot of fun and am really proud of all my attacks!! I think I also improved and learned a lot :3

Athena design!!!!

Ody for scale + pretty bad drawing of whats she looks like post injury and without her helmet

ok now a bit of yapping: basically her lil cloak that she has does transform into her wings, the owl clasp on it becomes like a tattoo on her chest when that happens. (while making this I realized that very few Athena designs have actual wings)

Also I changed the clasp on Ody's cape thingy to an owl to mimic Athena's: it's the mark that he's her warrior of the mind. After My Goodbye, that clasp changes to the triangle like how I usually draw it. It's my headcanon that Athena gives her students a cape that's a replica of hers and Ody had that for a while but before he left for war, Penelope made him the cape that I draw him in, and Athena agreed to let him wear it if she changed the clasp to an owl; that's why he still has it after My Goodbye. And Telemachus had one of those capes so Ody immediately knew he was training under Athena when he saw it :3

Before her character arc, she never took her helmet off and especially not around mortals because she wanted to maintain the image of a fierce war goddess, but afterwards she does because she isn't as afraid to open up to and make friends with mortals, so in ICHBW Ody was quite surprised to see that she not only has hair but that her hair is orange lmao (also something to be said about orange being the complementary color of blue and Athena hiding that)

Oh and her injury making her actually have a pupil!! I have a whole bunch of lore about gods having pupils vs not, so that very much does mean something, lemme know if yall want a post yapping about that
